Hello, I’m Mitch. I read powerful literature out loud beginning to end. Throughout, I pause to react, make commentary, and generally think out loud, seeking deeper knowledge and understanding of topics with which I'm not as familiar as I'd like to be. Season 1 features me reading The Holy Bible for the first time ever as a lifelong atheist with deep Christian sympathies. This is the only podcast where you'll hear a decently smart guy willing to embrace and address his own ignorance. We all just might learn something. ;)
Discussing the book of Leviticus with Jordan Pace!
I welcome Doug Reed, Lead Pastor at Bridge of Hope in Boardman, OH, and co-host of the Joe & Doug Show podcast. We discuss the Book of Exodus and Joe's experiences with his faith.
Having finished the Book of Genesis on my own, I dive into a discussion with a lifelong believer in the Christian faith. CJ Collins was raised by a Paster, was a youth-pastor himself, and is, with his wife, raising two children into the Christian faith. He's a remarkable gentleman and we have a robust and respectful conversation all around.

I’m an atheist. I cannot remember a time when I believed in God or was particularly impressed with religion, throughout my teens and early 20s. In fact, I was an “intransigent atheist”. Just an asshole and I know it. Everyone knows it. As time has passed, I’ve simmered down a good bit on the “intransigent” part. I have realized in recent years that I’m unsatisfied with my knowledge of the Bible. Conversely, I grow more impressed with religion as the years weigh on. I want to dive in and experience this tome firsthand. This book, and its apparent wisdom, affected my life before I was even in the womb, and continue to impact it to this day, whether I like it or not, and whether I’m aware of it or not. It’s worth at least one read to find out what it’s all about.
