Reggae's guest is Michael Milton , who is not only an Australian snowsports legend, but a legend of all Australian sport, elevated to Legend status in the Australian Spporting Hall of Fame in 2024. Australia's most successful snowsports athlete Michael has represented Australia in in alpine racing at five Winter Paralympic games and has won 6 gold, three silver and two bronze medals, retiring after the Turin games in 2026. He still holds the record for the fastest Australina on snow at 213km/hr and also represented Australia in cycling at the summer Paralympic games in Beiijing in 2008. A three-time cancer survivor, Michael recently announced a return to ski racing and will be competing on the upcoming World Cup tour in a bid to qualify for the 2026 Winter Paralympic games in Milan/Cortina in February 2026. A northshore native, Russell Richardson brings his experience from the Baton Rouge Area Chamber and Louisiana Economic Development to the position. He joins us for more on his plans to develop the area without losing its charm and character. This past weekend, the New Orleans Reggae Fest had rain issues that forced its postponement. The organizers' wheels started turning as they began rescheduling amid a potentially disastrous Hurricane headed towards reggae's birthplace. Now, the festival will be more than just a concert; it will be a way to help others. This week's Resistence in Residence artist is Bay-Area hip-hop artist, educator and organizer Ras Ceylon.  He is noted for being the first Sri Lankan hip-hop performer to release an album (debut in 1999) in the west. He has been bringing uplifting messages to the masses for over 20 years, releasing 7 albums to date and appearing on multiple projects with notable Rap and Reggae artists. He shares rare, behind-the-scenes stories from the studio, on the stage and unforgettable moments on the road with Bob Marley & The Wailers.  Lee Jaffe also reveals how his close friendship with Marley and Tosh led to his role producing and taking the cover photo for Peter Tosh's legendary Legalize It album— and the unbelievable marijuana smuggling operation that helped fund the album's creation.
