Defense attorney and former prosecutor Eric Faddis joins us live for a comprehensive analysis of two major murder cases: the Michael McKee prosecution in Ohio and the Kouri Richins trial beginning in Utah.On McKee: The affidavit is unsealed. Surveillance footage allegedly places him at the Tepe property three weeks before the murders. Witnesses describe years of death threats. His phone went dark during the killing window. His vehicle was allegedly tracked arriving before and leaving after. Eric breaks down the prosecution's strongest evidence—then reveals the defense playbook: the motions to exclude prior abuse, the hearsay fights over Monique's statements, and how to reframe damning evidence for a jury.On Richins: Trial starts February 23rd, but the prosecution is wounded. A new motion alleges investigators threatened witnesses with arrest and immunity revocation if they didn't cooperate. Key witness Robert Crozier has recanted, now saying he sold OxyContin, not fentanyl. The FBI profiler is limited. Domestic violence evidence is excluded. The "Walk the Dog" letter is only partially in.No fentanyl recovered. No pills. Five times the lethal dose—but a broken supply chain and a witness who says he got it wrong.Eric Faddis has prosecuted cases like these and defended them. He knows what each side is planning and what keeps them up at night.Join us live with your questions for the complete breakdown.#MichaelMcKee #MoniqueTepe #KouriRichins #EricRichins #LiveTrueCrime #MurderTrial #HiddenKillersLive #WitnessRecants #TrueCrimeAnalysis #WitnessIntimidationJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Domestic abuse is an unfortunate reality for far too many people. Many people will flee a bad situation with no real plan for the future beyond surviving. Today, we chat with Patti Slaughter, the Founder and Executive Director of The Bernie House. Named for Patti's father and his legacy of caring, The Bernie House (or houses) is a place for families to live in a true home while they get back on track. Victims of domestic violence will typically flee their situation after seven incidents, but shelters are only a temporary solution. The Bernie House and its four homes are what comes next! (And to correct a statistic that I tried to recall when speaking with Patti-- 2 out of 5 people are victims of domestic abuse!) During their stay, resources for education, employment, and life skills are made available. At the end of their stay, all the contents of their home are left with them. Truly, this is an amazing organization that defines the phrase "small but mighty." We also hopped on the phone with Stephanie Canali, who has written a book about her situation and her experience with The Bernie House-- Breaking Chains, Building Homes: The Bernie House Transformation. Stephanie's story is one of grit and perseverance with a VERY happy ending! Plus, she'll be at Hearts and Hatters (see below) signing books! We also chat about Hearts and Hatters! This gala is an annual event around this time of the year, held in support of The Bernie House. And it is a great time to boot! This year, it will be held on Valentine's Day at the Graduate by Hilton Hotel on West Street. Tickets are available at The Bernie House's website or on the Where In Annapolis (app). Have a listen! Free Press (1/26/26) This week on CounterSpin: There are reports that people out in the street opposing ICE abductions of their neighbors are chanting, “We're not cold, we're not afraid. Minnesota made us brave.” Around the country, people who never called themselves “political” are moving out of their comfort zone to register their opposition to violent, state-sanctioned power being unleashed on their communities in the service of racist authoritarianism. The spark is the murders by ICE of Keith Porter, Renee Good and Alex Pretti—that's just this year—but the resistance in Minneapolis isn't sprouting from nowhere; it has roots. Corporate news media evince little understanding of the kind of local, neighbor-to-neighbor communication and connection that has existed for decades, and that today is pulling people together across race, gender, age, class, religion lines in Minneapolis. That's just one way elite media remove themselves further every day from the conversations people want to have. But elite reporters could at least use their proximity to power to talk about what the state and corporate forces are doing to try and squelch the growing resistance, including basic rights you'd hope journalists would care about, like that of people to witness actions carried out with their money and in their name. Our guest put together a report on how “DHS Is Expanding Domestic Surveillance While Targeting Efforts to Document and Dissent.” Jenna Ruddock is Advocacy Director at the group Free Press. We hear from her this week on CounterSpin. https://media.blubrry.com/counterspin/content.blubrry.com/counterspin/CounterSpin260130Ruddock.mp3 Plus Janine Jackson takes a quick look at press coverage of the Minneapolis clampdown, and at the lack of recent coverage of Gaza. https://media.blubrry.com/counterspin/content.blubrry.com/counterspin/CounterSpin260130Banter.mp3

