This South Floridian by way of St. Andrews, Jamaica MC re-entered the scene in 2016 after a brief hiatus with an end-to-end burner of an album titled “Bloodclaat”. Tastemakers like DJ Eclipse, DJ Premier helped spread the gospel which ultimately helped tee up Naps new LP with Nottz that dropped this week - “Trouble And A Pair of Dice”. This guy was a real champ - most folks would cancel an interview session if they had the flu & bronchitis - but not Naps! We get the low down on how the new album came to be, how he originally connected with Nottz and his perspective on the game at the moment. We also dig in how Naps came up in this music ish, running in the same circles as Deacon The Villain of Cunninglynguists and when he signed with then fledgling label Freshchest Records - which ultimately led to him working with one of the today’s world renowned mastering engineer Joe Laporta and the legendary Eddie Sancho, who mixed the entire album.
