Reading 1 Samuel 2:12-26 (NLT) ~ Scripture reading followed by discussion.  The comparison between Eli's sons and Samuel, Eli's warning and poor attempt to his sons, and the update on Hannah and Elkanah. Hannah returning yearly and visiting Samuel. God blessing Hannah and Elkanah with more children. How much God loves us is displayed in giving us Jesus as a savior. Eli's sons believe themselves as the ones who should be served and had no interest in being God's servants.  Serving the LORD was not about duties alone, it's about a heart set on the LORD. Samuel grew up in the presence of the LORD. Jesus intercedes for us.

What Are The Three Snares Jesus Warned About?

There is a fascinating but greatly overlooked passage in the Holy Bible about the Second Coming of Christ. Modern Bible prophecy teachers love to talk about the mysteries in the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, but they run away from expounding on Jesus' plain talk about three deadly snares. His blunt warning is not mysterious. It is easy to understand, but it doesn't motivate prophecy junkies to buy books and courses to know more.  Nevertheless, Jesus strongly advised us to “take heed to yourselves” regarding the three traps that could trip us up on the final day. Indeed, one would assume that the deadly traps must be the top three of the seven deadly sins: pride, greed, and lust. Not so, but it does include Number Five on the Big Seven Sins. We are talking about gluttony.  Curiously, only St. Luke was inspired to record Jesus' warning that we must each conquer these three sins before we die, or He returns on the final day. It should not be surprising that it was St. Luke. Apostle Paul called Luke his “beloved physician.” Luke was Paul's doctor who traveled alongside him. Doctor Luke knew that his patients' poor eating habits caused many illnesses.  More than the other three Gospel writers, St. Luke ministered to the saints' spiritual, emotional, and physical needs. Only Dr. Luke recorded Jesus saying, “Physician, heal thyself” and “They that are whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.” Consequently, because Luke was a doctor, his ears perked up when Jesus mentioned three bad habits that lead to poor physical and mental health.  Rick Wiles, Doc Burkhart. The day when Jesus Christ bursts into our dimension of time, space, and matter. You can order the second edition of Rick's book, Final Day!  https://tru.news/3LknyuL

Norm opens the show discussing the news surrounding the sentencing of long-time girlfriend and counterpart to the late Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, for her role in facilitating the sex trafficking of underage minors.  What the hell is Governor Ned Lamont doing by extending the state's Public Health Emergency? We get the government we deserve, sure. But there has been an absolute failure of will in this state to produce candidates that have a vision for what ordinary people want in their everyday lives.  Norm details the facts surrounding a lawsuit a student has brought against the Hopkins School in New Haven for his expulsion behind his use of the one word for which society has yet to determine the rules of its use.  Leading up to the esteemed guest, Norm spends some time discussing the January 6 Commission Hearings and how short it has fallen in achieiving what America truly needs in this moment of obvious polarization and dysfunction.  Then, Udo Middelmann calls in from Switzerland. Friends of Law and Legitimacy will remember Norm's interview of Udo several months ago. Udo was Norm's tutor in the 1970's when Norm was on an existential search for spiritual meaning and guidance. Norm asked Udo to join him for this radio segment in response to yesterday's caller who lamented the problems of the Holy Bible.  What is the nature of biblical authority? Udo is a scholar in law and theology. You may find his life's work here.  Like, share, and subscribe! Norm is live every weekday from 12pm ET to 2pm ET on WICC 600AM/107.3FM. Reading 1 Samuel 1:1-18 (NLT) ~ Scripture reading followed by discussion. Hardly an instant exists in scripture where a man's simultaneous marriage to two wives did not produce serious friction. The competition of rivalries within a family. Hannah sadness is relatable to all who have struggle to have children. Children are a blessing. Putting too high a value on the blessing and not on the one who blesses. Selfishness of our sin nature makes us want to be loved the most, when we should all be loving God the most. Eli had the authority to speak the life and encouragement Hannah needed. We have a similar authority and responsibility to speak words of life and encouragement to those near us who are crying out to God.

