On Tuesday's Mark Levin Show, in a Senate hearing, Secretary of State Marco Rubio testified on Iran negotiations, emphasizing condition-based sanctions relief and the critical need to address Iran's ballistic missile capabilities. Any sanctions relief for Iran would fund the regime's army, IRGC, and security forces rather than the suffering people. We need to arm the Iranian people to enable an uprising. This terrorist regime seeks to destroy America and Israel while the current efforts fail to apply maximum pressure. We should not negotiate with or cut deals with terrorists because it emboldens enemies. The isolationists and the Woke Reich give aid and comfort to our adversaries. There is a growing domestic Marxist-Islamist threat, funded by Qatar, China, and others, that is organizing, building enclaves, and infiltrating politics. In breaking news, there are reports of multiple explosions in Bahrain, hours after Iran claimed precise missile strikes on U.S. bases in Kuwait and the IRGC warned of further seismic responses to American actions. Iran appears emboldened rather than defeated by reading U.S. restraint as weakness. The IRGC needs to be pounded, and the Iranian people need to be armed. Later, the core defect of Marxism is its fundamental misstatement and misapplication of human nature. Rather than being an economic philosophy aimed at equality or fairness, it uses economics and redistribution as camouflage to advance totalitarianism, seeking to control individuals, thought processes, and ultimately create a society of compliant robots. This ideology, like Islam, employs appeal to compassion and justice as propaganda while intending the opposite. It cannot work because human nature, created by God, cannot be intentionally destroyed and rejiggered by man. The practical goal is demographic transformation to build dependent, like-minded societies that can be dominated, eventually extending this control nationally. Finally, Noah Rothman calls in to discuss his book, Blood and Progress: A Century of Left-Wing Violence in America. https://www.amazon.com/Blood-Progress-Century-Left-Wing-Violence/dp/1546011412/ref=sr_1_1?crid Learn more about your ad choices. “How can we achieve perfection?” This question leads to a discussion on the steps we can take to avoid Purgatory, alongside insights on responding to Protestant challenges about Catholic doctrine. Other topics include the relationship between science and belief in God, the purpose of praying the Rosary, and the complexities of Church teachings on birth control. Join the Catholic Answers Live Club Newsletter Invite our apologists to speak at your parish! Visit Catholicanswersspeakers.com Questions Covered: 02:50 – What can we do to reach a level of perfection where we won't have to go to Purgatory? 13:45 – How do we respond to Protestants when they challenge our Catholic doctrine? 22:10 – Is there a good book that addresses the scientific basis for God? My intelligent 22 year old grandson says science prohibits him from believing in God. 30:19 – I'll be starting OCIA soon. Why pray the Rosary when we can go directly to God? And when would I pray the Rosary? It seems like if I just pray the Rosary I'd be giving up the fruitful prayer routine I already have. I wouldn't want to give that up. 41:45 – The verbiage of CCC 2370 regarding birth control, “rendering procreation impossible” puzzles me. I'm not sure how it would apply because both artificial contraception and NFP have similar success rates. 48:29 – What are some of the sins that a regular priest can't absolve? And what should a priest do if someone confesses something illegal?

