On this episode of The Mark White Show, we're sharing the story of 8-year-old Atlas, a brave young girl in Kentucky living with Type 1 diabetes, and her mom, Rachel Redwine, who is doing everything she can to keep her safe. Managing type 1 is a constant, around-the-clock responsibility. It doesn't stop at bedtime, and it doesn't take a day off. For Atlas, every day requires awareness, strength, and courage beyond her years. Now, Rachel is working to bring home a diabetic alert dog. A specially trained companion that can detect dangerous blood sugar changes before they become life-threatening, offering Atlas more safety, more independence, and more peace of mind. There's one detail you won't forget. Atlas has already built a crate for her dog. She's waiting. She believes. Sarah is joining me as we talk about how this journey is unfolding and how you can be part of helping Atlas get the support she needs. Listen & share.
This week, the radical reality behind NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani's inner circle and his agenda to financially gut the middle class. Before we even look at his insane proposed 50% "death tax" that will wipe out the generational wealth of everyday families leaving behind just $750,000 to fund bloated, hyper-woke city programs, we have to look at the company he keeps. We break down the disturbing anti-Semitism of his wife, who celebrated the October 7th terror attacks, and his father's extreme anti-Western rhetoric comparing Abraham Lincoln to Adolf Hitler. Then, Jillian tears into Joy Reid's delusional and vicious lie comparing American democracy to the brutal regime in Iran. Finally, we head to the West Coast where Gavin Newsom's administration is officially crashing out under the weight of an epic $434 billion state fraud catastrophe exposed by Nick Shirley and Dr. Oz. California is hemorrhaging taxpayer money. We dig deep into his wife's shady financial dealings - reportedly siphoning $3.7 million from her own transgender “charity” organization. And finally, we expose Newsom's Chief of Staff, Dana Williamson, who is now facing 23 federal counts of fraud including wire fraud, bank fraud, and obstruction of justice.

If your dog goes to heaven, will she see Jesus as a dog? Kaitlyn and Mike explore what the Bible actually says about animals, God's care for creation, and whether the pets we love might be part of the new creation. They tackle why Jesus became human and why that particular, embodied humanity still matters today. The conversation leads to a bigger question many adults quietly assume: is Jesus whoever we want him to be? And what happens when the real Jesus challenges the version we've made in our own image. 0:00 - Theme Song 1:05 - Will Jesus Look Like a Dog to Dogs? 5:04 - God Loves Animals 12:11 - Is Jesus Still Human? 19:00 - Sponsor - Toups and Co Organics - Simplify your routine and feel good about what you put on your skin. Dog trainers are often tasked with helping dogs feel less afraid of things in their daily environments. This can be loud noises, it can be strangers, or it can even be slick floors or novel sights. The well known stimulus-stimulus pairing approach trainers call counter conditioning is not as effective as it has been made out to be, and this complex emotion requires more nuanced planning. Barry Levinson's Wag the Dog Nothing's Changed/Nothing's New and we learned that in 1996 with Barry Levinson's Wag the Dog. As important 30 years later as when it was released, this week Mr. Chavez & I sit down to understand a film that predicted its own time (being released a few weeks before The Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky White House Scandal would break), but is also a simpler and almost quaint version of Epstein, Donald Trump, and Ol' Billy Jeff returning to relevance. A Sex Scandal covered up by a Manufactured War, revealing the spin doctoring and propaganda that fuels every election, Wag the Dog is the rare film that grows bolder and more prescient as years pass and facts fight to be discovered. Featuring great performances from Robert DeNiro, Dustin Hoffman (hilarious, exaggerated, and on point), and a supporting cast including Anne Heche, Willie Nelson, Denis Leary, William H. Macy, and a ridiculously unhinged Woody Harrelson, Wag the Dog has volumes to say about our government, The White House, political parties, and the lying, cheating bastards that run the machine. Take a listen for a fun and enlightening conversation. As always, we can be reached at gondoramos@yahoo.com - Many, Many Thanks. Does your dog erupt into barking chaos every time the doorbell rings? You're not alone. For many households, the sound of the doorbell instantly turns calm into confusion. In this episode of Dog Works Radio, Michele Forto explains why dogs react so strongly to the doorbell and how owners can turn that moment of excitement into a predictable and calm routine. Instead of trying to suppress barking, effective training gives dogs a clear role and a structured response