The January 28 edition of the AgNet News Hour delivered one of the most detailed and urgent updates yet on the unfolding Potter Valley water crisis, as hosts Nick Papagni and Josh McGill sat down with longtime local veterinarian Rich Brazil to explain what's truly at stake if the Potter Valley Project dams are removed. The message was clear: this isn't just a Northern California issue — it's a warning for every rural community in the state. Brazil, who has lived and worked in Potter Valley for 38 years, explained that the region's farms, ranches, homes, and businesses exist because of a century-old water diversion system connecting the Eel River to the Russian River watershed. That small diversion — roughly 30,000 acre-feet — represents less than one-half of one percent of the Eel River's annual flow, yet supports agriculture, domestic water supplies, fire protection, and entire rural economies downstream. Environmental groups are pushing to remove Scott Dam and Cape Horn Dam, arguing that free-flowing rivers will restore fish populations. Brazil countered that argument with hard data. Over the past 20 years, diversion flows have already been cut by 60 to 80 percent, yet salmon numbers have continued to decline. “That tells you the problem isn't the water diversion,” Brazil said. “It's habitat issues, predators, and offshore impacts.” One of the most alarming consequences Brazil outlined is what would happen if the dams were removed outright. Behind the dams sit an estimated 20 to 40 million cubic yards of sediment. If released, that material could bury the river system in silt, destroying spawning habitat and harming the very fish the removals are meant to protect. Meanwhile, communities would lose reliable water overnight. Domestic wells would dry up, farmland would be abandoned, and property values would collapse. Brazil emphasized that local leaders have repeatedly proposed compromise solutions — including fish ladders and infrastructure upgrades — that would allow fish recovery while preserving water reliability for people. Those options, he said, were rejected outright. “This isn't about sharing,” he warned. “This is about taking everything.” The conversation also touched on the broader political landscape. Brazil believes the Potter Valley dams have become symbolic targets in California's aggressive environmental agenda, and that rural communities are being treated as expendable. However, he expressed cautious optimism thanks to recent engagement from U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins and NRCS Chief Aubrey J. D. Bettencourt, calling their involvement a turning point after years of being ignored at the state level. Papagni and McGill stressed that the Potter Valley fight mirrors other California battles — from wolves to water storage — where policy decisions are made far from the people who live with the consequences. As Brazil put it, “If this can happen here, it can happen anywhere.” The episode closed with a call for awareness, engagement, and persistence. “Sunlight matters,” Brazil said. “When people understand what's really happening, common sense still has a chance.”
Harvey and Jim discuss the domestic and international thugery being displayed by the trump administration. They start off with an update (????) on Minneapolis and then switch to clips from Jeffrey Sachs and John Mearsheimer from Breaking Points.
Some will get with the program, and some will be crushed in the process. The predictable pattern they are currently running looks extremely insane. They knew people would follow the stars, so now it's an operation. Fake representation of the public while initiating chaos. The loudest denials are not from the most guilty. Organized operations were started early on. Distractions make things look foggy. Precision matters in real work. The FBI has it all. Where there is no evidence, there is no crime. Proximity to power is not insight. Alleged allies are funding subversion. Real briefings are happening elsewhere. The largest groups presents themselves as allies because it's profitable. Dismissal does not stop serious investigations. Pattern recognition shows danger. It's not Soros behind all this. Selective exposure is another of their tactics. Congress members are in the signal calls. We should run Paxton like a race horse. Let's cut some thunder and do the work. Harvard is funded by the ChiComs. ICE once protected the vulnerable. The NRO is more important. Influencers poison the truth well. It's hard, but we have to carefully listen to their plans and decipher the mindset. Then let's all pray for victory, and humanity.