In this episode, I sit down with Andrew Root to talk about his book Baal and the Gods of More and how the modern church can subtly drift into idolizing success, growth, and productivity over faithfulness to God. We unpack how ancient idolatry still shows up today, not in statues, but in our obsession with “more” and what it looks like to return to a Gospel-centered life and ministry. If you’ve ever felt the pressure to perform, produce, or prove yourself, even in your faith, this conversation will challenge you to slow down, refocus, and rediscover what it truly means to follow Jesus!
Uncle Laban has tricked Jacob into marrying both of his daughters. Life gets complicated. God has blessed Leah with a child, and Rachel is jealous. The Easter Vigil is more than a beautiful liturgy, it's the culmination of salvation history and the climax of the catechumenate. Gomer and Dave unpack the rich symbolism of the Church's greatest liturgical celebration, from the new fire and Paschal Candle to baptism, confirmation, and the Eucharist. They explore why the Vigil is centered on those entering the Church, how the liturgy embodies the Gospel through signs and symbols, and why Christians should never underestimate the power of the Church's ancient traditions. On November 21, 1915, the hope of Sir Ernest Shackleton and his twenty-seven crew members sank, along with their ship Endurance, into the dark below the Antarctic ice. They were stranded, thousands of miles from home. Later, the crew shared several things that aided their survival, including a banjo. Embarking on their brutal trek, Leonard Hussey (the expedition’s meteorologist) was the only person allowed more than two pounds of personal gear. He was allowed to bring his twelve-pound Windsor banjo. “It’s vital mental medicine,” Shackleton told Hussey, “and we shall need it.” The crew’s journals explained the power of Hussey’s music. “The banjo does . . . supply brain food,” wrote one sailor. Another reflected on “Hussey’s indispensable banjo.” The Bible presents music as one of God’s immense gifts, a way His healing and comfort enter the human heart. In the tragic story of King Saul, we hear how (due to his disobedience) he was oppressed by an “evil spirit” (1 Samuel 16:14). And what did Saul’s attendants believe the king needed to provide relief? Music. So, they found young David with his harp. “David would take up his lyre and play. Then relief would come to Saul; he would feel better, and the evil spirit would leave him” (v. 23). Music offers more than mere entertainment. It can bring joy, renew hope, and comfort weary souls. It’s truly one of God’s powerful gifts.

Drawing closer to God as we struggle
Just as our words can be used to build others up and encourage them, they can also be used to destroy people's lives. When we talk poorly about others, we are really only showing our own insecurities. Rather than using our words to damage, we should be using them to spread the Gospel and share Christ with others.

Most believers already have a good basic knowledge of what God has called them to do because God has not been hiding it from them. He has revealed it to them throughout their lives. The real issue is that many of us have not accepted our calling. We are full of self doubt and excuses. However, until we willingly accept our calling, we can't even begin to be successful. __________ Exodus 3:10–14 ERV, Exodus 4:1, 8, 10–17 ERV, Luke 4:16–21 KJV __________ Partner with Us: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com/partner Connect with Us: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com __________

One Year Bible Podcast: Join Hunter and Heather Barnes on the Daily Radio Bible, a daily Bible‑in‑a‑year podcast with 20‑minute Scripture readings, Christ‑centered devotion, and guided prayer. This daily Bible reading and devotional invites you to live as a citizen of Jesus' kingdom, reconciled, renewed, and deeply loved. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible, where we journey together through the pages of Scripture each day. On this June 3rd episode, Hunter guides us through Proverbs 25-27 and Romans 15, reflecting on wisdom, patience, encouragement, and the centrality of Christ in the Christian life. As we read and pray together, we are reminded that the Bible points us not to itself, but to Jesus—the true living Word and source of hope. Join Hunter for insight, encouragement, and a time of prayer as we discover anew how grace takes the pressure off, and how God's love is the motivation for all we do. TODAY'S DEVOTION: The Scriptures teach us and give us hope and encouragement. It's easy for us, as followers of Christ, to misunderstand the role of the Bible in our lives. We can become so enamored with Scripture that we risk turning it into an end in itself, forgetting its primary purpose: to direct our hearts to the living Word, Jesus Christ. The Bible is not the Savior; Jesus is. And as Speaker A points out in Romans 15, "Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us, and the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God's promises to be fulfilled." What is this hope? What is this encouragement that God is giving? Speaker A references back to Romans 14, where Paul reminds us that the kingdom of God is not about arguments over religious practice or culture—what we eat or drink, or even the observance of days—but about a life marked by goodness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. It's so easy to get lost in our religion and miss the point entirely: we can argue and hurt each other over differences, missing the heart of the gospel. The invitation of the kingdom is greater; it's about being transformed, healed, and empowered to serve and love—even our enemies. This kingdom life is about reflecting Christ to the world—a life of loving one another, of patience, of hope, of encouragement, of finding our identity not in religious observance or perfection, but in the abiding presence of God's Spirit within us. The fruit of this life is not fear, not anxiety, not striving to earn favor, but the freedom that comes from grace and the confidence that comes from being God's beloved. Let the Scriptures remind you and teach you that all of this—patience, hope, encouragement, peace—these are gifts from God. The Bible points us to Christ, the source of our courage and confidence. The kingdom is bigger than anything we imagine—a life richer than anything religious practice alone could provide. The best is yet to be revealed. That's a prayer for Speaker A's soul. It's the prayer for his family, his wife, his daughters, his son. And it's the prayer for you: May God give us, this day, hope and encouragement as we fix our eyes on the One who is the source, the One who invites us to live in the joy and freedom of his kingdom life. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen. Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. Bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen. And now Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. And where there is sadness, Joy. Oh Lord grant that I might not seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in the giving that we receive, in the pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in the dying that we are born unto eternal life. Amen And now as our Lord has taught us we are bold to pray... Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Loving God, we give you thanks for restoring us in your image. And nourishing us with spiritual food, now send us forth as forgiven people, healed and renewed, that we may proclaim your love to the world, and continue in the risen life of Christ. Amen. For the promise to Abraham and his offspring that he would be heir of the world did not come through the Law but through the righteousness of faith. For if it is the adherents of the Law who are to be the heirs, faith is null and the promise is void. … That is why it depends on faith, in order that [God's] promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his offspring—not only to the adherent of the Law but also to the one who shares the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all, and it is written, “I have made you the father of many nations …” [Abraham] did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead (since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah's womb. No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what He had promised. That is why his faith was “counted to him as righteousness.” But the words “it was counted to him” were not written for his sake alone, but for ours also. It will be counted to us who believe in Him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification. (Romans 4:13-14, 16-17a, 19-25)

