JOY is a gift from God. He loves to give you JOY. Make sure your ways please the Lord and He will make sure you are blessed beyond measure. Ecclesiastes 2:26(NKJV) 26 For God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight; but to the sinner He gives the work of gathering and collecting, that he may give to him who is good before God.
Joel 2:25 I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.
James 1:2 Count it all joy when you fall into various trials.Many things in this life pose a threat to our faith. Trials test our faith. James tells us to REJOICE in the midst of our trials because God is at work to produce far greater in us to settle, mature, and complete us. Trust God during the test.
When God starts asking questions, it's to get your attention! Here are some examples from the scriptures:1. Where are you? Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat? (Genesis 3:9,11) God asked Adam and Eve these questions for us to understand an obedient relationship with God is so necessary.2. What is that in your hand? (Exodus 4:2) God asked Moses this question to illustrate that sometimes what we need is already on hand or present.3. What are you doing here? (I King 19:9) God asked Elijah this question to remind us that He is a God full of mercy and grace that reaches very far, even into dark cave moments.4. Am I a God at hand, says the Lord, and not a God afar off? Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? Do not I fill heaven and earth? (Jeremiah 23:23-24) God ask Jeremiah this question to remind us of His loving present care and vast power available to us.5. Can these bones live?(Ezekiel 37:3) God asked Ezekiel this question to remind us that He has power over dead situations.6. Do you want to be made well? (John 5:6) God asked the crippled man this question to let us know He is a healer!
Psalm 29:11: The Lord will give strength to His people. The Lord will bless His people with peace. Power and Peace are two benefits in serving the Lord. Power is divine "know how" to accomplish anything. Peace is the blessed assurance that only God can give letting you know everything will favor you despite what it may look like. Although life can be unpredictable, it is a precious GIFT. So rely on God so you can access His great and wonderful benefits. There are many benefits in being a child of God.
