The Rochester Public Libraries are a gateway to knowledge and play a fundamental role in our society. Sarah Lehman, Branch Supervisor of Lincoln Branch Library joined us to talk about the wonderful resources and services offered at the Lincoln Branch. They provide resources that support learning, literacy, and education.

Joshua sits down with Jennifer Eaton, Program Director, to talk about new upcoming programming that will be launching in the new fiscal year. This programming will include topics of health literacy, financial literacy, and computer skills for English language learners to name a few. This programming is made possible through the support of The Dollar General Literacy Foundation, Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, and the ProLiteracy National Book Fund.

Lisa Roe, the Digital Literacy Coordinator sat down and spoke with one of our Literacy Zone partners, Refugees Helping Refugees, also know as RHR. Natalie Huynh, the Communications & Program Specialist talks about the work they do to help the refugee population and the different programs available to their clients.

Today we sit down with Kathy Houghton, Executive Director of Literacy New York and discuss what Literacy NY does for literacy volunteer organizations. We also talk about adult literacy and education past and present and the impact that it has on people and their communities.
