January 1, 2020 marks a new day, new month, new year, new decade. It is big without the cherry on top of 2020 vision. And when we mark it tends to make us stop and think. And that is where we want good vision. And I don’t think anyone can help us do that better today than Job. Mentioning Job is synonymous with suffering; but we forget, Job’s story begins and ends with him having everything. The bulk of his life was spent in peace, prosperity and happiness. So, who better to help us look back on a good or a bad year?

Every person on the earth has faced or will face adversity. We may not understand why we face adversity, but God walks with us through it. Job learned about adversity. We will glean some wisdom from his adversity.
Guest Speaker
Job spent a long time on the ash dump - the place where the ashes from the cooking and heating in the homes were dumped. Through his three "friends," the young person, Elihu, and the questions from God, this man learned the power and soverignty of God in repentant way. You and I, as Job, must spend our time of the "ash dump" and repent as well. We have put God in our "box!" And, once again, our Lord shows us that He will NOT be contained in our human understand of Holy God! May your heart be encouraged as you listen to this message by our pastor, Dr. Randy Cheek.
