Friends With My Favorite Musicians

Cody Landress-Gibson's alt-country sound was inspired by multiple factors, the first of which may have been growing up in Georgia and listening to the Top 40 country music that his parents were playing around the house. He later dove into the likes of folk singer/songwriters Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark. He released an EP called Beginner’s Luck in November of 2018, just a few months before talking to me for the podcast. About a year ago, I heard Rachel Baiman for the first time at the Teragram Ballroom. I was blown away by her and became an instant fan. One year later, I got to chat with her about life & music. Life is cool.

I got to talk to a super cool dude, the songwriter/singer/guitarist for the San Francisco based band Light Fantastic for this episode of Friends With My Favorite Musicians. I had the joy of talking with Sarah and Austin of Chatham Rabbits for the very first episode of FWMFM. They're a folk duo from North Carolina playing "original songs nodding to old-time traditions."
