Brick Lombardi opens the set with Brinson Macht Krieg, a war anthem built around Warren Brinson — calculated violence, target acquired, tackle sequence executed. The machine runs in green and gold, and quarterbacks are the ones who learn to heal. Then the temperature drops. Creeping 2 turns Lambeau into exactly what visiting teams fear: a frozen graveyard where Lombardi's ghost still walks the halls and every outsider eventually falls. Brick doesn't soften it — die by the frozen field, die by the cheesehead shield. The set turns toward what's coming with Destined, a straight declaration that Green Bay's moment has arrived, and closes with The Holy Right — a reminder that the scoreboard is just the receipt, the fight itself is the prize. Brick signs off the way he always does: you were never alone out there. Go Pack Go.

Scripture is unmistakably clear: Jesus will return in glory to judge the nations, separating those who received Him from those who rejected Him (Matthew 25:31–32). Yet false teachers deny or dilute this reality, replacing repentance and holiness with a softened message that cannot save. In today's episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef unpacks Jude's urgent imagery for apostate teachers—portraits designed to help believers recognize danger before spiritual shipwreck occurs: “Hidden reefs” at your love feasts (Jude 1:12): beneath-the-surface threats that damage the church while “feeding only themselves.” “Clouds without rain” (v. 12): loud, trend-driven voices that promise refreshment but deliver only disappointment. “Autumn trees… without fruit and uprooted” (v. 12): spiritually barren leaders who leave others malnourished and are ultimately “twice dead.” “Wild waves” and “wandering stars” (vv. 13): chaotic influences that produce wreckage and provide no true direction—drifting farther from biblical Truth. Jude then lifts our eyes to the certainty apostates try to erase: the Lord is coming with holy ones to judge everyone (Jude 1:14–15). For the unrepentant, that day will bring terror. But for believers who long for His appearing, it will be a day of joy—when we see the signs of His return and “lift up [our] heads” with expectation (Luke 21:28). Prayer: Lord, may I pursue Your Truth revealed in Your Word with confidence and joyfully prepare for the day of Your return. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever” (Jude 1:13). Learn more in Dr. Michael A. Today's readings.. (Joshua 3,4), (Isaiah 9), (1 Thessalonians 5)We follow on from our thoughts yesterday about our “our hearts being established blameless in holiness” with Paul's conclusion to his first letter to the Thessalonians where he stresses very strongly to them that “having put on the breastplate of faith … God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ who died for us …” [ch. 5 v.8-10]The wonder of that salvation which those who truly serve God will experience is illustrated for us in today's chapter in Isaiah (ch. 9) where there are words which have found a prominent place in the famous Oratorio ‘The Messiah.' “For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulder … of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and uphold it with justice and with righteousness …” [v.6,7]We took particular notice of the phrase, “the increase of his government” which implies the spread of his control – and noted Paul's words today – that when “people are saying , ‘There is peace and ‘security' then sudden destruction will come upon them” [v.3] People everywhere will feel a more urgent need than today for peace and security, and when they think they are achieving it, then – disaster! But then, wonderfully, the child who was born, the “Son” of God, returns to rebuild life on earth on divine principles; a complete rebuilding will be necessary. “The increase of his government” indicates this as the general population recovers from the terrible experience of the “sudden destruction.” As we read on in Isaiah we will come across passages such as in ch. 34, of the time coming when “the LORD is enraged against all the nations and furious against all their host (armies); he has devoted them to destruction …”[v.2]May we all live our lives so that we are among those of whom it will be true to say and experience that, “God has not destined us for wrath,” but to obtain salvation.

