March 01, 2020 A Samaritan woman, herself thirsty, is met by Jesus as he goes through Samaria on his way to Galilee from Judea. Jesus offers her living water that not only will satisfy her spiritual thirst, but, as Jesus says, “. . . will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” We too can know and experience daily this deeply satisfying eternal life in Jesus
March 01, 2020 God calls us, empowers us, and guides us, so that we may build his Church.
"The golden verse of the Holy Bible, found in John 3:16, ""For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."" Jesus, the Son of God came into the world that he would save the world."
Nicodemus, an honest seeker from a religious background, comes to Jesus with his limited understanding. Jesus makes it clear to him and to us that unless a person is born again by the Spirit of God, he cannot see correctly or clearly the kingdom of God. Jesus invites us to seek, accept and walk in this gift of his grace in our lives.

In this passage, Jesus invites Andrew, his brother Peter, as well as Philip and Nathanael to come, see and follow him. As they begin to do so, Jesus opens their understanding to see aspects of his endless glory, full of grace and truth, that the Holy Spirit can open our understanding to see of Jesus as well.
In the Gospel of John, the apostle John, one of the twelve original followers of Jesus, invites readers to move beyond belief in Jesus into knowing him (John 17:3) and into life in him (John 20:31). We looked at the John’s introduction to his gospel witness (often called, “a prologue”) guided by two spiritual disciplines practiced by the Christian Church over many centuries: “Praying Scripture” and “Beholding the Lord.” We delighted that Jesus Christ, the eternal Word and Light of God, “became flesh and made his dwelling with humans,” perfectly revealing God’s glory, “full of grace and truth.” We accepted the invitation of John to receive Jesus such that we might live our lives now with the “right to be called children of God,” able to call God our heavenly Father.
