A food & travel lifestyle podcast from a culinary voyager-slash-educator who works both on land and at sea!
This is a minisode that will answer the hilarious question I get from students, friends, and colleagues. Also included: who inspired me to do what I do, how I got my cruise ship job, strategies to save more money to travel (I will be scolding you on this one), and more! Stay ‘til the very end to hear what one cruise dad thought of my story — all in under 15 minutes!
Part II of my Top 10 Travel Tips is here! Yey! Please excuse the variation in background noise. I had to record these tips at different time intervals. Please enjoy and I hope you learn a lot! Yey! Travel tips & hacks time! These are coming straight to YOU from my personal notes. I am quite a forgetful person, so I write down copious amounts of notes for myself when on-the-go -- just to avoid those Homer Simpson "Doh!" *facepalm* moments. I'm sharing these with you so you become a travel expert FAST. If you don't mind taking 3 seconds of your time to write a review on whichever app you're using to listen to this, I would greatly appreciate it from the bottom of my chubby heart!
Another restaurant by Chef Jose Andres that we were fortunate enough to try when we were in Washington DC. Learn about Mediterranean cuisine and specific dishes -- some spices and dips you probably have never heard of before! Focus will be on the set MEZE LUNCH menu ($25 USD per person) at Zaytinya. All photos, complete with captions, are on my supplementary blog. If you want to learn more about the mastermind behind this outstanding dining venue, then listen to Ep 001 of the Nomming Expeditions podcast. He is a great inspiration to me and if you love food as much as I do, I'm sure you will fall in love with Chef Jose Andres just the same! Supplementary Blog: nommingexpeditions.travel.blog
Need help packing? This minisode will help you out! Note: Nomming Expeditions minisodes are published "medium-rare" a.k.a. with minimal editing. Thanks for tuning in to my first ep! You will not only learn about Oyamel's colourful menu but also about the awe-inspiring mastermind/chef behind it, as well as specific Mexican food items you might not know about. It is my hope that this episode helps you become more confident when ordering dishes with Spanish titles and prompts you to be bolder with your food choices. :) And of course, you will also learn a lil sumthin-sumthin about Filipino cuisine.
