Sooo Basically is a podcast from two friends chatting, laughing, moaning, telling stories with oh so real reactions and saying the word ‘like’ a lot. Have a listen and hopefully have a laugh with it. If you have anything to say, share or feedback catch us on the below email. Smoochezz Email - sooobasicallypodcast@outlook.com
We reflect this week and think about stuff we are sorry for - the stuff that makes you cringe and shudder...Also we talk about things we will NEVER be sorry for and will continue making the same mistakes. Hope you enjoy or are we going to be sorry about this topic :
What you been up too......we ask ourselves this as we officially come back to Sooo Basically, and we have to say we've missed it. We try to remember the summer...which seems like forever ago, but end up talking about one thing for 42 mins - when will we learn. Tune in!
Part 2 of Episode 23 coming at you! At this point we were 3 bottles of wine deep, so our lips were looser. Madge continues on with her tales and we continue to listen and laugh. Hope you do the same!
Ok so this week was a different experience for us - firstly we had a new set up and we had our first HUMAN guest. Stories were shared, laughs were loud and too many bottles of wine were drunk...and we are delighted with it all. We ended up talking too much so this episode is 2 parter. Hope you enjoy!
WHAT IF...this episode we discuss just that. What if areas of our lives were different. More importantly What If in order to go to prom you had to get asked ....like me and mel would essentially never get to go.
Just like that it is 2021 and we are back with season 2 of Sooo Basically... With the unexpected lockdown and lets be honest feeling absolutely scunnered with it. We decided to talk about the little things we can still appreciate and get joy from. Can you relate to weird pish we buzz off.
Tis the season to give, so we thought why not give by collating all the funny bits/stories/memories from series one. As you know a lot went down in series a lot we shared and a lot of stuff to laugh at, so we had to put together for our stunning listeners.
I can't believe we are here at the end of series 1 of our podcast. Things we started as a fun hobby and this year has given us the time to do it (Covid the only thanks from us you will be getting). We go through our notes, missed stories and talk about our favourite topics and comments. Enjoy episode 20 it's ah belter >3
We are back with episode 19 and basically as the COVID news and lockdown seems to be getting worse so is our level of moanyness. So this week we talk about stuff that is genuinely pure shite like know that way your having a bad week then something really annoying happens and you turn into an actual enraged demon from hell....that's us this week. Sometimes you just need a good moan know what we mean? But also we still have laughs coz annoying things can also be funny. Hope you enjoy xx
We discuss our favourites types of trips - WEEKEND TRIPS!! From our early teenage years and all the way up to our adult. We share stories and cringe in particular about stupid shit we participated in and also still looking forward to all the future weekend trips together still to come.
After our lil break we are baaaaaaaaaaaack and delighted about it. Mel shares her engagement news which is so so lovely, we talk about the lead up and trying to keep this secret. It was fucking HARD WORK (for Vicky).
Food, food and essentially more food. Feeling inspired by being out of Glasgow for a few days and staying with my Aunt who grows all her own vegetables, like, good for her. We talk food we love, hate and how we are not into dinner parties, and even the thought is too much.
Boys we have came after to you on this episode, AS IN we are not protecting you and there is nowhere for you to hide...soz. Carrying on from last week we have given our side of what we have learned about men, what is annoying, what is unexpected and obviously there is some good things in there. Also introducing our new poster
BOY VS GIRLS Episode 14 we put our other halfs in the hot seat and asked them questions about what they think of us EXACTLY and the shite we get up to. There is absolutely a few laughs in here and overall we learned a lil about ourselves and only stuff about them.
As we have metioned before we are bestfriends, however we are quite different in ways and our sense of style is definitely one of them. We are both heavy stunnin and fabulous in the way we dress that is FACT, but still different. This week we talk more about our closet go to, items we couldn't live without and obviously items we 100% could. Also Vicky's mum wanting her to shop in Wallis :
Do you remember the first person you kissed, your first mobile phone you got or the first time you got oh so steaming. This week we cover our memorable firsts and memorable they are. In true Sooo Basically tradition the stories are embarrassing and cringey, but you will find yourself laughing anyway.
As we have discussed it is the year we turn 30 and what we have found is that more and more people we know are getting engaged, moving in together and starting to contently settle... We discuss our single days as we both had VERY different experiences with this in life - cringey moments and hideous beyond hideous dates. Also how we both found our boyfriends and just all the firsts you share with them. Listen and appreciate. ALSO our first podcast when we are together, can you tell the difference?
The weekend of Glastonbury came and went and all the memorable performances shared. It made us think about festivals that we have went to and absolutely adored. Like the lead up, the preparation, the shite you bought and just how class they actually were. We both experienced our first camping festival together and we wanted to share it all.
Experiences...what are yours and what do they mean to you - like we don't even know but we laughed loads talking about it. One of us being very hungover and shit and the other trying to hold it down. That is essentially as real as it gets. We did discuss experiences we went through as individuals some positive and some heavy shite. Funnier experiences and ones that changed us.
With lockdown beginning to ease up, it got us thinking about nights out and what they mean to us. We chat about the struggles of borrowing ID and getting into clubs, how £40 seemed to stretch so far, we were all about that clubbing life and now the importance of a day drinking outfit is essentially EVERYTHING.
Continuing you on from last week we wanted to talk about the difference being in the last couple of years in highschool and then that jump into university. We both have different opinions, stories and experiences on this that we absolutely had to share. The laughs continue as always... P.S Vicky fucked the sound
Feeling nostalgic we dedicate our 6th podcast to our easier and younger years. We look back at primary school, where you would buzz off the tiniest things and then the leap into highschool, where you thought you were just oh so stunning.
As lockdown begins to ease and Scottish weather is weirdly stunning, we dedicate this podcast to holidays and like WHEN WILL WE EVER GET TO GO AWAY?? Everyone has a different preference for what makes your perfect holiday destination. We talk about how we are itching to go away, fond/scarring memories as a child on holiday, your first club 18-30 getaway (without any adults) and experiencing completely different cultures.
We decided to do something different this week and dedicate a podcast for people to get to know us. We ask each other questions covering our likes, dislikes, embarrassing slash cringey moments in our life, childhood memories and much more. Listen and laugh - can you relate to our tales?
Ok so this week we decided to talk about what inspires us... We are bestfriends and have been for a very long time, however we both are very different and inspired by different things, and we wanted to share EXACTLY that. Listen to what inspires us and obviously there is all the hilarity along the way.
HWFG... This week we decided to discuss being an adult and just how SHITE it can be. We get into the expectations and realities of getting older - the good, the bad, the pressures and how basically we will never not rely on our mums. Can you relate ?
Sooo Basically is a podcast from two best friends chatting, laughing, moaning, telling stories with oh so real reactions and saying the word 'like' a lot. This week us girls discuss lockdown life and isolation, being furlough hunniehs, keeping fit at home using whatever we can, what we eating, what we watching - essentially anything to fill our days. Along with humorous off-topic stories, hangover cures and stuff that has annoyed or made us laugh during the week.
