Season seven begins! Join the Oh My Glob crew as we discuss two Princess Bubblegum-centric episodes ("Bonnie & Neddy" and "Varmints")! Stick around for the awesome listener voicemail in the end! Exclamation points! For Amy's episode predictions, we present... Caroline's Handy Dandy Grading Rubric: Does the prediction contain the same characters as the actual episode? If I worked at A.T. corp. would I produce this episode idea? How much creative effort was put forth while coming up w/ this prediction? Do the prediction and the actual ep. follow the same archetype (i.e. love & loss, heroic adventure, self-discovery, etc.)? Would this story aide in the development of the overall plot and/or character development? Do the events of the story seem plausible in regard to character traits (i.e. It would not be plausible for Finn to do something evil)? Does a similar story line occur at some later point in the show? Has a similar story line already occurred in a previously reviewed episode? The snowball that is my train of thought is all over the place this week. Why is it I keep starting off by talking about the weather? Of course, this rolls into a little chat about the side effects of having such an active monsoon season, like my yard getting overgrown and the damage on our local tree population. Naturally, this rolls into garden talk and about how it's almost September and that it's been nearly a year with my truck and we're still working on getting things fixed to get it legal in this state. Talk of fixing the truck then turns to why our garage renovations have been delayed and how my wife keeps buying hanging racks for me to install in the garage. With one of those shelf purchases she also bought me my very first KitchenAid stand mixer, which of course gets me talking about pizza and baking cookies. Then the snowball starts rolling back into the garage renovations and about tools for doing it, but that is dependent on getting the truck fixed so I can finish clearing it all out. But first things first, I have to get the back yard cleaned up so I can start planting my fall garden. In a modified "Recommended Listening" segment, I talk about some TV that I've been watching lately including "Harley Quinn" on HBO Max and Letterkenny on Hulu. I've also recently checked out the new podcast from, friend of the show, Paul Csomo, "Avast." If you are familiar with the "Varmints" podcast, imagine that style but talking about pirates. There aren't a lot of episodes yet, so I will reserve a full review for later.Join the Facebook Group Oddballs: Friends of The Odd Dad Outhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/odddadoutBuy Me A Coffeehttp://buymeacoffee.com/odddadoutFollow Along on Social athttps://www.twitter.com/odddadout/https://www.facebook.com/odddadout/https://www.instagram.com/odddadout
Pest control is important. Otherwise you get raccoons eating your trash, turkeys taking over your yard, and professional athletes saying $44 million a year isn't enough. You have to stay on top of these things. If you have a professional athlete problem, the best thing you can do is turn off the TV and stop buying tickets. It may seem cruel, but if you ignore the problem you'll end up with tons of them, and then they'll all starve to death come winter. And by "starve to death" I mean "retire at the age of 25". What critters are you willing to eat? If you were a certain kind of colonist, the answer would have been deer, or bird, possibly some certain fish, or none. And you would also likely be dead. The surviving children of these disasters and later arrivals had different opinions. Some because they were transported peasants and vagrants, other because they had just seen a whole bunch of people who were overly picky eaters die of starvation. But even the new adventurous eaters had standards. No one wanted to eat a skunk if they really didn't have to. Today we talked Mieke, the owner/operator of Pelvic Shanti. It was such a wonderful conversation because we were linked up through a mutual friend, so we had lots to talk about and it was absolutely wonderful learning! She runs her own Physical Therapy Business right here in State College. What I did find so endearing about Mieke is that she bases her entire business plan around forming “relationships” and not just clients! A majority of her clients are recent or expecting Mothers, however she can help with all your physical therapy needs.I believe she is “ahead of her time” with how she handles the insurance in the industry. She works with you, the patient and provides the best care that you require and need without being at “the mercy” of what your insurance will cover. She provides care for people who need it, not just for those “approved” for it.It was also beautiful to learn about her family, how much she loves the outdoors, and why they love Centre County so much. She is an absolute asset to the area and will definitely be getting calls from me to help me “keep mobile” and chasing Varmints!Check out the website www.pelvicshanti.comContact her with any questions at 814-808-7232 or pelvicshanti@gmail.comAnd follow on Facebook/Instagram by searching PELVIC SHANTIAnd as always: “Pizza-French Fries-Pizza French Fries!