when someone arrives at the door. You will learn why doorbell barking happens, how practicing the scenario in controlled training sessions can change the pattern, and why teaching a "place" behavior can transform chaos into calm. With consistency and the right approach, your dog can learn exactly what to do when the doorbell rings. On January 2, 2000, eighteen-year-old Zebb Quinn finished his shift at Walmart in Ashville, North Carolina and set off to look at a used car with his co-worker, Jason Owens. Halfway to their destination, Zebb told Jason he received an important call on his pager and needed to return the call immediately and they would have to postpone their plans to look at the car. That was the last time anyone saw Zebb Quinn. For weeks, Zebb's family and the Ashville police searched for the teenager, but it was as though he had disappeared into thin air. Then, to everyone's surprise, Zebb's car was found in a parking lot not far from the hospital where his mother and sister worked, as though someone had left it in a conspicuous place where it would be found. But more surprising than the discovery of the car itself was the incredibly strange and unexpected evidence found inside the vehicle, including several markings on the windows in red lipstick and a live black labrador puppy. Have you heard the phrase: "they fight like cats and dogs"? Well, this episode will show us exactly what that idiom means. It all started in the backyard with Melodybee and a very large harvest of loofah sponges. Our sweet Harold was just trying to be a helpful pup by answering the door with his special bionic thumbs, but—oh dear—a little accident turned into a big mystery in Mr. Honeybee's Garage! While Roger Robot works on a "durability upgrade," a mysterious new neighbor with sleek black fur and striking green eyes has snuck into the neighborhood. Is she the "wolf-bear" Melodybee is so excited to find? Or is she the reason Harold is suddenly acting so... incensed?Pack your curiosity and join us as we practice our mindful breathing and listen to our "quick thoughts" to solve this neighborhood puzzle. We'll follow the trail from the garden shed to the kitchen counters to see if a grumpy dog and a mischievous cat can ever truly find a way to share the Honeybee Neighborhood.
Hypnosis for Dog Handlers: Calm Your Mind, Free Your Dog In this fascinating episode, host Laura Reeves welcomes Radek Blažo, a dog show enthusiast and certified hypnotherapist from Slovakia, whose two passions — purebred dogs and cognitive behavioral hypnotherapy — have collided in a surprisingly powerful way. Radek's dog journey began at age 15 in Slovakia, when his father took him to visit breeders and he fell in love with Lhasa Apsos. He eventually traveled to Italy to learn the craft of handling and later came to the United States, where mentors like Melissa Pepke and professional handler Barbara Beisel shaped his understanding of the sport. He now works with Tibetan Terriers alongside close friends while maintaining deep roots in the Lhasa community. After a career pivot into journalism and then into cognitive behavioral hypnotherapy — which he studied through a college in the UK — Radek had a lightbulb moment at a dog show. Watching a clearly skilled handler fall apart in the breed ring, with her anxiety visibly transferring to her dog, he realized he could bridge his two worlds. The science backs him up. Research from the University of Bristol confirms that dogs can detect human emotions through scent and actually change their behavior in response to stress, fear or sadness. As Radek puts it, you can fake a smile but you can't fake your hormones — dogs smell adrenaline, sweat, and the full cocktail of anxiety whether you want them to or not. The result is a feedback loop Laura aptly calls a "death spiral": the handler gets nervous, the dog reacts, the handler gets more nervous and so on. Radek's online course addresses this from multiple angles. He begins by teaching the psychology behind show-day triggers — being judged, time pressure, negative self-talk — and walks students through breathing techniques and cognitive tools to interrupt anxious thought patterns. Hypnosis then provides a practice environment where handlers can mentally rehearse calm, focused performances far more often than real show weekends allow. Laura shares her own story of showing Spinone Italiano Adele at Madison Square Garden, describing the intense mental focus required to hold her sensitive dog together in that overwhelming environment — and how it worked. Radek connects this directly to the tunnel-vision technique he teaches in his course. His program is available online and accessible worldwide, making it a resource for owner-handlers everywhere who know what to do in the ring but struggle to do it when it counts. Whether you're a nervous novice or a seasoned exhibitor who still gets the jitters, this episode offers a genuinely new lens on one of the sport's most common — and least-discussed — challenges.
