Five years on, he returns as a coach and strategist working across dozens of short-term rental operators, and now a commissioned officer in the Royal Air Force reserves. That mix of experience gives this conversation its shape: what the military taught him about briefing, decision-making and slowing down, and how those same lessons apply to the way operators are using AI in their marketing. The central argument is one Paul delivered on stage at Scale in Brighton, and it is worth sitting with. AI did not break marketing, it exposed the people who were never really marketing in the first place. When content becomes cheap and fast to produce, the operators who understood their audience all along pull ahead, and the ones who mistook activity for strategy get found out. Heather and Paul talk through his 10-80-10 protocol, his SMERLAC briefing structure borrowed from military planning, and why the real work in AI happens before you ever ask it to write a word. It is a practical, funny and genuinely useful conversation for any operator who has looked at their AI-generated captions and felt that something was missing. Key takeaways AI has not broken marketing. It has exposed the operators who were producing content without ever really marketing, because publishing posts, writing blogs and appearing in magazines are not the same as moving a guest from "I might visit" to "I want to stay there." The real work happens before you prompt. Paul's 10-80-10 protocol puts the first 10 percent into defining exactly who you want and briefing the AI properly, lets AI do 80 percent of the heavy lifting, then reserves the final 10 percent for inspecting and personalising the output. Define your perfect potential guest in granular detail. Go beyond age and income to how many cars they have, where they shop, even the colour of their hair, so you can picture one real person on the other side of the screen rather than a demographic. Use a proper brief, not a wish. "Write me 10 captions about my holiday cottage" is a wish. Paul's SMERLAC structure (Situation, Mission, Execution, Resources, Limitations, Ask questions, Check understanding) gives the AI what it needs to produce something useful. Followers are not the same as money. A client with 28,000 followers built through giveaways had almost no buying intent, while 52 people who genuinely want to book beat 52,000 who just think you are funny. Feed AI your real voice. Heather uploaded the handwritten manuscript of a book she wrote in 2005, unedited, and it changed everything the AI produced. Your idiolect, the phrases only you use, is what cuts through the sameness. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The Older Son | A Man Had Two Sons | Drew Ritchie by The Hills Church
When I went to Furman University back in the early 70s, I was giving the nickname “Kid”. It's what all the people in the band and music department called me, it was on the back of my Phi Mu Alpha fraternity jersey, even to this day, 50 plus years later, my college friends call me “Kid”.I'm not quite sure how I came to be called “Kid” … but it stuck. Maybe it was because I acted like a kid or looked like a kid, I never really knew.Do you have a nickname? What is it? Who gave you that name? How did you get it? Nicknames are given for a lot of reasons. Some are given to honor you. Some are given to embarrass you. Some are given because of the way you act, the way you look or the way other people see you.In ancient times, the city of Antioch was famous for creating and giving nicknames to people, places and things. These nicknames could have been given in honor or ridicule. In Antioch, the Followers of Jesus were given a very distinct nickname based on their passion for, and devotion to Jesus… and it stuck!I encourage you to read Acts 11 as we discover and unpack this nickname and look at how God was active, present and alive in Antioch and how believers changed the entire feel of the city.
Sheelaa M Bajaj, numerologist and founder of House of Sheelaa, believes our biggest barrier isn't bad luck—but failing to align our name, birth date, and elements with our highest frequency. She reveals that your birth number and life path number are only the surface; your name's vibration and the five elements (fire, earth, metal, water, wood) dictate whether you attract honey or flies—and why ignoring these energetic pillars keeps you swimming against the current. From surviving an abusive marriage to activating her own Raja Yogas through name changes, Sheelaa views numerology as a memory system for planetary energy left by ancient channelers. She shows why a Number Four must set boundaries to stop over-giving; why a Number Seven's overthinking isn't a flaw but a spiritual gift; why a Number Nine must find their soul's purpose or burn from within; and why aligning your name with the right planet transforms personal chaos into professional and relational miracles. We explore the difference between heaven's luck (fixed birth chart), earth luck (feng shui and vastu), and personal luck (name and mindset), the fiery 2026 as a "Year of the One" ruled by the sun, the necessity of syncing energy healing with hypnotherapy to close old trauma tabs, and how viewing yourself as a conscious creator turns karmic lessons into quantum leaps. The path to your destiny has always been encoded in numbers. Will you keep blaming your circumstances—or finally tune your frequency to the vibration that makes everything flow with ease?