What does it actually mean to be a man in today's world? In this episode, I sit down with pastor, author, and leader Joby Martin for a conversation about biblical manhood, faith, leadership, parenting, and the challenges facing men today. Joby shares why so many men feel stuck between passivity and aggression, and how God's design offers a better path. We talk about what it means to lead your family well, stay engaged in your faith, find the right people to walk alongside you, and avoid letting success at work come at the expense of what matters most. We also tackle a topic many parents are wrestling with: youth sports. How do you balance competitive athletics, church, family, and faith without losing sight of what matters most? Joby offers practical wisdom for parents trying to navigate those tensions. Whether you're a husband, father, leader, or simply someone wanting to follow Jesus more faithfully in everyday life, this conversation is packed with encouragement, challenge, and practical wisdom for life between Sundays. "Where is Thy faithfulness?" Something so grim had occurred in Israel that the Psalmist was led to question God's faithfulness to His covenant with the king. In fact, the Psalmist states in no uncertain terms that God is responsible for the demise of both king and country. Questioning God's faithfulness is not something the believer wants to readily admit, but most of us have experienced the feeling of abandonment and isolation when everything seems to go wrong. “So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so must you do also.” - Colossians 3:12-13 “As moral activity develops, he [the child] wants to use his own judgment, which often will be quite different from that of his teachers. There is nothing more difficult than to teach moral values to a child of this age; he gives an immediate retort to everything that we say, having become a rebel…An inner change has taken place, but nature is quite logical in arousing now in the child not only a hunger for knowledge and understanding, but a claim to mental independence, a desire to distinguish good from evil by his own powers, and to resent limitation by arbitrary authority. In the field of morality, the child now stands in need of his own inner light.” Maria Montessori, To Educate the Human Potential, pg 4 Submit a Podcast Listener Question HERE! “How is the Mass Christ’s sacrifice?” This question leads to a discussion on how Catholics view the Mass as the re-presentation of Christ’s single sacrifice, despite the experience of imperfection after attending. Other topics include the validity of saying “My Lord and My God” during consecration, and how to address challenges to the authenticity of Scripture. Join the Catholic Answers Live Club Newsletter Invite our apologists to speak at your parish! Visit Catholicanswersspeakers.com Questions Covered: 05:35 – Catholics believe that the Mass is the re-presentation of the single sacrifice of Christ, which Hebrews 10:14 says makes us perfect. But Catholics attend Mass and leave not perfected. Therefore, the Mass must not be the single sacrifice of Christ. 16:02 – A couple weeks ago I heard someone on CA say that you shouldn't say “My Lord and My God” at the consecration. But my priest told me there is actually a partial indulgence for doing this. What's true? 23:52 – How do you navigate the constant bombardment of people who deny the authenticity of scripture? 33:52 – Was Jesus always there from the beginning with God? 43:46 – The Hail Mary and the Hail Holy Queen seem like idolatry to me. 50:20 – What do Catholics believe about predestination? Is every event meant to be?
As information becomes more accessible than ever, many of us feel the pressure to have answers for everything. But what happens when the constant stream of opinions, arguments, and competing voices leaves us feeling more overwhelmed than confident? In this Staff Talk, Francis reflects on the challenge of pursuing truth in a noisy world and the peace that comes from returning to what matters most. As he shares honestly about his own struggles with information overload, he offers a reminder that our greatest need isn't to know everything; it's to walk closely with God. Francis explores the role of AI, humility, spiritual discernment, and why the people who may have the most to offer the Church today are those whose lives reveal a deep and genuine relationship with Christ. When the noise is overwhelming, the answer may not be more information, but greater intimacy with God.