In a move carrying significant legal weight, Kouri Richins' defense team rested without calling a single witness — concluding three weeks of prosecution testimony in a first-degree murder case built entirely on circumstantial evidence. Former FBI behavioral analyst Robin Dreeke joins Tony Brueski for a listener Q&A examining the evidentiary landscape the jury is now tasked with assessing. From a procedural standpoint, the defense's silence forces jurors to evaluate the prosecution's case on its own terms. That case rests on interconnected pillars: an extensive financial picture — accounts reportedly in the red, failed real estate transactions, outstanding loans — uncontested opportunity evidence, and Carmen Lauber's testimony, which represents the closest thing this case has to a direct statement from Richins about her intentions.Lauber's testimony came with a serious legal complication. A detective allegedly told her she needed to provide "details that ensure Kouri gets convicted." That statement, if accurately reported, represents a significant problem for the prosecution's most important witness — and Dreeke examines how jurors are likely to weigh that disclosure against everything else Lauber put on the record. The defense also left documented evidentiary gaps in the record: cocktail mugs never forensically tested, no warrant executed for a key family member's phone, an uninvestigated report that Eric sought fentanyl from an alternate source. Under reasonable doubt standards, those aren't rhetorical flourishes — they're unresolved evidentiary questions. Dreeke addresses whether they're likely to carry weight in deliberations. The "Walk the Dog" letter — Richins' alleged jail correspondence coaching family members on what to tell investigators — anchors the prosecution's consciousness-of-guilt argument. Dreeke examines what that document does once it's inside a deliberation room.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
Three weeks of testimony. A letter written from jail. A witness whose testimony arrived pre-damaged. And then the defense sat down without calling a single person to the stand. The Kouri Richins murder trial just hit its most consequential moment — and former FBI behavioral analyst Robin Dreeke joins Tony Brueski to dig into what the prosecution actually built, what the defense failed to dismantle, and what twelve jurors are now sitting with in that room. The "Walk the Dog" letter is the prosecution's most chilling document. Written while Richins was awaiting trial, she allegedly directed family members on what narrative to hand investigators. Dreeke examines what that coordinated deception effort — executed from a jail cell — reveals about someone's behavioral state and decision-making, and why it's extraordinarily difficult to walk back in a jury room.Carmen Lauber's testimony was central to the prosecution's case, but it carried complications. Eric Richins' obituary was reportedly pinned to Lauber's mirror. And a detective allegedly told her she needed to deliver "details that ensure Kouri gets convicted." Dreeke examines how those two facts — one deeply personal, one deeply problematic — interact when jurors try to assess what she actually knew and when she knew it.The investigation had documented gaps: cocktail mugs never tested for fentanyl residue, no warrant executed for a key family member's phone, and an uninvestigated report involving a man who allegedly told investigators Eric sought fentanyl from another source. None closed. The question is whether a jury carrying this much circumstantial weight will let those threads do the work the defense needed them to do.One underreported detail: Eric's trust reportedly left his estate to his sister rather than Kouri. She allegedly learned this after his death. That addition to the financial motive picture darkens what prosecutors had already been building for weeks.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Send a textSeventy thousand digits of pi is impressive, but the number that stuck with us is much scarier: about one in four high school students now reports sleeping five hours or less. We dig into the latest teen sleep deprivation data, what it means for learning, mental health, and emotional regulation, and why “just go to bed earlier” ignores adolescent circadian rhythm biology. When melatonin shifts later during puberty, early school start times can become a daily clash between the clock and the teen brain. From there we head outdoors for pet science, exploring dog sledding and mushing through a surprising lens. A survey-based study from the Czech Republic frames mushing as a human-dog partnership shaped by empathy, ecology, and even spirituality. We connect those ideas to the Iditarod, its roots in the 1925 serum run, the extreme athletic demands placed on sled dogs, and the real ethical questions that come with a dangerous sport people feel deeply about. Our Ask An Expert guest is Dr. Alex Dainis, a geneticist and science communicator who makes biochemistry unforgettable by taste testing amino acids, the building blocks of proteins. We talk sweet glycine, candy-like lysine, sulfur-packed cysteine, and why showing the process of science matters as much as the results. Alex also shares how ACS Reactions builds curiosity by running experiments where nobody knows the outcome at the start, plus her strongest argument for using honest uncertainty in science communication. If you like science news, practical context, and a few weird facts you'll repeat to your friends, hit play.
