Dan and Frank kick off Season 7 with Allen “Action” Jackson and sound wizard Rich Vassallo—same goofballs, brand-new season. This week:Yankees check-in: Chance to gain on Toronto… promptly down 4–0. Judge still productive but nagged, deadline arms underwhelming, Boone watch simmers.Mets meter: Bats flicker, starters fade by the 5th, bullpen roulette. Soto scorching, Vientos rising, faith level… medium.Phillies pulse: After the Mets sweep wobble, Philly steadies with series wins; magic number: 14.NL picture: Dodgers healthier but Kershaw looks like a farewell tour; Verlander/Scherzer flashes; Milwaukee quietly scary (even after Philly's series win in Brew City).CFB openers: Ohio State–Texas underwhelms on offense, defenses pop; Arch shows jitters but perspective; Penn State cruises; Liberty wins despite fan gripes; quick looks at Iowa–Iowa State, Ole Miss–Kentucky, Oregon–Oklahoma State, and Michigan at Oklahoma.Mailbag (JT in Nashville): Dez says Jerry's loading up for Arch Manning—Dan says there's no real merit. Cowboys QB future talk ensues.Special Thanks to:Fox Brothers Alarms - https://foxbrothersalarms.comFirst Baptist church of Phillipsburg NJ http://www.fbcpburg.org/
What does it mean when Jesus tells his disciples that they are his friends? Does that extend to us? How are we called to be friends to others? We kick off the Vocation of Friendship study with an exploration of friend networks and the ways that each of us differ in our friendships. This message comes from Pastor Sarah. The Gospel is from John, Chapter 5 verses 9-17.
Renaldo sits down in Philadelphia with Twin Brother Ricardo Mckenzie and Media Consultant Paul Booth for a rapid-fire Pulse: Trump's rhetoric and “unity,” the constitutionality of sending National Guard into cities, whether militarized policing reduces crime, the real drivers of violence (poverty and inequality), and the right's gerrymandering blitz. Then a quick pivot to sports: the Eagles' outlook, the Chiefs loss, and why Jalen Hurts doesn't need anyone's validation. Straight talk, no varnish—politics, culture, and football from Philly.Opening in Philly — Ricardo joins Renaldo in-studio; why the moment feels tense but clarifying.Trump & “unity” — Missed chances to cool rhetoric; what a president owes the whole country.National Guard in cities — Legal/constitutional questions; why militarization isn't a long-term public-safety strategy.Root causes of crime — Relative deprivation, poverty, and inequality vs. short-run deterrence; the budget tradeoff between troops/police and opportunity programs.Gun violence — Responsibility of ownership and the policy gap between mass shootings and everyday violence.Gerrymandering — Texas and beyond; why “process vs. power grab” defines the map fight, and how Democrats should respond.Sports pivot — Eagles confidence, Saquon's move, Chiefs' stumble, and Hurts' business-first mentality.Calls to action — Support, subscribe, and follow links (as you read on air).Long show notes / summaryOpening in Philly — Ricardo joins Renaldo in-studio; why the moment feels tense but clarifying.Trump & “unity” — Missed chances to cool rhetoric; what a president owes the whole country.National Guard in cities — Legal/constitutional questions; why militarization isn't a long-term public-safety strategy.Root causes of crime — Relative deprivation, poverty, and inequality vs. short-run deterrence; the budget tradeoff between troops/police and opportunity programs.Gun violence — Responsibility of ownership and the policy gap between mass shootings and everyday violence.Gerrymandering — Texas and beyond; why “process vs. power grab” defines the map fight, and how Democrats should respond.Sports pivot — Eagles confidence, Saquon's move, Chiefs' stumble, and Hurts' business-first mentality.Calls to action — Support, subscribe, and follow links (as you read on air).SEO keywords / tagsPhiladelphia politics; militarized policing; National Guard in cities; crime & poverty; gun violence; gerrymandering; 2025 agenda; Jalen Hurts; Eagles vs Chiefs; The NeoLiberal Round; The PulseThis episode contains frank discussion of violence, race, and politics.Content advisoryThis episode contains frank discussion of violence, race, and politics.Renaldo McKenzie is the Creator and Host of The Neoliberal Round Podcast and President of The