This message focuses on God's ultimate plan of healing, restoration, and renewal rather than destruction. Preaching from the closing chapters of Revelation, Brad Curtis, Downtown Campus Lead Pastor, explains that God's purpose has always been to restore His creation—not abandon it. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible tells the story of a God who continually moves toward broken people and a broken world, bringing healing, hope, and new life. In the end, God makes "all things new," dwelling with His people forever, where pain, sorrow, and death are no more. Followers of Christ are called to live as "new creation people" today, reflecting God's restoring work while looking forward to the day when His kingdom is fully realized.Reflective Questions1. This message series has an image of water in a desert. What aspects of your life need to be restored by God's water? 2. What does the phrase, “The Going God” mean to you? 3. Has this message series presented a new way to think about the Book of Revelation?

Introduction Revelation is God's picture book; induces impressions, rather than deducing facts. The call here is to forget about the question: what next? and ask: what now? This is about the end of the beginning. God's revelation says: 'serve the Lord, and watch this space!' Jesus' death and resurrection make Heaven possible for believers in Him. 1. The Revelation of Jesus Christ [1:1-8] # "God showed the orderly way that things must happen." It is a blueprint, not a timetable. God reveals his mind on the purposes of History. v2 John witnessed to the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, "in all the things he saw" in this vision. John saw Jesus on the Cross. In 90-95 AD he saw Jesus on the throne of heaven. v3 records the first of seven blessings in the book. "Blessed are those who read / hear / keep the words of this prophecy". Revelation is authorised by the Apostle John. v4 God the Father… "who is… and was… and is to come" anchors the prophecy. The Holy Spirit activates it by making believers' prayers acceptable to the Father. v5 Jesus the Son… "the faithful witness" is the achiever of the prophecy; described here as who is… and was… and is to come. [John 14:8-9] # He is "the firstborn from the dead". Because he rose, believers live also. "He is the ruler of the kings of the earth". "Unto him be the glory and dominion for ever and ever". Jesus is at the centre of our worship because v5b "He loved us…. and loosed us from our sins by his blood." He achieved our salvation "once and for all". There can be no further offering for sin. v6a "He made us a kingdom of priests unto his God and Father…" We can pray effectively for others… we can proclaim the hope of the Gospel. # Mankind produces ideas about the future: 'look what we have achieved.' If you do not follow the Saviour, you cannot be with the Lord forever. Here is 'the blueprint' for what will definitely happen. v1 [i] "Jesus Christ… the faithful witness comes in the clouds" v5 Daniel [7:13] in an apocalyptic dream had a glimpse of Christ's glory. Matthew 24 Jesus announced the end of temple worship and sacrifice. Sun, moon and stars fade. "The sign of the Son of Man appears" [Matt 24:30] Jesus' Ascension [Acts 1:9] "a cloud hid him from their sight…" An angel [Acts 1:11] said, "This Jesus will come back in the same way." [ii] "Every eye will see him" [v7] No announcements on social media, mobile phone or AI. "They who pierced him" will see him clearly. "All will see Jesus…" [iii] "All the tribes of the earth will mourn over him." Seeing him without knowing him by faith is the ultimate disaster. v8 "I am… the alpha and the omega": the beginning and the end. Seven times he says: "I am the Almighty…" 2. The Vision to John [1:9-20] John [v10] "in the Spirit on the Lord's Day"… was open to God's leading. John explains he is a brother — sharer in troubles and the patience God gives. # John says "I heard a Voice like a trumpet" v12 John "turned to see the voice, but… saw seven golden lamp stands…" v13 "In the midst of the lamp stands: I saw one like a son of man". He was someone like no other he had ever seen. v14 The man… "had snowy white hair… eyes like flaming fire…" v17 "When I saw him, I fell down at his feet like a dead man…" v15 The voice continued to demand attention. Later [14:2] John speaks of the sweetness of "a choir with harps singing a new song before the King's Throne…" Deeper [19:6] "a mighty clap of thunder" and the call: "Hallelujah, for the Lord God, the Almighty reigns". # I Saw a Vision for All People [v12] A vision of the end of time, a vision of the Son of Man [v13] Matthew 26:64 Jesus spoke as King. "You will see the Son of Man… sitting on the right hand of power… coming in the clouds." Cf Stephen the first Christian martyr [Acts 7:55] # On the Isle of Patmos John saw the everlasting risen Lord. John saw the Son of Man [a] dressed as King. [v13] [b] crowned in holiness. [v14] [c] enduring forever. [v15] [d] administering Justice The Churches are upheld by his right hand. [v4] They are lamp stands providing light around the Throne. [v20] People who oppose the Gospel face the "two-edged sword of his mouth" [v16] 19:15 With it "he will smite the nations… ruling with a rod of iron…" Those who embrace the Gospel see God's face shining like the sun at the highest point of the day. # Notice the Lord's tenderness toward his servant John. [v17; Matthew 8 & 17] John was commanded to do two things. [i] "Do not be afraid" v18. [1 John 4:18] the Apostle says: "There is no fear in love…. Perfect love drives out fear…" v17 The Risen Lord is the first and the last…. v18 "I am the Living One…" [ii] Write what you have seen. v19-20 Israel had a physical temple. Followers of Jesus are the temple of God. Many churches have lost their way… rejecting Jesus as Lord. Challenging Biblical authority… remaining quiet about what God demands… not distinguishing right from wrong… substituting entertainment for worship. Revelation 2 and 3 provide God's mission statement for HIS church. [Rev Tom Halls]

