Això és el que opina el psicòleg lloretenc Isaac Lloveras arran de l'anunci del president del govern espanyol, Pedro Sánchez, que té la intenció de prohibir les xarxes als adolescents menors de 16 anys. “A molts grans trets ho valoro de manera positiva, però hem d'anar més enllà del que diuen els titulars i hem de centrar-nos en moltes altres coses”Isaac Lloveras La mesura s'engloba en un conjunt de mesures que pretenen augmentar el control de les plataformes digitals per protegir infants i adolescents de l'excés d'informació i dels continguts potencialment perjudicials. En definitiva, el que es busca és aconseguir un entorn digital segur, democràtic i respectuós amb els drets fonamentals. I és que hi ha diversos estudis sobre la taula que alerten de l’impacte negatiu de les xarxes socials en la salut mental juvenil i apunten al fet que plataformes com TikTok, Snapchat o Instagram contribueixen a l’augment de l’ansietat, la depressió i altres trastorns entre els adolescents. Davant d'aquestes evidències, Isaac Lloveras està d'acord en què hi hagi una regulació, però recorda que cal tenir en compte que no tot és negatiu en l'ús de les xarxes, ja que hi ha alguns casos en què són beneficioses. “No tot són perills i cal recordar que les xarxes socials en algunes ocasions també són espais de creativitat, d'aprenentatge i, fins i tot, en algunes ocasions són refugi per a persones joves que busquen suports en comunitats que no troben en els seus entorns físics”Isaac Lloveras Per tant, el psicòleg considera que la prohibició ha d'anar acompanyada d'un pla d'educació digital. “La prohibició ha d'anar de la mà d'un pla d'educació digital, per a escoles i per a famílies, i que no només sigui un no, sinó una preparació”Isaac Lloveras Isaac Lloveras recorda que actualment ja està restringit l'ús de les xarxes en menors de 14 anys, però hi ha molts adolescents que se salten aquesta norma i ho fan, en molts casos, amb la complicitat dels pares. Sense anar més lluny, un informe impulsat pel govern espanyol i Unicef sobre el consum digital dels joves alerta que gairebé 8 de cada 10 infants ja tenen xarxes socials als 11 anys. Per tant, Lloveras matisa que cal estudiar bé com s'han d'aplicar les mesures perquè hi hagi la garantia que es poden complir. I afegeix que també cal fer partícips els joves, que són nadius digitals, a l'hora de marcar el full de ruta a seguir. “Ja existeixen regulacions, per tant, cal estudiar com les adaptem perquè siguin funcionals i ajudin a les famílies i a les persones adolescents i com aquestes persones adolescents també les podem involucrar en la creació d'aquestes noves regulacions perquè siguin útils”, ha comentat Lloveras. “Tenim una visió molt paternalista amb un col·lectiu que ens pot explicar i ens pot ensenyar moltes coses”Isaac Lloveras Per ara, Austràlia ja ha aprovat mesures similars i França i Dinamarca ho estan tramitant.
