When you think of Dub Music, you probably imagine roots, rock, and Reggae. This show highlights how dub has evolved into its own sound. Bombay Dub Orchestra, "Rare Earth", Bombay Dub Orchestra (6 Degrees) Combining ambient electronic sounds with a 28 piece Bollywood orchestra, Bombay Dub Orchestra is the creation of two UK artists: Gary Hughes, whose projects have included Bjork and Sly and Robbie, with string arranger and composer Andrew T. Mackay. Dub Theory, A King’s Dub (Version Royal), single (Jah Love Recordings) A San Francisco based project featuring DJ Ivan-I and Fionn Starchyld. They created their own record label, Jah Love Recordings. Tosca, Fuck Dub pt. 1 & 2 (Baby Mammoth remix) (G-Stone Recordings) Well known in Europe for their involvement with projects involving Peter Kruder, Tosca is composed of Ruper Huber and Richard Dorfmeister. They are fixtures of the Vienna dub scene. Uptight, Get Uptight Man, Get Uptight Man (G-Stone Recordings) Rodney Hunter and Werner Geier collaborate on this project, which is a regular of Vienna’s Dub Club. Stereotyp, Stand Up. Studio artist Stefan Morth infuses a futuristic sound into dub. He’s another artist from the Dub Club Scene.
