What do we have to gain when we are living our authentic self? Simply this - a sense of freedom that affects all areas of our lives, work, relationships, body, mind and soul. Inner peace - so we can love what is.

To know thyself is actualizing our true self and becoming what we where born to be. Is this what will serve us in our daily lives? Ready to weather all storms, even-tempered and being calm?

Emerson tells us: “To get our bloated nothingness out of the way.” Not meaning we are worth less, yet rather intelligently recognizing that the sum total of the whole is greater than any one of its parts.

We live in integrity when we are living from the centre of our being. The point within, what we will come to know as our authentic self.

We step forward without fear and clearly identify our beliefs, look at them from all angles and question them boldly and bravely, only to find that there is nowhere any danger and if they are still worth keeping.

If we take a chance to dive into the deepest corners of our consciousness, we would find that many of our old beliefs we hold about ourselves are simply not true and may have never been true. When we begin to respect that, we begin to feel reverence for life itself.

The Truth is, we contain all potentials for any action, thought, or energy, emotion or feeling. We might not express all potentials in any specific manner, we know that they are within us. They are aspects of spirit (Beauty, Love, Light, Life, Power, Peace, Wisdom).

What is Freedom? Perhaps it is the feeling we get when we really know that we are true to ourselves. From the day of our birth, we were given input from others that taught us how to define ourselves. This information that we gathered, whether it is correct or not, settled and rooted itself deeply in our personal belief system, without our awareness that it was happening. We trusted and believed, we co-operated for rewards, or dealt with consequences.
