The problems in Minneapolis are created by leaders that are more than willing to sacrifice their own voters going to prison, getting injured or in extreme cases of attacking federal agents, getting killed. How is it that democrats break the law and act like those laws shouldn't be followed... and somehow that inspires people? This whole thing is insane. Maybe not as insane as the man that climbed a skyscraper with no ropes or safety devices, live on Netflix. Wow was this hard to watch. KU closes strong to beat a really awful KSU team as we predicted they would. But the huge celebration was a little beneath their once great status. Mizzou made history with a pair of buzzer beaters in a wild win over OU. Two former high school athletes from KC made huge news with the best game by a college player this year while the other make the Olympic bobsled team. And Stan has a few minutes for us today to talk about Andy Reid's coaching hires and the NFL Championship games from Sunday.
We roll right into the second hour as Tobin tries to figure out why candidates keep turning down the Cleveland Browns head coaching job. That discussion quickly spirals out of control and turns into a hypothetical scenario where Leroy becomes the next Browns head coach, sending the silly sauce overflowing. The hour wraps up with one of our favorite Monday games, as Leroy hands out his Game Balls and Game Bums from the weekend.

Cattitude - Cat podcast about cats as pets on Pet Life Radio (PetLifeRadio.com)
In Part 2 of Cattitude's special two-part series on the Cats of New York City, host Michelle Fern welcomes Peggy Gavan and Daniel Rimada, co-founders of Cats About Town Tours—the city's first walking tours dedicated to feline history, lore, and legendary local kitties. Discover how their tours weave “mini history lessons” with unforgettable cat stories across Brooklyn Heights, the Lower East Side, and the Financial District—featuring iconic felines like Jerry Fox (the blind cat who helped save Brooklyn Borough Hall), Nicodemus (a star of the first national cat show at Madison Square Garden), and Mutilator (the famous newspaper cat of The New York Sun). Then the conversation turns to the beloved—and sometimes controversial—bodega cats: what they are, why they matter, the myths people get wrong, and how a community-driven movement may help improve standards of care (and even influence legislation). If you love cats, city history, or both, this episode is a purr-fect NYC adventure—no subway fare required.EPISODE NOTES: Cats About Town: NYC's Secret Feline HistoryBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/cattitude-the-1-cat-podcast--6666768/support.

What happens when an average guy suddenly inherits a global villain empire? Not metaphorically. Not “my boss is evil.”Actual secret lairs, corporate espionage, assassination attempts… and sentient cats who absolutely know more than they're telling.Today, I'm giving a spoiler-lite review of Starter Villain, a fast, hilarious, and surprisingly sharp novel from John Scalzi that blends spy-craft, corporate satire, and absurdist humor into one wildly entertaining package. In this episode, I cover:• Why the premise works far better than it has any right to• How Scalzi turns villainy into a workplace comedy• Why the cats are a genuine highlight (and mildly terrifying)• What kind of reader will love this book—and who might not• Why this was the perfect read right before the new Dresden Files novel droppedI was laughing out loud again and again, and this one instantly pushed more Scalzi books higher up my TBR.Have you read Starter Villain yet?Are you team “Never Trust the Cats”?Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
Cats are highly sensitive, energetic beings, and the colors they're surrounded by can influence their emotional and physical well-being more than most cat parents realize. In this episode, we're joined by Lora Lee Medley, certified Holistic Cat Practitioner, animal communicator, Reiki practitioner, cat chakra specialist, herbalist for animals, and crystal healing practitioner. Lora Lee's path into holistic feline care began through supporting her own cats through serious health challenges, leading her to develop a unique approach that works with cats on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.Today, we focus on color therapy for cats and how different colors interact with a cat's energy system, how color can help release stuck emotional energy, support healing, and restore balance, and simple ways cat parents can begin using color intentionally in their homes.Don't miss this one!Moon Mojo Feline: https://www.moonmojofeline.com/
Happy New Year, Indieventurers, welcome to 2026! What's new, what's good? Well that's what we're here to tell you of course! Last year may have been a bit of a washout for AAAs, but the indie game scene is still going strong, despite the many obstacles presented by the modern games industry and… our contemporary world in general. Happily, this year looks set to continue the indie gem trend; even though the calendar is so far looking pretty empty of firm release dates as every game developer and their mum attempts to edge away from the all-consuming spectre of GTA6, there's already plenty on the horizon for us to get excited about all the same. Join us as we evangelise on our upcoming highlights (plus way more bonus honourable mentions than we'd planned) including, in no particular order (just kidding I'm alphabetising them like always): Beware of the Cartographer, Cairn, Denshattack!, Dosa Divas, Find Your Words, Hellmart, inKONBINI, Mandrake, Masters of Albion, The Mermaid Mask, Mixtape, Moonlight Peaks, Orbitals, Paralives, Peace Island, Penguin Colony, A Planet Full of Cats, Raccoin: Coin Pusher Roguelike, ReAnimal, Roman Sands RE:Build, Servant of the Lake, Starsand Island, and – maybe the best-named game ever – Virtue and a Sledgehammer. Our first hyperfixations of the year are here too, and you may not be surprised to learn that over the Christmas break Rachel has been enjoying the latest series of The Traitors, while Liam has been equally diverted by the surprisingly excellent Scooby-Doo licensed DLC for House Flipper 2. Rebecca, meanwhile, thinks that 2026 may have peaked already as far as AAA gaming goes with the release of Heartopia – an Animal Crossing inspired "slow life sim" that somehow also encompasses all of the other trends she's associated with (a mobile live-service game possessed of the world's most useless and forgettable gacha). Also, if you ever read a novel called The Mouse Butcher, can you please let Rebecca know? It'd be a great opportunity to head on over to our Discord if you haven't already, just saying. Our music was written and performed by Ollie Newbury! Find him on Instagram at @newbsmusic. Meanwhile, you can find us at indieventurepodcast.co.uk or wherever you listen to podcasts. Don't forget that you can now join our dedicated Discord too, and be sure to check out our new Steam Curator page if you simply still can't get enough of us!

