Rev. Robert Paine, Assistant Pastor, at FPC of Dexter Zechariah 9:11–12 (KJV 1900) 11 As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water. 12 Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: Even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;
Pastor Jeff Wells shares a message titled "She Shall Be Praised" from Mother's Day 2020. Proverbs 31:30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: But a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. Of all the qualities a good mother has the greatest is that she lives her life in the fear and obedience of the Lord. Many have benefited from he godly influence of a God-fearing mother.
Pastor Jeff Wells shares the second part of a series titled "The Battle Within Yourself - Faith vs Unbelief". One may not consider how our reactions or responses could give the enemy access to our lives. The proper reaction/response can only be accomplished with a life consecrated to God. Our human nature naturally leans towards unbelief but when one lives for God we can access a realm of faith that will propel us to the next dimension.
Pastor Jeff Wells shares a message titled "The Enemy of Praise", Doeg, the Edomite willingly kills 85 innocent priests at the bidding of Saul. His own footmen were not willing to carry out the horrible deed but, Does urgently volunteers. The priest who were assassinated were those as the Bible describes, those who wore the linen ephod. The linen ephod was a priestly garment worn into the Holy Place. The adversary of our souls, who was once a worship leader, understands the power associated with praise and worship and seeks to destroy it at all costs. Each of us has a Doeg lurking in the shadows of our lives waiting for the moment when he can willingly destroy our praise.
We are beginning a series entitled "The Battle Within Yourself". In part one we discuss how each of us is reactionary. In John 11 the Bible records the shortest verse in the Scripture, verse 35, "Jesus wept". When reading this one would usually think that Jesus was sorrowful for the passing of His friend, Lazarus. But when one looks a little closer you will realize Jesus wasn't really sad but rather He was angry. What would cause Jesus to be angry and such a delicate time? The reaction or response of those who claimed to be believers. Jesus was trying to d a miracle here in John 11 but He is hindered. not by the deadness of Lazarus, that's an easy fix but, Jesus is having to deal with something worse than that. UNBELIEF! Unbelief is a reaction or a response. And while you and I may struggle to believe we should never consider our limitations when we serve a God who is unlimited! Pastor Jeff Wells
Pastor Jeff Wells shares a message titled "God's Hedge" from the pulpit of First Pentecostal Church of Dexter. Job 1:10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side?... The hedge is something that provides protection or defense. It goes without saying that each of us find ourselves involved in a spiritual battle. Actually whether you realize it or not, you are still involved in spiritual warfare. The purpose of the enemy is to steal, kill, and to destroy and he will go to whatever measure needed to accomplish that purpose. But thanks be to God that we have a covering of protection over the adversary. God has promised us a hedge of protection. It doesn't necessarily mean each of us will experience a life void of any problems and everything will go smoothly but it does mean each of us will never have to face anything alone. God will be with us. We may not always understand His ways but if one will hold on you will find that He is always faithful!
Pastor Jeff Wells preached this message Sunday, April 19, 2020. God has given us the ability to see and experience beyond our current situation or circumstances. It is certainly a God given ability because if we were to rely on only our own abilities we would never be able to see beyond that which we are having to endure.
Wednesday, April 8, 2020 midweek service with Pastor Jeff Wells. The days can get dark and moments can be overwhelming but we sure are thankful to have refuge in Jesus Christ we can run to. He desires to bear our burdens but we have to be willing let go.
April 5, 2020 morning service at Dexter First Pentecostal Church with Pastor Jeff Wells There is a God who still sits on the throne. He has been in control before the current crisis and He will be in control once all this passes. While many have recognized their need for Him during the last few weeks the reality is we have ALWAYS needed Him. Pastor Jeff Wells