Jesus Followers Are “Commissioned" to “Make Disciples” and Not to Become Members of an Exclusive Holy Club MESSAGE SUMMARY: We need to welcome new excited Followers of Jesus as members of our Non-Exclusive global fellowship as Followers of Jesus. Those of us who have been brought up in the church or have been in the church for a while can get caught up in our perceived personal righteousness. We get used to the presence of God and His peace in our lives. However, we then encounter a new Followers of Jesus. These new Christians, before their conversion, were living in the ways of the world without God's peace. Now, these new believers are so excited with their new life; however, their outward manifestation of their conversion may not “fit” with our personal Christian behavioral norms. Sadly, too many modern Christians judge and condemn these new, excited believers for their enthusiasm rather than loving, encouraging, and embracing these new Followers of Jesus. We can learn from Jesus' rebuke of the Pharisees, who exhibited similar non-supportive behavior of Christians in Matthew 5:20: “For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”. TODAY'S PRAYER: Father, when I read even part of the story of Job, I too am overwhelmed by your “wildness.” Your ways and timing are beyond me. Job moved from hearing about you to having “seen you.” Lead me, Lord, on a pathway so that I too can pray as Job prayed: “My ears had heard of you, but now my eyes have seen you” (Job 42:5). In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 89). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, because I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Inconsistencies. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit's fruit of Faithfulness. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f). Send us Fan MailJeff Alipio had 170 followers when he launched his first course. Most of them were friends and family. He sold to nearly 500 students anyway, almost all of them complete strangers.Dominik sat down with Jeff, a Philippines-based video editor and course creator with over 15 years in the industry, to talk about how he pulled that off, and why he thinks the obsession with follower count is one of the biggest traps course creators fall into. What came through clearly in this conversation is how simply Jeff thinks about audience quality versus audience size. He makes the point that a million followers who came to you for prank videos are not going to buy your video editing course, and he built his entire growth strategy around that idea. Facebook ads, targeted tightly, finding the specific people who actually wanted what he was selling.Jeff also talked through what he teaches inside Video Made Easy, his course for Filipino freelancers starting from zero. It goes well beyond editing basics. There are modules on storytelling, personal branding, profile optimization, and a freelancer mindset section about building a career that AI cannot easily displace. The end of the conversation got practical. Jeff's advice for anyone who has the skills but hasn't launched yet: stop waiting for the perfect course and start with what you already know. The overthinking is the thing that's actually slowing you down.Check out Jeff's work:

Debra Silverman, astrologer and author of I Don't Believe in Astrology, believes our biggest challenge isn't learning the planets—but reconciling our unconscious reactivity with our authentic self. She reveals that your Moon sign is the direct key to your inner child, dictating whether you freeze, talk, clean, or explode when triggered—and how mistaking these archetypal responses for personal flaws keeps you stuck on the "low road".From mailing away for her first chart at age seven to remembering ancient Lemuria's telepathic wisdom, Debra views astrology as a memory system left by a higher council. She shows why a Water Moon's need for stillness isn't trauma but wisdom; why an Air Moon must speak to regulate; why an Earth Moon needs action to soothe; and why a Fire Moon must move to avoid burnout. We explore the difference between high-road authenticity and low-road reactivity, the current cosmic renaissance of Mars conjunct Uranus and Saturn in Aries, the practice of self-regulation to calm the nervous system, and how viewing yourself as a "healing agent" transforms inherited pain into profound trust. The path to emotional freedom has always been written in the stars. Will you keep judging your instinctual nature—or finally learn to ride the waves of your chart with total confidence?

