The Trek Politics with Mary L. Trump and Bob Cesca podcast is a brilliant combination of politics and Star Trek, providing listeners with an entertaining and insightful discussion on both subjects. The use of Star Trek as a device to discuss politics is a fun and genius concept that allows for interesting comparisons and contrasts with current political events. Mary and Bob's extensive knowledge of Star Trek and politics greatly enhances the podcast, making it a must-listen for fans of both.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is the diverse range of guests that Mary and Bob bring on. From actors like Jeri Ryan to political experts like Terry Matalas, the interviews are always fascinating and provide unique perspectives on both Star Trek and current political issues. The hosts themselves are also fantastic, with Mary's refreshing point of view and Bob's great voice match making for engaging discussions.

Unfortunately, there are no glaring issues or negative aspects to point out about this podcast. It consistently delivers great content that appeals to fans of Star Trek as well as those interested in politics. However, one minor critique could be that sometimes the focus on Star Trek behind-the-scenes information outweighs the political discussions. While this can still be enjoyable for fans of the show, those looking for deep political analysis might want more focus on current events.

In conclusion, The Trek Politics with Mary L. Trump and Bob Cesca podcast is a superb show that successfully combines politics and Star Trek in a way that is both entertaining and thought-provoking. The hosts' extensive knowledge, diverse range of guests, and engaging discussions make it a standout among other podcasts. Mary and Bob announce a temporary hiatus for this podcast until the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes are resolved, in essence Trek Politics is joining the virtual picket line in support of the actors and writers. Per the SAG-AFTRA guidelines, our guests are unable to publicly discuss or promote Star Trek or any studio or network projects, and it's a gray area in terms of whether we, as podcasters, can discuss Star Trek on the show. So rather than struggling to navigate all of that, we decided to support the actors and writers by beaming the show into the transporter buffer until everything is resolved. We will return!See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
