Ever sat around with your friends and wondered what it would be like if you had your own sitcom? Well, we didn't have the budget for a sitcom—but we thought that our off-the-cuff banter and zany life stories warranted a podcast, at the very least. For an unfiltered look into the lives and minds of a…
We're finally here: the series finale. In true Transparency fashion, we try to reminisce about the journey we've been on for the past ten months, through the podcast, our friendship, and our time in LA—but get sidetracked by conversations about hot tubs in tents and celebrity nightmares. We manage to wrap up with some sentimental thoughts about our squad (and a sneak peek at our unlikely future endeavors). As a special treat for getting this far, we're also revealing a blooper reel of some of our best moments that never made the cut to a finished episode. Thanks for sticking with us, and look out for our 2022 reunion!
This episode might be coming to you a little behind schedule... just like a certain perpetually tardy cast member of ours, who showed up more than a few minutes late to this episode’s recording session. After his unfashionably late arrival, we get back into our groove, spilling the tea on some of our most embarrassing escapades from the past year, like getting kicked out of a bar or faking a relationship in the dining hall. It may be our penultimate episode, but join us in laughing and reminiscing as if it's our first time in the recording booth.
Are you tired of your cereal getting soggy too quickly? Ever wanted to get drunk without having to endure the taste of alcohol? Do you have a murder that needs to be quickly and discreetly cleaned up? Well, lucky for you, we’ve got solutions to all of these problems and more! In this pre-pandemic episode, we’re taking a trip into the Shark Tank with the help of our special guest and hopeful entrepreneur, Nicolo. Listen in to see if he gets a bid from one of our sharks or leaves the recording “tank” empty-handed.
Long time, no talk! After a two-month quarantine hiatus, Transparency is back for a very special and super-sized episode brought to you by Zoom. This week, we’re catching you up on our experiences leaving college for the semester, returning back to our hometowns and all of the things we’ve been doing to keep ourselves from going crazy while in self-isolation.
The Transparency team and special guest Elliot chat about his devotion to ducks, affinity for astronomy and so much more. So, grab a bowl of Cocoa Dyno-Bites, slip into your most comfortable t-shirt and basketball shorts and enjoy this week’s ducking dope episode.
This week, we're sitting down with our first-ever, in-studio guest, Remi, to talk about all of her favorite things. We dive into her work as a digital artist, aspiring Imagineer, escape room enthusiast and Club Penguin lover (watch out, we hear she's looking for ways to get banned).
Love is in the air this week with our Valentine’s Day episode that’s being posted two weeks late, whoops! Nonetheless, enjoy our heartfelt conversation on relationships, romance and resilience... in the words of Shafer: “just keep your head up, loner!”
Even though we’ve been away for a few weeks, we’re back with our most relaxing episode to date. So, put on a good pair of headphones, get cozy in bed and allow our tingle-inducing conversations about ‘Parasite’, Chex Rice, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, steroid cremes and Tooth Tunes guide you into a deep slumber.
Are you wondering why there are three e’s in the words “Week” and “Cheek” in this week’s episode? Three e’s for three topics: e-sports, education, and elections. Despite getting a bit hEated this time around, we manage to prove that you don’t need to believe in what your arguing about to have an extensive debate.
It's a new decade, but we're still the same old Transparency, and we're starting off season two with an even more dizzying array of disjointed stories, from celebrating the new year with celebrity sightings to outsmarting Ellen (or at least the interns who write for her) at her own mobile game. We also come full circle with a full discussion about our first ever episode topic—The Bachelor—and as always, we stay transparent about our true feelings concerning Pilot Pete.
Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! Kwanzaa Blessings! This week, we’re spreading some holiday cheer before entering the new year. ‘Tis the season for wishing that camp lice treatments didn’t leave some of us considering hair plugs, Instagram vitamins and mottaism as solutions for getting our silky locks back. Get ready to deck the halls of your Lego strip clubs and do something to a plush horse that’s guaranteed to get you put on the naughty list in Transparency’s final episode of season one!
We've tackled puberty before on this podcast, but this episode we return to a period of our lives that many of us desperately wish we could stay in: childhood. We may have just barely escaped our teens, with a member who still literally is one, but that doesn't stop us from reminiscing about the good ol' days; when kids' media and culture was funny, poignant and generation-defining.
The Transparency team gets serious this week to discuss a very important topic: self-care. However, don’t worry, we made sure to break it up with an equally-significant discussion on bowel movements. So take care of yourself, and listen to this episode.
Planning a trip to Los Angeles soon? Well, you’re in luck because your five favorite SoCal experts are sitting down to provide you with your all-encompassing guide to the City of Angels. We’re giving you the inside scoop on how to get free food from Shonda Rhimes, bloody hands from Alex Trebek, and so much more…
Despite us being one clown down with Dolly being absent from this week's episode, we still manage to get into the Thanksgiving spirit with calls to some of our closest family members. To get there though, we wade through a myriad of things we're thankful for, from the underrated music the iconic Phillip Phillips, to the *correct* pronunciation of Las Vegas—are you saying it right?
Did you hate middle school? Was puberty, with all its body hair and bodily fluids, a time of your life you never want to think about again? Well tough luck, because we're dredging up all those repressed memories and coming clean about the messiness of growing up.
We might not have been able to get the gang together this week, but that’s not stopping us from providing you with this “bonas” episode of never-before-heard bloopers. It’s probably hard to imagine that certain side conversations are cut from our already tangent-driven show, but lo and behold, here we are.
Whether it's partaking in an Ironman Triathlon or an online anime workout routine, you really can find fitness in nearly any activity. So, sit down, grab a vegan cheese quesadilla, and enjoy this week's episode as we explain the importance of living a healthy lifestyle... advice coming from the five healthiest people on this planet.
In our spookiest episode to date, we discuss all the activities we've done over the past few weeks to get us into the Halloween spirit. Some of them are rooted in fantasy, like spending the evening at a frightening amusement park, and some, like getting alerts from a crime-reporting app that someone is hurling rocks 300 feet away from you, prove that reality can at times be the scariest of all.
In our inaugural episode—super-sized, for your listening pleasure—we attempt to plan out our ideal Bachelor(ette) hometown dates. We get a little sidetracked, as usual, but listen in to see if you think our date ideas (along with our wit and charm, of course) would snag us the final rose.