If this resonated with you, here are additional resources:⭐ APPLY TO SHIFT: https://sidehustlepro.co/shiftIn this episode, I sat down with longtime friends and business partners Cynthia Bailey and Dana Hill-Robinson to talk about how a friendship that started in a New York hair salon in the 1990s turned into a skincare brand thirty years later. Cynthia shares her path from an eighteen year old model moving to New York to a reality television mainstay, while Dana walks us through her years at Vogue and Harper's Bazaar and building the beauty subscription box Cocotique. We dig into how they finally partnered on Glowissima, why they chose to launch with only two hero products, and how they source ingredients like manuka honey and kiwi seed oil from New Zealand. Cynthia also opens up about the businesses she has closed in the past and what those experiences taught her about knowing when to walk away.Cynthia and Dana get candid about profitability timelines, the current shift in consumer spending, and why a huge social following does not automatically translate into sales. They close out with practical advice for women who want to start a business but are worried about money and failure.Main TakeawaysLaunch lean: start with one or two hero products instead of a full line so you can prove the concept before scaling.Know when to fold: it is a business skill, not a failure, to walk away from a venture once it stops making financial sense.Vet every partnership: joint ventures work best when both sides have a track record and clearly defined roles from the start.Followers are not buyers: a large social following does not guarantee sales, so keep testing your messaging and your audience.Highlights Include(00:19) How Cynthia and Dana met at a New York hair salon in the 1990s(02:37) Cynthia's move from Alabama to New York at eighteen to model(04:08) The Essence cover that became Cynthia's big break(05:24) The move from modeling into reality television(10:26) Lessons from closing the Bailey Wine Cellar and the Bailey Room(14:44) Dana on pivoting Cocotique into a health and wellness hub(17:56) The formulation story and meaning behind the name Glowissima(19:14) Turning a thirty-year friendship into a business partnership(27:01) Sourcing manuka honey and kiwi seed oil from New Zealand(38:57) Digging deeper on marketing when the economy shiftsWatch & ListenWatch this episode on YouTube and listen on all podcast platforms:Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/side-hustle-pro/id1126021323Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/13qDj08lBR4ymzGhXIKy8tYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/sidehustleproAnnouncementsApplications are now open for Shift, my 12-week coaching program designed to help experienced professionals package their expertise into a profitable offer, identify their first clients, and confidently launch their next chapter.Learn more and apply at: https://sidehustlepro.co/shiftSocial MediaCynthia Bailey: Instagram @CynthiaBaileyDana Hill-Robinson: Instagram @DanaHillRobinsonGlowissima: Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok @GlowissimaCocotique: Facebook @CocoTique, TikTok @CocoTiqueBeautyBox Hosted on Acast. You can be walking with God and still walk through painful places. Following Jesus does not mean we avoid hurt, opposition, or discomfort. But it does mean we are never without His presence. In this REVING the Word workout, Alisa Keeton explores Luke 10:17-20 and the authority Jesus gives His followers. When the 72 disciples returned amazed by what God had done through them, Jesus reminded them that their greatest victory was not what they accomplished, but that their names were written in heaven. Followers of Jesus will experience hurt. We will face resistance and walk through hard things. But when you are anchored in Jesus, "you won't be wrong." Press play, move your body, open your heart, and let His Word move in you. Anchor Scriptures Luke 10:17–20 Luke 9 Luke 12:32 Hebrews 11:1 Psalm 139 New to REVING the Word? Your body was created to carry the presence and purpose of God. In REVING the Word episodes, we don't just listen to Scripture; we practice it. We let God's truth move from our ears into our hearts and through our bodies. Move however you want. Walk. Lift. Stretch. Dance. There is no "right" way. Send us Fan MailIn this episode of The Insider Diary, I give a personal update on how work and content creation have been going. The main focus is my Instagram growth, I've picked up almost 2,000 followers in five weeks by posting reels daily, and I break down exactly which reels worked, which ones flopped, and the workflow behind it all. I also cover my content days and open the waitlist for my upcoming hair masterclass.Started posting reels daily from 18 March this year. Nearly 2,000 new followers in about five weeks.Biggest lesson from the whole run: people only watch for 7 to 13 seconds. The hook decides whether they stay.My workflow: uses ChatGPT to help with captions, hooks and on-screen prompts, edits everything in the Edits app, posts to Instagram first, pulls the original file from Edits (not a re-download from Instagram) to post on TikTok, then reposts from TikTok to YouTube Shorts.Next move: repost her best performers again with a reworked hook, using ChatGPT to help tweak them.Advice for anyone starting out: just start. Mistakes are part of it. You'll find your style along the way. Collaboration helps (like her episode with Max) but isn't essential.Announcement: the waitlist is open for her hair masterclass. Format isn't locked in yet (leaning look-and-learn), and it'll be offered virtually too, so it's not just for Sydney or Australia. The Hair Edit Waitlist Follow TMI on IG Follow Vanessa on IGThe Makeup Insider Blog The Makeup Insider TikTok

