Cheers is one of the best half-hour comedies on television. It ran on NBC from 1982 to 1993. There were 275 episodes. We're going to watch them all, and talk about why it means so much to us so many years later.
It's the return of Let's Talk About Cheers, and it only took a global pandemic. We went live on YouTube to catch up on about 18 episodes of Season 2 of Cheers. If you want to watch along with us you can find Cheers streaming on Netflix and a couple other places. Some episodes hold up beautifully, some...not so much. We'll get back to a regular schedule this week! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/letstalkaboutcheers/message
We're back live! But not live! But publishing in the same year that we recorded! That's progress! This week we watched: Sumner's Return, Affairs of the Heart, Old Flame and had a chat about #metoo now and then. SHOW NOTES: You can watch along with us on Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu or CBS All Access if you’re subscribed. iTunes also has all eleven seasons, but honestly, that’s gonna get a little pricey. And I’ll bet when NBC launches their Peacock streaming network it will be there too! As you’ll notice, we have a parody song as our new theme song. But did you know you can hear, stream, or buy the original theme song of Cheers? --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/letstalkaboutcheers/message
