It's so important not to forget the importance of properly feeding and fueling your body. Stick with natural foods and avoid processed foods. A good rule of thumb is to avoid anything that comes in a box or a bag. Stick to the perimeter of the grocery store and avoid going down the aisles and for the most part, you'll be good. There is power in putting this mental exercise into practice, but like anything else, consistency is key.
Speaking positive affirmations first thing in the morning can help you to get into a positive frame of mind first thing in the morning. Speaking them again in the evening right before bed can help to neutralize any negativity you may have encountered during the day so you can sleep and dream peacefully. Something to keep in mind when exercising, especially when doing body weight training, is that as your volume and intensity increases, so will your appetite. I go over whether or not you should increase your caloric intake (all depends on your goals) and what to do to help curb your appetite if needed. Today, my energy and motivation were lacking... things didn't go as I'd hoped or planned and I ALMOST allowed myself to skip my workout. I had a real fight with myself, but I remembered the 10-minute rule and committed to getting MINIMUM 10 minutes of exercise done today. When all was said and done, I kicked my own ass for over 45 minutes.
