Our goal is to see every student involved in a discipling relationship with someone who knows God. This means that one of our primary goals is to create environments where relational discipleship can happen between adults who know God and students who are wanting to develop an authentic faith.

We never want to think about these kinds of situations but in today's culture, suicide and self-harm are on the rise. Especially among our youth. In this episode, we hope to answer and give some guidance to ways you can respond if you fear for a friend's mental health and think they may try to hurt themselves.
Every day we are faced with new challenges. For some people, maybe even you, those challenges can make you feel like you don't have much worth. Feeling like you don't have worth can even sometimes lead to thoughts about harming yourself or even taking your own life. If this is you, first, you're not alone. You have a worth and purpose in this life. Second, there are people who want to help you. These lies that we face that convince us that the world would be better off without us can be strong, but there is something even stronger that can overcome those lies. Jesus offers you victory over the lies that hold us hostage to those thoughts. Please give a couple of minutes to listen to Bryan and Scott share some thoughts and be encouraged that there is hope for you.

They share what some of the signs are when struggling with anxiety or depression. Also note, that not every time you feel down or upset that you are experiencing anxiety or depression. It's always best to share what you are feeling or experiencing with someone you trust. There are resources available for you if you feel like you don't have anyone close to you that you can trust.
The number of young people who are struggling with their mental health is on the rise. There are many factors as to why, but we are looking to start a dialogue that we pray will help lead to conversations with people who are able to help.