Starting a Facebook business page from scratch is hard. Even growing an existing page can feel hard. But it's a critical part of audience building. You create great content your ideal customer will love. And you want your ideal customer - lots of your ideal customers - to see it. That means gaining more followers. When I started my page, How to Start a Subscription Box, in early 2020. I knew who my ideal customer was. What I didn't know was how I was going to get them to like my page. I spent six months spinning my wheels and not gaining a ton of followers. At the end of those six months, I took a step back and took a close look at what I was doing. And what I wasn't doing. Then I came up with an action plan to get to 1000 followers before the end of the year. Getting to 1000 followers is possible. In this episode, I'm sharing four things you can do to reach - and pass - that 1000 follower mark. I called these “4 Simple Steps to Gain Your First 1000 Facebook Followers.” Nothing I've recommended is complicated or difficult. Following these 4 steps helped me reach 1000 followers on my business Facebook page. Continuing to follow them led to reaching - and passing - 10,000 followers in less than two years. Let Facebook work for you! Join me for this episode where I share a simple, 4-part action plan for gaining your first 1,000 Facebook followers. Followership has as much impact on organizational effectiveness as leadership. Followers execute strategy, create ideas and options based on their lived experiences, and have the power to impact sustainable change. But it doesn't happen by accident. Let's spend time exploring how good followership begins.
Amelie Polk, of Ask Amelie, through her own harrowing journey from burnout, chronic illness, and rigid self-optimization to vibrant alignment, has cracked the code on one of astrology's most misunderstood truths — that the stars don't dictate your fate; they give you permission to finally be yourself. In this episode, Amelie shares the practical, body-based framework that's transforming how we approach daily life: using your Mars sign to find workouts you'll actually love, your Venus sign to dress for self-worth and attraction, and your Chiron placement to turn your deepest wounds into your greatest medicine. Not abstract spirituality. Not vague predictions. An actual manual for unlearning society's shoulds and reclaiming your energetic signature. We go deep into the massive planetary shifts ahead — Chiron's transit into Taurus (a collective reckoning with money, body image, and safety), Jupiter's move into Leo (visibility, performance, and the fall of inauthentic fame), and Pluto's relentless push to tear down corrupt structures for a more empowered collective. This may just be the most grounded cosmic conversation you'll hear. Are you living your chart — or are you still performing someone else's?
Is it okay for followers of Jesus to disagree? Why did Paul and Barnabas disagree? How can we face disagreement with another follower of Jesus in a way that honors them and God? In this episode, Emma Dotter unpacks Acts 15:36-41 and answers the question, “How do we disagree in a way that protects both truth and love?” She gives listeners questions to consider when walking through disagreement with another believer and how to invite God into it. // ADDITIONAL VERSES MENTIONED: Acts 13: 13; Colossians 4: 10; James 1 // RELATED JOIN THE JOURNEY EPISODES: “S4:263 – Introduction to the book of Acts” (https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast...) “S4:269 – Acts 15-17” (https://open.spotify.com/episode/3NShJvbx2EPozwMwxJq2Hm?si=98ac89d64476429c) “Episode 204: Acts 15” (https://open.spotify.com/episode/1C4nPaR3RZjQlAN7nYyAX6?si=2d16480ac3b34d66) // WHAT IS JOIN THE JOURNEY? America turns 250 this year. Every brand on the planet is reaching for the moment. And most of them are about to miss it completely. Michael Quinn has spent years studying why, and what to do instead. He is a 3x LinkedIn Top Voice with a following above 360,000, a Forbes Coaches Council member, and the founder of Tenova LLC, with a monthly social reach that exceeds two million people. He knows what makes content land, what makes brands earn trust, and what the difference looks like between honoring a moment and just borrowing it. In this conversation we get into three ideas that every marketer needs right now. Story is the only strategy that lasts. Authenticity is a decision, not a vibe. And the opportunity sitting inside America's AI disruption is bigger than most brands realize. Michael also designs an AI-powered campaign to honor the 250th live, and closes with what he wants every marketer to do the moment this episode ends. If you want to get this moment right, this one's for you. SPOTIFY SHOW NOTES America is turning 250. And the biggest marketing opportunity of the decade is sitting right in front of every brand on the planet. Most of them are going to waste it. In this episode of The AI Marketing Companion, Sandy Carter sits down with Michael Quinn, 3x LinkedIn Top Voice, Forbes Coaches Council member, and founder of Tenova