Tara delivers one of the starkest warnings yet: what's unfolding in Minneapolis isn't protest — it's the early infrastructure of a domestic insurgency ⚠️

In this episode, I'm joined by Lisa Johnson, co-founder of Been There Got Out, for an important conversation about coercive control and high-conflict divorce. Together, we explore the critical difference between typical divorce conflict — which usually de-escalates over time — and controlling behavior that escalates, creating ongoing fear, instability, and exhaustion. Lisa is a high-conflict divorce strategist and a certified domestic violence advocate who has successfully represented herself through scores of court appearances. Her case was published in the Connecticut Law Journal and is now being used as legal precedent...something that's incredibly rare for a self-represented litigant. Her live testimony also helped pass Jennifer's Law in Connecticut, making it the third state in the country to expand its legal definition of domestic violence to include coercive control: a form of abuse that so many people experience, but often struggle to name or be taken seriously around. Lisa and her partner, Chris, now coach people navigating high-conflict relationships, divorce, custody battles, and what many describe as co-parenting hell — helping them have the best possible outcome in family court and beyond. They also offer a weekly Legal Abuse Support Group for those dealing with narcissistic opponents in legal matters. Lisa explains how coercive control can include manipulation, financial abuse, and legal abuse, often carried out in quiet, passive ways that are easily misunderstood or minimized. The episode sheds light on why some individuals never "cool down," how the legal system can be used as a tool of control, and why patience and better communication are not enough in these situations. Domestic violence doesn't always leave bruises. It can look like creating fear through quiet control, financial strain, or legal pressure. Submarine and A Roach—Nigeria's funniest podcast and the #1 comedy podcast in Nigeria—presents “Seyi Tinubu's Internet,” hosted by TMT & Koj. The boys kick off with money talk: childhood class realities, why degrees don't guarantee a soft life, and how “education vs. wealth” plays out in real families. Geography nerdery slides in next: is Greenland effectively an extension of Denmark, and which country secretly wins the “most time zones” trick? (Hint: France.) Plus, Koj's trivia plans with Toronto Raptors tickets as the grand prize. Then Bible lore meets modern Lagos: King Solomon's “split-the-baby” dilemma as a lens for frustration. Domestic life gets delicious: plating as a mental-health unlock, chicken love (and chicken slander), and the immortal wisdom that wraps are “an efficient transportation method.” (Salad & Bread) Fashion & Tumblr-core arrive with sunglasses-by-dictators, and the Lagos Millennial fashion crisis: too much “put it on,” not enough “authenticity.” Finally, internet culture proper: the Brooklyn-Peltz Beckham AI-handstand moment; “agenda” accounts reframing wedding clips into propaganda; and a chaotic IShowSpeed Lagos tour ranked by moments—baby hand-off, horseback riding, and speed's speedy legwork lesson. It's wealth gaps, Bible parables, geography hot takes, plated lunches, Tumblr aesthetics, and the algorithm's favorite sons—by the Submaroach boys.

In this Wednesday Headline Brief of The Wright Report, Bryan explains the fast-moving crisis over Greenland, why European military moves triggered President Trump's tariff threats, and how the fallout is already hitting markets and mortgage rates. He then turns to two strategically vital islands, Greenland and Diego Garcia, outlining why U.S. control of both matters for missile defense, China containment, and future war planning. Bryan argues Britain's deal to hand Diego Garcia to Mauritius is dangerously naive and urges Washington to act before Beijing exploits the opening. Back in the Americas, U.S. forces seize a seventh ghost-fleet oil tanker tied to Iran, Russia, and China, while Mexico quietly extradites 37 cartel leaders, handing U.S. intelligence a major win that could reshape cartel operations this year. Domestically, Bryan covers escalating clashes between Democrats and ICE in Minnesota, the DOJ investigation into state leaders after activists stormed a Christian church, and growing evidence of coordinated efforts to shield criminal illegal aliens from deportation. He closes with economic good news from Davos, where global bankers praise the strength of the U.S. economy under President Trump, and warns listeners to prepare for a severe winter storm sweeping from Texas to the Carolinas. In this episode of Truck Tech, host Thomas Wasson sits down with Dave Rubin, Head of Policy at Proterra, to unpack the complex realities of building commercial EV batteries in the U.S. From strict "Build America, Buy America" (BABA) compliance rules to the strategic use of friendshoring with allies like Japan and South Korea, they explore how federal mandates and tax incentives are reshaping the supply chain. Tune in as they discuss: BABA Explained: What does "Build America, Buy America" actually require for battery manufacturers? Supply Chain Realities: Can the U.S. move from buying "cookies" to making them from scratch, and where do we currently stand on raw material processing? Strategic Friendshoring: How partnerships with allied nations are helping bridge the gap while domestic capacity ramps up. Policy Impacts: The role of the 45X tax credit and trade policies in driving investment toward the U.S. "Battery Belt." Proterra's Latest Moves: An update on Proterra's integration with the Volvo Group and their new H223 high-energy density battery pack. In this episode, we analyze how Maersk's decision to restart Red Sea transits is flooding the global market with capacity and driving down ocean rates. This shift could release significant tonnage back into circulation, effectively erasing the pricing power carriers gained during the disruptions. Domestic markets are showing a strange contradiction, as the Cass Truckload Linehaul Index climbs even while shipment volumes hit cycle lows. This anomaly sits alongside sobering data showing that inflation-adjusted trucking rates have dropped 27% compared to 2020, leaving many carriers financially exhausted. We also dive into the "stagecoach robbing era" of freight fraud, where digital identity theft allows criminals to steal billions without consequence. States are fighting back with measures like Tennessee Bill 1587, which proposes massive fines for employers who knowingly allow unlawful commercial vehicle operations. Finally, the discussion turns to the Supreme Court battle involving Flowers Foods, which could fundamentally change labor liability by exempting last-mile drivers from mandatory arbitration. A ruling against the bakery giant may unleash a flood of class-action litigation regarding worker classification and pay. CannCon and Ghost open the January 20 edition of Badlands Daily by tracking how multiple pressure points are converging across geopolitics, domestic unrest, and institutional authority. The discussion moves through developments tied to Venezuela, sanctions, energy leverage, and shifting international alignments, emphasizing how narrative framing often obscures the mechanics actually driving outcomes. Domestically, the hosts examine rising tensions tied to law enforcement, protests, and political signaling, questioning whether stability is real or merely projected. Throughout the episode, CannCon and Ghost focus on pattern recognition, media misdirection, and why sudden “chaos moments” often follow long periods of quiet maneuvering. The conversation connects foreign policy pressure, economic leverage, and internal division into a broader picture of a system attempting to maintain control while underlying structures strain, reinforcing the need for patience, discernment, and clarity as events continue to unfold.
