What works best to restore the relationship and trust?  Acting out in an affair is often a sign of problems with the person's life or relationship. A push/pull dynamic can fuel the infidelity… While sexual betrayal strikes at the very heart of commitment, marriages and partnerships can often emerge stronger after an affair. One morning she was up before anyone else. Hair done. Makeup on. In the kitchen making breakfast. Nobody expected that — because the day before, she'd been in bed, barely moving, just trying to get through. One session changed everything. That's the kind of story I keep getting. And as long as they keep coming in, I'm going to keep sharing them. In this episode, I sit down with Nurse Leila — 30 years in the medical field, over 1,000 stem cell therapies administered — to talk about what happens when the body remembers how to thrive. A chef who got his life back in 8 months. A man with a limp who called his wife a week later to say he'd been walking all day. My own son came to me as a skeptic and said, "Dad, I felt it immediately. I knew something had happened." Your body already has the blueprint for restoration. It just needs the raw material to activate it. In this episode: * What Nurse Leila saw in 30 years of conventional medicine that made her never look back * A chef who got his mobility, his energy, and his life back — in 8 months * Jason's testimony: walking all day, no limp, claiming "by His stripes I've already been healed" * Why stem cells find what your body needs — even when it surprises the doctors * You don't have to wait for a crisis. Why do good men cheat—even when they love God, love their wives, and say their marriage matters? In this episode, Lisa Limehouse explains the hidden roots of infidelity, pornography, and sexual addiction without excusing the choices that cause betrayal. Using Scripture, neuroscience, and current research, Lisa explores how emotional avoidance, entitlement, secrecy, compartmentalization, and unguarded opportunities can gradually lead a man away from integrity. You'll also learn five practical ways a man can safeguard his heart, interrupt destructive sexual patterns, establish real accountability, and protect his marriage before temptation becomes betrayal. In this episode, you'll discover: Why a good reputation is not the same as strong character How pornography and sexual behavior can become emotional escape Why dopamine strengthens cue-and-reward patterns without removing personal responsibility How entitlement turns pain into permission Why secrecy creates a dangerous divided life Five biblical and practical safeguards against affairs and sexual addiction Understanding the root is not the same as excusing the behavior. Healing begins when a man brings what is hidden into the light, takes full ownership, and chooses truth over image—one decision at a time.       Why does shame keep you trapped in pornography, affairs, or other sexually destructive behaviors—even when you genuinely want to change? Shame does not simply make you feel bad about what you have done. It can activate the brain's stress response, increase the urge to escape, and drive you back toward the very behavior you promised yourself, your spouse, and God you would stop. This creates a painful cycle: shame produces emotional distress, sexual behavior offers temporary relief, and the secrecy and damage that follow create even more shame. In this episode of Marriage Redesigned with Lisa Limehouse, formerly the Beauty Beyond Betrayal podcast, Lisa explains: The critical difference between healthy guilt and destructive shame How the shame–cortisol–escape cycle reinforces compulsive sexual behavior Why pornography and affairs can become forms of emotional escape How secrecy protects addiction and prevents genuine healing The difference between biblical conviction and condemnation Three practical, Christ-centered steps you can take toward freedom today Freedom from shame does not mean avoiding responsibility. It means learning to face the truth, accept accountability, and step into the light without believing that your worst decisions have become your permanent identity. Scriptures Referenced 2 Corinthians 7:10 James 5:16 1 John 1:9 Romans 8:1 2 Corinthians 5:17 1 Corinthians 10:13 Psalm 32 If betrayal has left you and your spouse feeling overwhelmed, confused, or emotionally unstable, download Lisa's new free couple's resource, We Are Not Crazy. How can a man love his wife, care for his family, attend church—and still maintain an affair, watch pornography, or live a secret sexual life? In this episode, Lisa explains why some men compartmentalize infidelity and sexual sin, how the brain separates conflicting identities, and why understanding this behavior does not excuse betrayal. You'll discover how shame, emotional avoidance, cognitive dissonance, moral disengagement, and the brain's reward system can help sustain a double life. Lisa also shares five biblical and practical ways the unfaithful spouse can stop compartmentalizing, embrace genuine repentance, rebuild integrity, and begin creating safety after betrayal. Send us Fan MailBetrayal has a way of turning ordinary moments into emotional whiplash. One minute you're calm, the next you're checking phones, snapping at people you love, shutting down mid-conversation, or saying sorry when you didn't do anything wrong. If you've ever thought, “I've become someone I don't recognize,” we're putting language and structure to that experience so it finally makes sense. We walk through Terry Real's relationship grid, a powerful tool I'm learning in coach training that maps two forces many of us struggle with after infidelity, divorce, and chronic relationship pain: shame vs grandiosity, and boundaryless vs walled off. From there, we unpack the four quadrants with real-life examples, including how a betrayed spouse can slide into controlling behaviors, lone wolf isolation, relentless people pleasing, or going completely invisible. The point isn't to label you or diagnose you. The point is to build awareness, because awareness creates choice and choice creates healing. We also talk about the healthy center of the grid, what Terry Real calls the functional adult: the grounded place where you can stay connected and still hold boundaries, hear hard feedback without collapsing, own your mistakes without self-attack, and ask for support without guilt. I share a simple boat-in-the-ocean analogy to show how different survival strategies can look opposite on the surface while coming from the same fear underneath.  Take the Relationship Grid Quiz: https://grid.terryreal.com/If you're ready to stop reacting on autopilot and start rebuilding your identity and confidence, take the free quiz at lifecoachgen.com (Jen with one N), then listen and tell me: where do you spend most of today? Here is a recording of impromptu live stream I recently did. No script, no agenda, just me and the chat. And as usual, the unscheduled ones end up being the best ones. This stream turned into a full clinic on the stuff I hear from men every single day: the guy who told his wife he desired her and got nothing back. The guy 10 years into a sexless marriage who swears he "shouldn't have to" bring it up. The guy engaged to a woman who already tells him "you sexualize everything." And the one that floors the average dude — 20 years, never married, sexless, and every time he tries to leave, her tears pull him right back in.We got into why nobody has the uncomfortable conversations early (when they'd actually save you), why "she trapped me with sex" is almost never what happened, what a decade of staying teaches your partner, breadcrumbing and why that little cookie every six months keeps you quiet, and the boss-who-can-never-fire-you problem that lives inside every one of these marriages.

The ones that questioned everything I teach.A woman still carrying a crush from 30 years ago, wondering why it still hurts.A commenter convinced that saving a marriage means forcing two miserable people to stay together.Someone who swears you could never ask your spouse what makes them feel loved and actually get an answer.A person certain that once a cheater, always a cheater. And one comment about AI that I could not let go of.Here's what I keep coming back to. The future doesn't have to look like the past. But only if you're willing to fix what was actually broken. You can walk away and start over, but if you never deal with what pushed the other person away, you carry it straight into the next relationship. That's the push and the pull. The things you do that make your spouse feel seen. And the things you do that quietly make them feel like you don't love them. Most of us are moving too fast to even notice the difference. Then there's AI. I'm not scared of the technology. I'm scared of what happens when people turn to their phone at 2am instead of to God, to a friend, to the hard and vulnerable conversation with the person sitting right in front of them. Shifting the focus to Emily Charlton and an all-new ensemble initially feels like a welcome break from the repetitive formula of the earlier novels. But does the fresh premise lead to a better story? Arnie examines the novel's suburban satire, gender politics, and increasingly questionable ideas about marriage, motherhood, and what makes a woman successful.