LLC, to talk about what it actually takes to own a cultural moment like America's 250th. He shared 3 ideas that are simple but not easy! 1. Story Is the Only Strategy That Works Brands are flooding the zone with America 250 content right now. Flags. Fireworks. Slogans. Almost none of it will be remembered by August. Michael has built a following above 360,000 on LinkedIn and a monthly reach beyond two million people by doing one thing differently: starting with a real story, not a campaign brief. The brands that will own this moment are the ones that find a human being at the center of the celebration and let that person speak. Not a tagline. A story with stakes, with heart, with something true at the center of it. 2. Authenticity Is Not a Vibe. It Is a Decision. Every brand wants to feel authentic right now. Very few are willing to make the decisions that create it. In a world where AI can generate unlimited content in seconds, the one thing that cannot be faked is a genuine point of view. That is what audiences are filtering for. That is what earns trust. And trust, Michael says, is the only currency that compounds. 3. The Opportunity in America Is Bigger Than You Think AI is reshaping the economy faster than anyone predicted. A lot of people are scared. Michael sees something different. He sees an opening. America at 250 is not just a birthday. It is a reset point. The brands and individuals who use AI as a tool for human storytelling rather than a replacement for it are going to have an extraordinary advantage in the years ahead. The opportunity is real. The window is open. About Michael Quinn SGM (Ret.) A crowd cheering can feel like love, right up until it wrecks the timing of the act. From a Malmö hotel room while props are being prepped, we dig into a surprisingly deep question: what does a performer owe an audience, and what does an audience unknowingly take away from a performer when they bring their own rhythm into the room? We talk about clapping, pacing, silence, and why comedy and juggling depend on the artist setting the beat. Then we zoom out into the bigger life problem of being a working circus artist. Stepping off the normal career track means you often have to explain yourself, defend your choices, and prove the work is real. We get honest about the economics of performing arts, why circus pricing can be wildly different from music gigs, and how easy it is for “the job” to swallow the joy that made you start in the first place. We also wrestle with the messy overlap between hobby, identity, and profession when your curiosity is also your paycheck. The conversation turns into a practical thought experiment with real creative stakes: if money were no object, what would your artistic practice look like? We land on building a team, carving out time, and designing small theatre experiences where the audience is not anonymous. Along the way we take on the attention economy, algorithm-driven distraction, and the idea that the most radical act today might be a room full of people sharing attention on purpose. If you care about live performance, audience connection, juggling, circus, creative work, or making art inside entertainment, this one goes straight to the core. Most leadership conversations focus on what founders need from their teams. But in this episode of Business on Top, I want to flip the script and talk directly to employees, emerging leaders, and team members who want to grow their careers, increase their impact, and become indispensable within their organizations. One of the most valuable lessons I learned climbing the corporate ladder was this: if you want to be a great leader someday, you first need to learn how to be a great follower. In this episode, I share what I've learned from both sides of the table, as an employee who worked her way into executive leadership and as a founder responsible for leading a growing team. We'll talk about how to create more value for your company, why the most promotable employees focus on growth before compensation, and how developing skills and solving problems ultimately creates greater earning power than simply asking for more. I also pull back the curtain on the realities founders face every day, the decisions, pressures, responsibilities, and unseen challenges that most team members never fully see. My goal is to help you better understand the perspective of your leader while identifying practical ways you can make a bigger impact within your role. If you've ever wondered how to position yourself for greater opportunities, become a stronger leader, or earn more by contributing more, this conversation is for you. And if you're a founder who's realizing that your team needs stronger communication, clearer accountability, and greater leadership capacity to support your next level of growth, I'd love to invite you to join me for our free Strategic Planning Masterclass on July 22 at 4 PM PST. During this live 90-minute training, I'll walk you through the same three-pillar framework we use with our private clients to evaluate business performance, assess team capacity, and identify the leadership shifts required to finish the year strong. You'll leave with greater clarity, stronger priorities, and a practical plan for creating momentum through year-end. Because extraordinary businesses aren't built by leaders doing everything themselves. They're built by teams that know how to grow, think, lead, and solve problems together.
