Maya realizes her reckless mouth has jeopardized what she wants with Derrick and relies on her friends for advice. Kareem’s past pops up, and brings back memories of old wounds. Derrick moves forward with Maya, but the romantic dinner he expected doesn’t quite go as planned. 

Maya fights her insecurities and tries to fuel her faith about her relationship. Kareem realizes he may be missing out. Derrick's big night on the town reveals more than expected. 

Maya is perplexed after the situation at the Gala and deals with the aftermath. Kareem offers a helping hand and fights a new temptation. Derrick ponders a recent invitation, and his friends don't help at all.
