This week on The Mama's Den, we're joined by the radiant Simone I. Smith — jewelry designer, mother of four, grandmother of four, devoted wife to LL Cool J, and a true embodiment of sisterhood.Simone is the definition of a girl's girl: a woman whose brand and spirit are rooted in community, friendship, and showing up for other women. From her signature hoop designs under Simone I. Smith Jewelry to the wisdom she carries as a cancer survivor, Simone's story is one of resilience, grace, and deep faith. In this conversation, we talk about God's timing, trusting the seasons of motherhood, and learning to lean into the kind of mom you truly are — not the one you think you're supposed to be. Simone shares what it means to build a life grounded in love, purpose, and sisterhood, and why every chapter unfolds exactly when it's meant to.This episode is a reminder that motherhood isn't one-size-fits-all… and that sometimes, the greatest strength comes from embracing your own journey — right on time.Make sure you connect with our Mamas on IG: @themamasdenpodcastAshley - @watermeloneggrollsCodie - @codieco Melanie - @melaniefiona Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Godfrey is joined by Rachel K Fraser, Akeem Woods, Vishnu Vaka, and Dante Nero. Godfrey breaks down comedy, respect for craft, real reps, no shortcuts, and no pretending everyone's equal. They talk about culture, insults across communities, internet behavior, fame, selling out theaters, and why stand-up isn't as “subjective” as people claim. There's a lot of humor, but it's rooted in experience and time in the game. Some records don't belong to one lane. Hip hop attitude stays present while house drums keep things moving, with crossover pressure running the whole set. Kendrick and Drake light the spark, Bad Bunny cuts through with restless energy, and Fergie brings late night familiarity that keeps the floor alert without ever settling. This is a mix built on overlap, not arrival. Welcome to the newest installment, Exhibit B. A Hip Hop episode showcasing some of my favorite records in my collection as well as some new pickups and first time plays on the podcast. Niche finds like Dem Franchise Boyz and Chamillionaire really get me all kinds of fired up. Insider information, I saw a cheap copy of Suffocate by J Holiday on vinyl recently and best believe that will be here soon. Not a single individual is interested, but for the last two weeks I've been amassing a Pokemon card collection that could stop traffic. Yes I am a 33 year old man but it's not creepy at all because I opened first edition, base, jungle, fossil and team rocket packs myself in real time in the 90's at the KB Toys in Berkeley Mall so don't tell me what I can and can't do with Pokemon cards. It's in fact, genuinely wholesome that I took the time and effort to build my childhood collection back to something admirable. I will say this. If I still had my childhood collection in good condition I could purchase a home outright and own a business from Pokemon profit. It's not quite to that level yet, but this Gengar and Mewtwo are siiiiiiiiick. Thank you for being here and enduring my nonsense. Stay warm and I'll be here next time Your host with the most,Trill Murray

In this powerful and wide-ranging episode of Gracias, Come Again, we sit down with DJ Tony Touch, legendary DJ, producer, artist, mixtape pioneer, and one of the most influential cultural figures in Hip-Hop history. Tony Touch takes us back to his upbringing in Brooklyn, New York, sharing how his Puerto Rican roots and musical household shaped his destiny. Raised in a family of musicians, with a grandfather and father who played music and a mother who sang, Tony explains how music was always in his DNA. We explore Tony Touch’s role as a firsthand witness to the birth of Hip-Hop AND reggaeton and how he has remained present and impactful decade after decade, building a global legacy while staying grounded in community. Going beyond the music, Tony speaks candidly about his private life, sharing that he is both a father and a grandfather, while explaining why he chooses to keep much of his personal life out of the spotlight. He discusses growing up in a religious home, how faith and God have always guided his journey, and how he attributes his success, longevity, and purpose to his spiritual foundation. The conversation also dives into Boricuas in Hip-Hop, Tony’s groundbreaking ReggaeTony era, and his work with icons like Tego Calderón & Ivy Queen. Tony reflects on being a crucial bridge when reggaeton traveled from Puerto Rico to New York, and how he helped introduce the sound to the Spanglish and Latino communities across the United States. We also get his thoughts on Bad Bunny’s upcoming Super Bowl performance, his cultural impact, and what his success represents for Latino music on the global stage. Tony closes the episode by sharing his vision for 2026 and graciously accepting his flowers as a true hip-hop legend whose influence continues to shape generations. In 2025, rapper and producer Sean "Diddy" Combs was convicted on two counts of transportation for prostitution in a trial that captured the attention of the nation. But while Combs was acquitted of the more serious charges leveled against him, more people have come forward to share their experiences with the controversial figure. The new documentary series "Sean Combs: The Reckoning" provides an in-depth look at the life and career of Combs, going back to his roots in Harlem, his role in the East Coast/West Coast rap battles of the 1990s, and his alleged abuse of women throughout his life. Director Alexandria Stapleton discusses the documentary, which is available to stream now on Netflix.

On this episode of the MalloryBros Podcast, the Bros start with J. Cole's album announcement and his new track “The Inevitable,” setting expectations for what's coming next. That conversation naturally opens the door to a real debate about the Big 3 in Hip Hop — whether that label still holds weight or if the culture has already moved on. From there, the Bros talk about Kai Cenat's recent viral moments online, discussing how quickly public perception can shift and how easily narratives and morals change once the coast is clear. The conversation touches on intent, criticism, and the reality of being under constant public scrutiny. The episode also dives into Druski's viral church skit, questioning where the line is in comedy and whether his success has put him in a different category than his peers. The Bros discuss his style, his influence, and what separates him from the rest of the comedy space right now. Terrell presses Terrance on his thoughts about Trae Young and the Washington Wizards, before the conversation takes a lighter turn into video game soundtrack nostalgia and how certain music instantly brings you back. Later, the Bros talk about a viral social media breakup, the role online attention plays in relationships, and how public perception can outweigh real-life context. They also touch on a more serious topic involving a missing spouse, before closing the episode with NFL playoff reactions and their AFC and NFC Championship picks.
Hip-hop has always been competitive — but lately the beef feels louder than the music. In this solo Ern episode, I break down the recent tensions surrounding Jim Jones, Dipset, 50 Cent, and Papoose, and use it as a jumping-off point to talk about something deeper:how hip-hop rivalry works, why we give grace outside the culture but not inside it, and the role fans play in shaping what hip-hop has become. We talk about why people say certain artists “don't have to respond” because they're rich, executives, or successful in TV — and whether that logic even belongs in hip-hop.I also dig into the uncomfortable truth: fans are selfish with the culture. We decide who's allowed in, who's respected, and who gets ignored — all while rarely contributing to the wealth of hip-hop ourselves. This episode isn't about picking sides. It's about ownership, competition, ego, and accountability — from artists and fans.
In this episode, Danny Hip Hop Conversations dives into the Grammy nominations, focusing on the rap categories. Hosts Danny and J Red discuss the nominees, sharing their thoughts on the contenders and favorites. They break down the Best Rap Performance, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year categories, debating who might take home the awards. With a mix of humor and insight, they weigh in on the impact of the Grammys on the hip-hop community and the potential implications of a Kendrick Lamar clean sweep.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