Ep. 390: James N. Kienitz Wilkins on The Misconceived Welcome to The Last Thing I Saw, with your host, Nicolas Rapold. Destined to be one of my favorite movies of 2026, The Misconceived is the latest feature from James N. Kienitz Wilkins, a filmmaker who's always boldly playing with film form, ideas around authenticity and class, and how we talk about cinema. The Misconceived centers on a carpenter, Tyler, who once wanted to be a filmmaker and whom we now join renovating the country cabin of a college classmate, Tobin, who has found success as an artist. On paper it's an "indie drama" of class tensions and resentments—but it's filmed using motion capture, a computer graphics game engine, and naturalistic, scathingly funny dialogue streaked with savvy movie and critical references. I was delighted to speak with Wilkins about The Misconceived, the benefits of motion capture, the post-2016 political morass, cinephilia, and much more. The Misconceived opens the First Look 2026 at the Museum of the Moving Image (which runs April 23 to May 3) and then plays at Anthology Film Archives in May. Ben and Rob head back into the Frankenstein mythos to tackle The Bride! (2026), the bold, chaotic, and very Maggie Gyllenhaal take on one of horror's most famous monsters. Before diving into the film's wild ideas, the pair rewind to ask the obvious question: what exactly is this movie trying to be? A gothic romance? A feminist monster movie? A gangster road film set in 1930s Chicago? Somehow, it's attempting all of them at once. From there the conversation gets stranger. The boys unpack the film's radical attempt to give the Bride a voice and agency after decades of being little more than a screaming footnote in Frankenstein history. They dig into the film's themes of identity, creation, and control, the strange outlaw-love story between the Bride and the Monster, and why the movie seems determined to throw everything (gangsters, musical numbers, philosophy, and violent rebellion) into the same electrified laboratory.Along the way they debate whether the film's chaotic energy is exactly the point, what the movie is really saying about autonomy and being “made” for someone else, and whether turning Frankenstein's monsters into Bonnie and Clyde style lovers is genius or complete madness. It's resurrection, rage, 1930s crime sprees, and a monster love story that might be more about freedom than romance, as Ben and Rob try to untangle The Bride!... and, as always, beneath the lightning bolts, stitched skin, and laboratory experiments... what does it really mean?CONSUUUME to find out all this and much, much more!PLUS! Pastor Hudson reviews the earlier themes of the series: the peril of the past, seen in Lot's wife looking back; the peril of the present, seen in Israel facing the Red Sea and Pharaoh's army; and the promise of the future, which requires faith to see beyond present obstacles. He stresses that before people can move forward outwardly, they must first move forward inwardly—in heart and mind. Using Luke 9:62, Pastor Hudson explains that Jesus' words about putting one's hand to the plow and not looking back speak to focus, commitment, and Kingdom readiness. To be “fit for the kingdom” means being suitable, ready, and well-positioned for God's service. Looking back, carrying too many distractions, or losing focus makes a person ineffective in their calling. He then connects this to the story of the man at the Pool of Bethesda in John 5. The man had been disabled for 38 years and was trapped in a system of false hope, waiting for healing in the water but never experiencing change. Pastor Hudson says the man's real problem was not just his condition, but the system he was stuck in. Bethesda represents the kinds of systems people rely on that actually keep them stuck—socially, emotionally, spiritually, financially, or relationally. A key insight of the message is this: you are not the stuck thing; the system is stuck. People are not defined by their trauma, environment, or condition. God did not create anyone to live in bondage. Pastor Hudson uses the illustration of boots stuck in mud: the person is not stuck—the boots are. The answer is to step out of them. In the same way, believers must step out of mindsets, habits, environments, and patterns that keep them bound. He emphasizes that the miracle for the man at Bethesda was not in the water, but in leaving the water when Jesus said, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” Becoming unstuck is not always dramatic; often it happens through simple but important steps like changing your environment, setting boundaries, changing your mindset, ending destructive relationships, refusing gossip, or breaking unhealthy cycles. The message closes with the acrostic FORWARD: Faithful, Obedient, Resilient, Wise, Aligned, Redemptive, Destined. These qualities describe the kind of life that moves with God. Pastor Hudson's final encouragement is that believers should remain focused, avoid rigged systems and false hope, and keep moving forward because forward is the only direction God is moving.