God is the one who invented sex. It was his idea. He's the one who thought of it... and created it! God is the one who conceived the idea that both the man and the woman together would reflect the image of God. He created them male and female. He created the male penis... and the female vagina and clitoris. He created testosterone and estrogen. He created the penis with the ability to get an erection... and the vagina with the ability to lubricate. He invented the sperm... and the egg. And he placed 4,000 nerve endings at the tip of the penis... and 8,000 nerve endings in the clitoris. God's idea was amazing and brilliant! And since God is the one who invented sex... God also has an opinion about sex. The manufacturer of a product is always the one who knows best how that product should and should not be used... because he's the one who conceived of the product... and designed the product. In view of this... God knows best how sex should and should not be used by human beings... and God has revealed his heart... mind... and will concerning sex to us in the instruction book he's given us... the Holy Bible! In this series Tony shares 4 important principles that help us to understand God's opinion about sex.

Trust….” “I am leaving you with a gift – peace of mind and heart.” A gift which cannot come from the world. Jesus is physically leaving them. But, he is not leaving them – or us – alone. In his place, he is asking the Father to send the Holy Spirit to guide, comfort, and inform them. Your love for me is demonstrated by the way you keep my commandments. My Father and I are one. I am in him, and he is in me Your job is to believe and obey. Believe in the Father and in Jesus; we are one. Obey the commands to show your love for us. Reading Ruth 4:1-22 (NLT) ~ Scripture reading followed by discussion. Boaz gets right to work and finds the family redeemer who was first in line to redeem the land and marry Ruth. The first in line wont marry her to preserve his own name and estate, yet he goes un-named. Ruth and Naomi, both being widows held little value in society, yet Ruth is praised as being more valuable than seven sons. Tamar and Judah, Tamar was a foreigner like Ruth. God's plan has always been for all nations to be grafted into the family of God.

Cyril became Archbishop of Alexandria in AD 412. A true defender of the faith and orthodoxy, Cyril produced a number of writings dealing with various theological matters. Cyril's Christology had a significant impact on later theologians. Additionally, Cyril defended the truth that it is proper to call Mary the “Mother of God” or Theotokos, ‘the God-bearer'.ReaderCorey J. Reading Psalms 66:1-20 (NLT) ~ Scripture reading followed by discussion. David calls on all people to shout God's praises, not just praise the LORD but also point others to God. The call to declare and share. Speak to God directly and tell the whole world. God keeps our feet from stumbling and purifies us like silver. Purifying sliver takes extreme heat. Purification process in our lives, God allows us to experience the consequences of our judgments so that we might surrender our judgments and embrace God's Word of truth. The unfailing love of God is for all people, He sends rain on the righteous and unrighteous alike. God loves it when his children recognize their need for Him. Praising God as we cry out for help.

Prophet to the southern kingdom of Judah, Jeremiah predicted, witnessed, and lived through the Babylonian siege and destruction of Jerusalem. Black and White: Radical Grace, Raw Truth and Real Hope in a Gray World

Whenever my kids wanted to help someone do what was right when they were little, they would demonstrate authority and say, “my momma said so”. It worked for a little while until the other person did not consider me an authority. But we who are in Christ are to live holy lives because of the authority of our good and great God. Bible Reading: Lev. 9-12 Verse of the day: Leviticus 11:45, "I am the LORD, who brought you up out of Egypt to be your God; therefore be holy, because I am holy." Word of the day: Holy. It is the Hebrew word:  קָדוֹשׁ (kaw-doshe').

Boaz, sees ruth, hears her, provides for her, protects her, and givers her a place at the table. God shows up to meet her needs as she humbly tries to help. You can see God at work in Ruth's story, it was “a God thing” that Ruth ended up in Boaz's field. God using Boaz to provide for Ruth. Ruth finding her place. Ruth laid down everything and let go of her life. If can seem so challenging but, is so freeing.