In this episode of Off Script, we continue our conversation with David Grote, vice president of strategy at GrayMatter Partners, focusing on the execution challenges that will define the success of today's pharmaceutical manufacturing investment boom. David explores the growing tension between speed, quality, and cost as companies race to bring new facilities online, and explains how early collaboration with regulators can help accelerate validation without sacrificing compliance or long-term resilience. He also discusses the strategic decisions that separate proactive manufacturers from reactive ones, the lasting impact this investment cycle will have on U.S. manufacturing footprints, and the expanding set of options that could open new opportunities for smaller companies.

In this explosive episode, Charlie and I react to President Trump's stunning message to Norway's Prime Minister: because Norway “decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 wars,” he no longer feels “an obligation to think purely of Peace” — and now demands “Complete and Total Control of Greenland” from Denmark. From petty whining about the Nobel snub to threatening 10% tariffs (rising to 25%) on eight European allies (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, Netherlands, Finland, UK) unless they hand over Greenland — this is peak Trump chaos. We also discuss:-- Trump's childish, un-American pettiness-- Parallels to appeasement and loss of U.S. moral authority-- Hypotheticals: What if Trump actually invades Greenland?-- Domestic fallout: Minnesota ICE brutality, Insurrection Act threats, and normalizing cruelty-- Why appeasing authoritarians (at home or abroad) never works-- And MUCH more!Is America becoming the “ugly American”? Are we losing our exceptionalism? In this episode of True Crimes Against Wine, the hosts dive into a messy roommate-turned-partner dispute about chores. After three years together, a couple split household duties by a rota: feeding three picky cats, handling bills, cleaning litter, doing the washing up, hoovering, and more. Tension explodes when one partner fails to hoover and forgets to put a new toilet roll on the holder. The other partner comes home furious, calling the lapse a betrayal, which leads to name-calling and talk of moving out. The hosts unpack compatibility, expectations around cleanliness, gendered chore dynamics, and whether the couple's split was inevitable. They tease more stories to come and invite listeners to send in their own juicy disputes.
The narrative is seeded, the pitfalls are many and the dangers are huge. Responsibility is concentrated and blame can be more easily assigned. There are now actors more interested in chaos than restraint. It makes him look like a tyrant. AI is explained, moralized and described to death. Greenland is important for national security. Standard procedure for the MSM is to distort all stories. Domestic terror cells were activated yesterday. Why is the insurection act promoted by both political parties? All media outlets are pushing it too. Unconventional warfare is now raging. RINO's sing a sad tune. The law and the narratives are no longer alligned. Framing is more important that facts. Full authority means a concentrated spotlight. It's all a show. Passport issues are now common for Americans. The purple ones are temporary. How do you lose your passport? People are training overseas to overthrow our government here. FAFO started here. Specific shows sent pointed messages. A look back at some previous immigration related shows. The Jewish side of the welfare fraud. Let's play fair with terrorism accusations. China has military bases in Canada. Now is the time to stop playing the games and concentrate on what is truly important.

