In episode 15 we hear from Flynn about his spell. #litchallenge today is all about nature. List ten things you love do in nature, perhaps you could write about your favourite one and your experience? Get outside and find a leaf, trace it in your Writer's Notebook or stick it in. Use this as inspiration for a poem or even a story about magical powers that it possesses.
In Episode 14 we listen to some writing from Rhylee and Tyler. The #litchallenge this week is a Harry Potter themed challenge, we are encouraging young writers to make up their own spells. In Episode 13 find more ideas to support your kids at home with creative writing. The #litchallenge for today is to write about a bad experience you have had with an animal! In Episode 11 it is time to start sharing ideas for parents to be using at home in this crazy time. Get your kids writing and sharing their writing. Have a go at getting early writers to draw a monster and tell you a story involving their monster. For independent writers have a go at writing a poem about being stuck at home! In episode 3 we have a feature length episode to celebrate Book Week! We have Toby and India from Grade 1 sharing their writing this week. Of course we have our weekly fact or fib. We hear from Newhaven Primary School teachers about books they will be reading for Book Week. We catch up with an old friend and a couple of pre- schoolers to hear about their book recommendations. We also have an exclusive interview with local Phillip Island Author/Illustrator Karen Allen! In the Lit Challenge this week we encourage you to lift a line from 5 different books. Find the opening sentences in 5 books and record them in a Writing journal or notebook, have a go at writing the follow up lines, who knows it may lead to a new story!