Neoliberal (The Neoliberal Corporation). In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham, Connor Morrissette (aka "Triple Double") and intern India Otto are back to talk about USC's resounding victory over Georgia Southern Saturday in the Coliseum and the upcoming road matchup with Purdue. The 2-0 Trojans have outscored their opponents by a combined 99 points, but the schedule gets harder with Big Ten play kicking off and the first game away from the friendly confines of the Coliseum on deck. The crew doesn't spend much time on the Clay Helton Bowl, but they give some quick thoughts on how the Trojan passing offense shined and the USC defense faced some challenges against the Eagles. With the team winning by 39 points and coming out of the contest healthy, head coach Lincoln Riley couldn't ask for a much better start to the season heading into the conference slate. The "preseason" is now in the rearview mirror and USC will try to win its first game outside of the Pacific time zone since winning at Colorado in 2023. After winning just one game last season, Purdue is off to a 2-0 start and the Trojans will have to play well to secure its first real Big Ten road victory. Hi friends, welcome back to Really Famous. It's been a minute, I know. Thank you for sticking with me when my release schedule got, shall we say, a bit looser than usual. Well, I'm here with good news. I'm back with more content than ever. While you've been waiting patiently for new episodes to appear in Apple Podcasts or Spotify or whatever your preferred podcast app is (thank you!), I've been busy behind the scenes. First, I partnered with YouTube. They connected me with an in-house YouTube pro, put me through a few boot camps and welcomed me into their YouTube creator community. I also recruited top talent working with very successful podcasters to help me give you even more rich conversations with fascinating people than I did before. You'll get new podcasts every week. Plus extra bonus videos on YouTube. On Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, you'll see new footage and clips and insights on the regular. It's the same podcast. Same vibe. Same me. But it'll feel like we're hanging out more. Welcome back. The first new episode is next week. I'm back at Cesar Millan's Dog Psychology Center in California for an updated talk with the Dog Whisperer himself. Well, kind of the Dog Whisperer. The name is part of a legal battle that we'll get an update on. Cesar also opens up about why he went to Will Smith for help. Yep. Will Smith. Cesar talks about who he's dating now. The struggles he's been dealing with lately. And why he'd never repeat the relationship his parents have. Oh and I ask him about rumors swirling around him – because word on the street is that Cesar Millan is in prison. Or worse. This month you'll also get a talk with Eric Roberts, one of the most prolific actors out there. Of COURSE I ask him about Julia Roberts. And of course he opens up. We also talk about a personal problem that's taken him years of therapy to figure out. Later this month, you'll hear from someone totally different from anyone who's been on the show. She has a big story to tell. And it involves someone you know. Today I'm releasing this talk Anthony LaPaglia and I had a couple of years ago. It seemed to get lost in the shuffle and it's too good to go under the radar. So I'm putting it out there for you as a “welcome back” sort of thing. I'm into it. I think you will be too. It's also on YouTube, by the way. Which, as it turns out, is now the #1 place where people get their podcasts. Did you know that?!? Surprising, right? AND a ton of people watch podcasts on YouTube podcasts on their TVs. They may be doing something in the background, like cooking or cleaning or catching up on emails, I'm not entirely sure. But it's pretty cool. So if you want to give that a try, head to YouTube.com/ReallyFamous. You'll see a bunch of playlists on my channel, including one that says PODCAST. Click play and boom, you're in. And you'll see many more videos with my celebs as well. It's a smorgasboard. Take anything you like! And enjoy! Here's Anthony LaPaglia. Talk to you next week on the podcast. And even sooner on YouTube and my socials if you visit me there. Cheers! And go watch Betsy's Wedding, please.