Our Head of India Research and Chief India Equity Strategist Ridham Desai addresses a big debate: whether India stocks are poised for a recovery after underperforming other emerging markets in 2025.Read more insights from Morgan Stanley.----- Transcript -----Welcome to Thoughts on the Market. I'm Ridham Desai, Morgan Stanley's Head of India Research and Chief India Equity Strategist. Today: one of the big debates in Asia this year. Can Indian equities recover their strength after a historic slump? It's Wednesday, January 14th, at 2pm in Mumbai.India ended 2025 with its weakest relative performance versus Emerging Markets since 1994. That's right – three decades. The reason? A mid-cycle growth slowdown, rich valuations, and the fact that India doesn't offer an explicit AI-related trade. Add in delays on the U.S. trade deal plus India's low beta in a global bull market, and you've got a recipe for underperformance. But we think the tide is turning. Valuations have corrected meaningfully and likely bottomed out in October. More importantly, India's growth cycle looks poised for a positive surprise. Policymakers have gone all-in on reflation, deploying a mix of aggressive measures to revive momentum. The Reserve Bank of India has cut rates, reduced the cash reserve ratio, infused liquidity and gone in for bank deregulation which are adding fuel to the fire. The government has front-loaded capital expenditure and announced a massive ₹1.5 trillion GST rate cut to encourage people to spend more on goods and services. All these moves – along with improving ties between India and China, Beijing's new anti-involution push, and the possibility of a major India-U.S. trade deal – are laying solid groundwork for recovery. Put simply, India's once-tough, post-pandemic economic stance is easing up. And that could open the door to a major shift in how investors see the market going forward. India's macro backdrop is also evolving. The reduced reliance on oil in GDP, the growing share of exports, especially in services, the ongoing fiscal consolidation – all indicate a smaller saving imbalance. This means structurally lower interest rates ahead. And flexible inflation targeting, and volatility in both inflation and interest rates should continue to decline. High growth with low volatility and falling rates should translate into higher P/E multiples. And don't forget the household balance sheet shift toward equities. Systematic flows into domestic mutual funds are evidence of this trend. Investor concerns are understandable, but let's keep them in context. More companies raising capital often signals growth ahead, not just high valuations. Domestic investment remains strong, thanks to a steady shift toward equities. India's premium valuations reflect solid long-term growth prospects and expectations for lower real interest rates. On the policy front, efforts to boost growth are robust, and we see real growth potentially surprising to the upside. While India isn't a leader in AI yet, the upcoming AI summit in February could help address concerns about India's role in tech innovation. What key catalysts should investors watch? Look for positive earnings revisions, further dovishness from the RBI, reforms from the government including privatization, and the long-awaited U.S. trade deal. But also keep an eye on key risks – slower global growth and shifting geopolitical dynamics. So, after fifteen months of relative pain, could India be on the cusp of a structural re-rating? If growth surprises to the upside – and we think it will – the story of 2026 may just be India's comeback. Stay tuned. Thanks for listening. While homicide totals and most other violent crime figures dropped in Chicago last year, homicides that resulted from domestic violence increased by 15 percent, according to the city's violence reduction dashboard.Advocates say the surge in violent abuse is due to “a tornado of risk factors,” including longstanding issues exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath, such as unstable employment, food insecurity and homelessness. We believe all neighborhoods deserve to be covered in a meaningful way.We amplify positive stories, cover development and local school council meetings and serve as watchdogs in neighborhoods often ostracized by traditional news media.Ground-level coverageOur neighborhood-based reporters don't parachute in once to cover a story. They are in the neighborhoods they cover every day building relationships over time with neighbors. We believe this ground-level approach not only builds community but leads to a more accurate portrayal of a neighborhood.Stories that matter to you — every daySince our launch seven years ago, we've published more than 30,000 stories from the neighborhoods, covered hundreds of community meetings and send daily and neighborhood newsletters to more than 150,000 Chicagoans. We've built this loyalty by proving to folks we are not only covering their neighborhoods, we are a part of them. Some of us have internalized the national media's narrative of a broken Chicago. We aim to change that by celebrating our neighborhoods and chronicling the resilience of the people who fight every day to make Chicago a better place for all.
DOMESTIC MELODRAMA AND THE FOG OF RHETORIC Colleagues Gaius and Germanicus, Friends of History Debating Society, Londinium, 92 AD. Turning to domestic matters, the speakers discuss a controversy in Minnesota involving an ICE-related death, describing the situation as a "melodrama" obscured by a "fog of rhetoric." Germanicus contrasts this "theater" with the genuine violence of 19th-century labor strikes and the Spanish Civil War, warning that while current events are performative, the specialized training of opposing factions is dangerous. They conclude that these domestic battles follow a script of performative chaos similar to foreign policy, risking a slide into real insurrection if the "talk" ever crosses the threshold into actual violence. Harry sits down with Georgetown law professor Steve Vladeck to dissect the seizure of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. From the UN Charter and head-of-state immunity to the infamous 1989 Barr memo, they unpack the administration's legal gymnastics, multiple legal illegalities, and tenuous positions. In particular, they zero in on the interplay between U.S. criminal law and the international law that we appear to have knowingly violated. They then turn to the long-term practical moral consequences of the operation, including the possible severe damage to U.S. credibility and strategic interests going forward.
