Here is Xavier's recording of "Blue Shift".
Violinist Andy Troska (13) and guitarist Xavier Jara (14) played Paganini's "Centone di Sonate for Violin and Guitar, Op. 64, No. 1" at The House of Mercy in St. Paul in May. They also played at the Open Stage and qualified to play the piece at the Youth Guitarathon at the University of Minnesota.
Dad and I went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Bishop one weekend at the old house in West Concord. As I remember, Grandpa was watching baseball on t.v. and Grandma was writing a column for the local newspaper. As it turns out, we ended up in the newspaper simply because we had visited them that weekend! This is a great recording because it captures exactly the way Grandma (Alma) used to talk, at least the way I remember her. Also, the latter part of the recording includes some of Grandpa's great TALL TALES!
When we attended Stine's birthday (1972?) Becky was unable to attend because she was sick, so, everyone left her a message on my tape recorder. The following is a song that Ann Lee sang.
The following recording is of Becky when she was around 5 years old from Christmas, 1973. Notice at the end of the recording she refers to her cousin Dave and his new girlfriend. Also: Bishop Family Recordings is on iTunes. You can look for it under podcasts.
This is an interview by Ahna with Harris Lee in 1976 or thereabouts. The photo is also from 1976 during a fishing trip to Canada.
This is a famous family argument that continues to this day. It was recorded Christmas, 1973.
