Michael Reinking, Senior Market Strategist at the NYSE, recaps a volatile week as China's new export controls and President Trump's tariff threats triggered the biggest U.S. selloff since April. Markets and crypto plunged before rebounding on softer rhetoric from Washington and strong bank earnings kicking off the season. Fed Chair Powell's signal of further rate cuts fueled a rally in cyclicals and financials. Regional banks later slid on fresh credit concerns. Reinking highlights China's upcoming economic data, earnings acceleration, and ongoing shutdown talks as next week's key drivers.

About 3 hours until Steelers-Bengals in Cincy. Poni said he is breaking one of his biggest rules as he makes note that every single person on NFL Live picked the Steelers. What are the Bengals good at? Not much – and their best defensive player is now out as Trey Hendrickson will miss the game. Even with everyone picking the Steelers, Poni can't bring himself to pick against them in this game. Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo from the PG joined the show. Ray wouldn't be surprised if Jalen Ramsey has a limitation in his snap count due to the short week. Ray noted the 17 sacks in the last 3 games and how important the pass rush will be against Joe Flacco. Ray said the Steelers corners provide some matchups with Bengals WRs that are ‘good for football.' Ray likes the defensive wrinkles the Steelers have thrown in the last few weeks and explained why it brings him back to the Blitzburgh days. Ray doesn't see any reason why the Steelers should go away from the jumbo package with Darnell Washington and Spencer Anderson. He wondered if we will see any more creativity from that set. Is there any chance this game ends up in a shootout? Ray feels like the division is not lost tonight if the Steelers don't win the game Total Request Thursday.

Off The Bench is back weekdays from 10a to 11a followed by The Stone Shields Show from 11a to noon! On October 16, 2025, Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati will host a pivotal AFC North showdown as the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-1) invade the reeling Cincinnati Bengals (2-4) for Thursday Night Football. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET, exclusively on Prime Video. With the Steelers riding a three-game win streak and eyeing sole possession of the division lead, this matchup pits a surging defense against a Bengals squad desperate to halt a brutal four-game skid. The narrative couldn't be more dramatic: a battle of grizzled quarterbacks. Pittsburgh's Aaron Rodgers, 41 and thriving in his one-year Black-and-Gold stint, has injected precision into an offense that's clicked since his offseason arrival. The Steelers' attack averages 22.7 points over its last three games, bolstered by a line allowing just nine sacks. Rodgers faces a Bengals defense ranked near the bottom in QB pressure and sacks, ripe for exploitation. Meanwhile, Cincinnati turns to 40-year-old Joe Flacco, freshly traded from Cleveland, after Joe Burrow's season-ending Grade 3 turf toe surgery. Flacco's debut flop—a 27-18 loss to Green Bay—exposed vulnerabilities, but with Ja'Marr Chase) and Tee Higgins, the passing game could spark. Pittsburgh's defense, a steel wall allowing 14.7 points per game lately, looms large. T.J. Watt (3.5 sacks) and Nick Herbig (4.5 sacks) terrorize from the edge, while Patrick Queen leads with 44 tackles. The Bengals' patchwork offensive line, plagued by injuries to guards Dylan Fairchild (knee) and Lucas Patrick (calf), will struggle to protect Flacco. Cincinnati's run game, led by Chase Brown, must grind to stay afloat. Historically, the Steelers dominate, leading 71-40 all-time and 3-2 in the last five, outscoring Cincinnati by 26 points in those tilts. They've covered in five of six recent meetings, fueling their -5.5 spread favoritism (O/U 42.5). Yet, the Bengals boast a 4-1 home record against AFC foes, hinting at upset potential. This rivalry, born in the 1970s merger madness, always delivers grit. Expect a low-scoring affair—Pittsburgh's five straight unders vs. Cincy scream caution. The Steelers' sharpness should prevail, but Flacco's veteran guile might force a nail-biter. In the end, Pittsburgh pulls away 24-17, extending Cincy's woes while solidifying divisional supremacy. https://staciebaird.com/the-hx-podcastIn this episode, I'm kicking off a new series that's very near and dear to my heart: talent. I was struck by a McKinsey study called "The War for Talent," published back in 1998, which happened to be the first year I was in recruiting. Reading it again, I was shocked to realize that the core challenges it identified; a shortage of leadership talent, a lack of manager accountability for developing people, and the need for a compelling employee value proposition - are issues we are still grappling with today, perhaps more acutely than ever. It really made me ask, why are we still hiring like it's 1998? This realization is why I'm launching this series. We're going to dig into what it truly means to attract, develop, and retain people in 2025 and beyond. We'll question everything, from legacy practices like requiring a bachelor's degree for every job posting to how we can elevate the human experience for candidates in an era dominated by applicant tracking systems. We'll explore how to build a real talent pipeline, how to measure potential, and how to create a workplace where great people actually want to join and stay. I want to be clear that I don't have all the answers; I'm here to learn right alongside you. This is a conversation I want us to have together. I'm excited to talk about what has evolved over the last 25 years, what has stubbornly stayed the same, and what we need to do now to finally move forward. If you're passionate about this topic, I want to hear from you as we explore how to finally win this long-running war for talent. Stacie More episodes at StacieBaird.com.

The relentless pace of modern life can leave even the most dedicated Christian men adrift without direction. Many of us find ourselves in perpetual motion without meaningful direction, reacting to endless notifications, meetings, and obligations rather than purposefully pursuing God's vision. This spiritual drift isn't usually from rebellion but from being constantly reactive. We examine how this directionless living creates serious consequences for our families, workplaces, and communities when Christian men fail to provide clear leadership.Ever think, “I'm just a guy… what real difference can I make?” You're not alone.
