How can you make your marriage better and stronger? Research shows that 33% of married couples want to seek help for their relationship. However, Gottman's research shows that couples wait an average of six years after problems begin to occur in their marriage before they get help. One of the biggest reasons people want out of a relationship is that they feel disrespected. The way you communicate with your spouse, the tone, the facial expressions, and the volume demonstrates the respect you have. Dr. Beam says if you're going to work on anything, work on communication in a way that the other person will most likely hear; that you do communicate respectfully, that you do love them, that you don't like them, and then it'll go a whole lot better if you can do that. Our favorite quotes from this episode:”Restoration can't grow in the soil of deception.”“I needed a safe place in the church to talk about my sexuality.”“You can't get right with each other until you both get right with God.”Today Josh and Jaelyn share their incredible story of restoration. Josh describes what it was like to struggle with his sexuality at a young age while having know where safe to process his feelings and questions. He married Jaelyn while still struggling with same-sex attraction and pornography, which later led to emotional affairs. Jaelyn shares how she also carried sexual brokenness and previous trauma into the relationship, which enhanced the pain they needed to work through. When we asked what started their journey to restoration, they shared how Christ was at the center of it all, leading them to their own freedoms and reconnecting them through the pain and uphill journey. Check them out below! They are now using their powerful testimony to help other young couples find healing and restoration through their own ministry: Restoredliving.More Resources:https://www.instagram.com/restoredliving/reels/https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/restored-living-podcast/id1592097602 Our Resources:https://www.instagram.com/restored2more/https://restored2more.com/

Soon after taking power, the Taliban replaced the Department for Women's Affairs with the Ministry for Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice. It's a name many Afghans feared during the last Taliban era, as 'morality police' enforced their extreme interpretation of Islam. BBC Afghan's Shekiba Habib lived through that era, and reports on what we know about how the current ministry is operating. Istanbul's taxi problem If you've ever struggled to hail a taxi, spare a thought for people in Istanbul. Since the 1990s the city's population has doubled, but the number of cabs has stayed the same, and solving the problem is a political headache for the city's mayor. BBC Turkish journalist Esra Yalcinalp explains Istanbul's unique and frustrating taxi system. The images show the daily lives of coca growers in one of Colombia's main coca-growing regions, and have reopened the discussion about how best to fight the drug war, as Luis Fajardo from BBC Monitoring in Miami explains. The pirs of Pakistan Pirs or spiritual guides are deeply embedded in Pakistani culture, including in politics. They offer blessings and guidance which many politicians feel are important for their success. The crypto world has only just begun digesting the finalized crypto reporting requirements from the Financial Action Task Force, or FATF. The years-long process began in the summer of 2019 when the FATF made public its initial version that called for what it dubbed virtual asset service providers, or VASPs, to undertake an unprecedented degree of information-sharing about their customers and the transactions they conduct. Since then, the guidance has gone through numerous iterations and accounted for emerging use cases like decentralized finance (DeFi) and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), to name a few. At the heart of this framework is the so-called travel rule, requiring businesses that facilitate the movement to collect and share information about the parties to a transaction. How VASPs – like exchanges – will comply with this as FATF-supporting countries go live with the requirements is an active and evolving question. In this special episode of The Scoop, The Block reporter Aislinn Keely breaks down the implications of the FATF framework and how it might shape the evolving regulatory landscape in the United States. To unpack the questions at hand, Keely spoke with former FATF executive secretary and current ACAMS director Rick McDonell, Shyft co-founder Joseph Weinberg and Elliptic director of policy and affairs David Carlisle. This special episode takes a closer look at: What is FATF and why it matters The implications for less-easily-categorized decentralized finance (DeFi) entities The travel rule solutions being developed today How the FATF framework will impact enforcement efforts in the US Episode 74 of Season 3 of The Scoop was recorded remotely with The Block's reporter Aislinn Keely and Rick McDonell, Director of ACAMS & Former Executive Secretary of the FATF, Joseph Weinberg Co-Founder of Shyft, and David Carlisle, Director of Policy and Affairs at Elliptic. It's a fact. Not every marriage is going to make it. However, we wish every marriage would because we are very pro-marriage. In this episode, Dr. Joe Beam and Kimberly Beam Holmes provide points about when it may be the right time to divorce and when it's not the right time. Divorce isn't a decision to take lightly. On the contrary, it's a weighty decision that you don't want to make when other people are persuading you, who are saying things to you like:"You'd be better off alone."" Why don't you just go on and divorce." "It sounds like this can't ever work." "I think you just need to go ahead and file the papers."Those are people who are probably very well-meaning but should not and do not get to make that decision for you. It is your life. It is your decision, and you should be the one who makes it because you are the one who has to deal with the outcome. It is your decision. This episode will give you great insight and get you to think about some things before making a decision too rashly that you may end up regretting later.Information about our 3-day intensive workshopshttps://marriagehelper.com/workshops/Get our FREE Mini-Course "How To Get Your Spouse Back"https://your.marriagehelper.com/how-to-get-your-spouse-back-mini-courseSchedule a FREE Call with one of our Team Members:https://your.marriagehelper.com/meetings/marriagehelper/connectLearn more about our Save My Marriage Course:https://marriagehelper.com/product/save-my-marriage/
