As a competitive athlete, and later a Division I tennis coach, Kathryn found that her on-court results improved as she learned how to quiet her critical mind and stay grounded in her body.

She is among the best coaches in women’s lacrosse history.Levy ranks third in NCAA Division I history in career wins, is a two-time national champion and a two-time National Coach of the Year. She was named the head coach of the United States National Team in November of 2017. She has led the Tar Heels to 10 appearances in the NCAA Tournament semifinals, including seven in the last 10 years. Her 32 NCAA Tournament wins rank fifth in NCAA history.Levy became the fourth coach in women’s lacrosse history to win an NCAA championship as a player (with Virginia in 1991) and as a head coach. She is the eighth coach to win multiple NCAA titles. The only head coach in UNC women’s lacrosse history and among the collegiate game’s most noted figures, Levy built the Tar Heel program from scratch.
