    Anna Meredith's dynamic and varied compositions have put her in favor with contemporary classical and experimental electronic music fans alike. The Guardian has described her tunes as, “majestic bangers.” During our conversation, recorded at the Big Ears music Festival in Knoxville, Tennessee, we talk about how she writes these hard to categorize gems, her first U.S tour experience, and how she works with her collaborators, while being a self-described ‘control freak’. You can hear her music on her album Varmints, and also in the film Eighth Grade. That movie was one of the most acclaimed of 2018, and it was scored by Meredith.

    Jphono1 is the sometimes-solo/sometimes-not project of Carrboro, North Carolina guitarist, singer, and drummer John Harrison. His latest album, Meadow Magic Hour, features a full band, and came out earlier in 2018. John also fronts the band North Elementary, and co-runs Potluck Foundation, a label /family /cooperative of like-minded musicians in The Triangle area (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) of NC. Pedal Fuzz host Eddie Garcia (1970s Film Stock) spoke with John Harrison at his home in Carrboro, NC, just before heading out to a gig.

    Noveller is the atmospheric solo guitar project of guitarist Sarah Lipstate. With an extensive palette of effects pedals, Lipstate crafts complex and soaring guitar symphonies. She also has a signature guitar pedal from Dr. No Effects called Moon Canyon. Noveller has toured extensively, including support slots with St. Vincent, Iggy Pop, Mary Timony, and Wire.  Pedal Fuzz host Eddie Garcia (1970s Film Stock) spoke with Noveller from her home in L.A., not long after she played Moogfest in Durham, NC.
