At a young age he was the victim of abuse at the hands of one of the most powerful people in his community. Sent away from home for his "rebellion" Kal spiraled into a dark journey for many years, spiritual exploration and forgiveness before eventually settling in Los Angeles and truly beginning his path to emotional and spiritual recovery.