[God says:] I will return again to My place, until they acknowledge their guilt and seek My face, and in their distress earnestly seek Me. “Come, let us return to the Lord; for He has torn us, that He may heal us; He has struck us down, and He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live before Him. Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord; His going out is sure as the dawn; He will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.” (Hosea 5:15-6:3)
Today’s Topics: 1, 2, 3, 4) Gospel – Mark 12:13-17 – Some Pharisees and Herodians were sent to Jesus to ensnare Him in his speech. They came and said to Him, “Teacher, we know that You are a truthful Man and that You are not concerned with anyone's opinion. You do not regard a person's status but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it lawful to pay the census tax to Caesar or not? Should we pay or should we not pay?” Knowing their hypocrisy He said to them, “Why are you testing Me? Bring Me a denarius to look at.” They brought one to Him and He said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?” They replied to him, “Caesar's.” So Jesus said to them, “Repay to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God.” They were utterly amazed at Him. "This is the most difficult and at the same time the most important thing to embrace in the Christian life: that we become willing participants (with God), not only in what God does but in the way He does it."—Eugene Peterson, Christ Plays in Ten Thousand PlacesFriends, we continue to be gripped by these two questions. How are our daily activities shaping us into the people we are becoming? And, what changes might aim our becoming more closely toward the Person and Way of Jesus? In this next episode of the Become Good Soil Foundations Series we invite you to reflect with us on these questions and the ancient idea of a rule of life. Our hope—as we revisit the rule of life—is to facilitate a gentle check in regarding how we are arranging our days.Developing a rule of life does not mean picking up a heavy yoke or toeing the line for a critical voice. Rather, “rule” in this case is related to a ruler or guide. Just as it's helpful to use a ruler to steady our hand when drawing a line, so a rule of life helps guide our lives in the direction we yearn to live. As has often been observed, a rule of life is like a trellis supporting a growing vine. The trellis supports the vine as it grows and bears fruit, shaping its form and making possible its generativity. As a vine without a trellis becomes tangled, turned in on itself, and unfruitful, so can our hearts and lives, habits and relationships, desires and impulses devolve without the structure of a supportive rule of life. With characteristic understatement, Jesus reminds us that each day of life brings plenty of predictable challenges (Matthew 6:34). What would it be like to receive from our God and the wisdom of His people a “trellis” of habits and practices that over time will form the resilience, endurance, faithfulness, joy, and love of Jesus? What would it be like to have a Kingdom-trellis upon which to rest our souls as we trust the Spirit to form in us by day and decade the character of Jesus and allow us to persevere through whatever challenge we may face on the Way?Check in with us as we explore a rule of life together. It's all been prologue. The best is yet to come. For the Kingdom,Morgan & Cherie

Send us Fan MailWholehearted Enneagram: A Year Through the Types Bonus Episode 6-7Two years ago, Payge Wicks sat down with her mom right after graduating high school, a 17-year-old still figuring out who she was. Today, she's just finished her junior year in college, studying psychology in Phoenix, 18 hours from home, and she has something real to say about what it actually looks like to be a Seven in the most formative years of your life.In this conversation, Amy and Payge pick up the thread they started two years ago, including the great Six vs. Seven question that Payge has been quietly wrestling with ever since and explore what personality awareness, faith, and genuine formation actually look like when you're living in a dorm, navigating roommates, building independence, and figuring out who God made you to be without your family right down the hall. This is a different kind of Seven conversation.