“What do you do when your family pet accidentally burns down your kitchen?”That's the jaw‑dropping question that kicks off today's hilariously chaotic edition of The Ben & Skin Show, featuring the full squad: Ben Rogers, Jeff “Skin” Wade, Kevin “KT” Turner, and Krystina Ray.This episode dives into a real‑life Garland catastrophe — a cat who literally jumped onto a stove, turned on the burner with its paw, and set the entire kitchen on fire. The hosts break down the surveillance footage moment‑by‑moment, including the instant the cat's paw taps the knob and the pot—possibly full of mac and cheese—ignites into a fireball.
What if the most ordinary creatures in your home… weren't ordinary at all?In this episode of Fantasy for the Ages, Jim dives into the graphic novel retelling of The Cats of Ulthar, written by Bruce Brown—an atmospheric, beautifully crafted adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's classic short story.Lovecraft was famous for twisting everyday reality into something cosmically unsettling, and The Cats of Ulthar may be one of his most quietly disturbing tales. This graphic novel breathes new life into that century-old story, pairing eerie moral justice with striking artwork and a tone that feels both timeless and fresh. We'll talk about:• How this adaptation honors Lovecraft while making the story accessible• Why the artwork, lettering, and overall production quality stand out• The unsettling idea that cats may be more aware—and more powerful—than we give them credit for• Who this graphic novel is perfect for… and who might want to pass⚠️ Spoiler-lite discussion only ⚠️If you enjoy horror-tinged fantasy, Lovecraftian vibes, and graphic novels that linger in your mind after you've closed the cover, this one's worth your time.
"The ultimate goal is to make cat welfare and population management so normal, so embedded in our communities, that it's simply what a community does." This episode is sponsored-in-part by Maddie's Fund, The Animal Rights Foundation, and The Underfoot Podcast. In this insightful follow-up to episode 605, Stacy LeBaron welcomes back global animal welfare strategist Harry Eckman, who shares groundbreaking findings from an ambitious five-country research initiative on cat population management. Funded by the Bates Global Enablers Grant and spearheaded by International Cat Care, the project explores the cat welfare landscapes of Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Australia, and the UK—identifying challenges, public perceptions, and innovative strategies tailored to each country. Harry delves into what makes this research unique: over 120 in-depth stakeholder interviews, public opinion surveys, and detailed country reports culminating in two critical resources—a foundational 18-month strategy and a visionary 10-year framework. With an upstream-thinking approach, he emphasizes aligning communities, funders, and policymakers under shared goals, whether on a city block or a national level. From addressing cat stigmatization in Australia to proposing a model project in Cyprus, Harry's holistic, data-driven approach provides a roadmap for turning compassion into coordinated, sustainable action. Whether you're managing a colony or planning municipal policies, this episode will inspire you to think bigger—and upstream—about community cat care. From starting in a New York agency mailroom to the heart of Laurel Canyon's hippie-rock scene, David Geffen rubbed shoulders with almost every major cultural figure of the 20th century. Joni Mitchel wrote a song about him, and Cher dated him. Then he moved from the music industry to movies, founding DreamWorks with Steven Spielberg and building one of the world's most valuable art collections. Good Bad Billionaire is the podcast that explores the lives of the super-rich and famous, tracking their wealth, philanthropy, business ethics and success. There are leaders who made their money in Silicon Valley, on Wall Street and in high street fashion. From iconic celebrities and CEOs to titans of technology, the podcast unravels tales of fortune, power, economics, ambition and moral responsibility. Simon and Zing put their subjects to the test with a playful, totally unscientific scorecard — then hand the verdict over to you: are they good, bad, or simply billionaires? Did the 'Cats save their season with a pair of come--from-behind wins last week? And is Florida now the team to beat in the league? From the mighty SEC to the Big 12, B1G, ACC, and much more...the guys touch on everything you probably missed from the weekend because you were locked in on NFL playoffs and God knows what else. Lock in with the fellas because college football season is over, folks. Indiana is about to B2A in South Florida tonight, time to get your mind right on the college hoops and we got you covered here on CSNSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Patrick delves deep into life's biggest regrets as shared by hundreds of patients on their deathbeds. From wishing they'd stay in touch with friends to not working so hard, the lessons learned are both profound and universal. Remember to live in the moment, cherish your loved ones, and let go of unnecessary worries. Patrick shares a story of someone who asked 100s of elderly people the biggest regrets they had on their deathbeds (00:54) Patrick and Cyrus on the importance of living in the present and cherishing every moment with loved ones. Karen - End of Life: Be present at all times to everyone. I was more present to my husband, and it made the world of difference. He passed away a few years later and I was thankful I could love him well before the end. (19:43) Jim - My kids are in their 30s and 40s and I still tell them I love them. I'd like to share a story basically a rip off of Cats in the Cradle called Father and Son. (25:04) Marta - I have an aunt who I was estranged from. She is now bedridden. Can she receive the Anointing of the Sick even though she is using marijuana edibles? Patrick shares a personal story of regret and not saying something he should have (36:08) Marie - When I was in college, I had this need to hear the words “I love you” from my parents. I would call them every week and would always be afraid to say I love you. Eventually I built up courage, and it really transformed our relationship. As children, we can initiate that with our parents. Gabby - I lost my wife a few years ago unexpectedly. I could see her growing in her faith a few years before she died. We have some special needs kids, and I could not handle taking care of them without the support of my daughter. Originally aired on 05/17/24
