Esther is an athlete who embraces variety in her routine, with everything from cross fit to weight lifting, jiu jitsu and even running. As a teenager Esther enrolled in military school which established structure and discipline that has carried on throughout her life. Being the General Manager of NeoWell, Esther is able to apply her passion for helping others live a healthier life. She just completed the BodyBright course herself and discusses the shifts she is making in her life as a result of the course.

In addition to all of her family & school activities, Maddy happens to be Deanna's Niece! Maddy gives a unique perspective on health and the responsibilities of life for someone in high school. From having to make weight for a power lifting competition to navigating peer pressure and watching friends go down dark roads...and the ultimate question: “what do you want to do when you grow up?”

On this week's episode, Kris DeFoer, a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, joins Host Deanna Meyer to talk about why she chose to pursue a career centered around nutrition. Kris explains that she didn't always make good nutrition a priority in her own life and how, after a few health issues, she embraced nutrition as a solution and reaped the benefits of doing so. Kris now helps people understand their own bio-individuality as it relates to food and guides them on their own path to better health through nutrition.

This week, Alicia Bush joins host Deanna Meyer in studio to discuss being an author, and the Founder & CEO of Treasured Vessels Foundation. After leaving a successful career as a medical device sales representative, she actively pursued her calling and decided to build a secure community for minors and youth who have been recovered from sex trafficking and sexual exploitation. Alicia shares her journey of discovery in starting Treasured Vessels Foundation and some lessons she learned about making her health a priority in the midst of a demanding schedule.

Kates's life was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with a very fast moving form of breast cancer. As she states on her Facebook page 'Cancer Porn and Other Life Events', "cancer is a family disease. May 3, 2018 our lives changed. This is the good, the bad and the ugly." Kate has poured out her heart and journaled her experiences in video, writing and pictures as she navigates her emotions, doctors appointments, 5 surgeries and more. This week, Host Deanna Meyer is joined by Sarah O’Connell...hair stylist by day and jiu jitsu athlete by night. Sarah shares how, starting at the age of 9, jiu jitsu has given her confidence, physically & mentally, and how having the specific skills jiu jitsu provides has empowered her in ways other sports may not have. Sarah also discuss the difficulty in being uprooted to another city and how she navigated her "quarter life crisis" as she calls it; restarting her business, making friends, trying to stay in shape and eat well, etc. Deanna and Sarah talk about the impact her quarter life crisis had on her health and the discipline it took to get back on track when she decided to finally reestablish her health as a top priority. She also talks candidly about the effort it took to shed the unwanted weight that accompanied her quarter life crisis and what her attitude and approach was to this all too common problem.

In this week's episode, Leslie Mashburn-Lugo, a College Planning and Placement Strategist who supports the overall college and graduate school application process, joins Deanna in studio to share her personal journey in health and life. Leslie discusses finding her way through different life struggles and adversity to make health a priority. Leslie & her husband Cesar have recently embarked on a new adventure in life with their son, Santiago who was born with a rare genetic anomaly called bilateral anophthalmia, rendering him blind at birth. Leslie describes being faced with the unexpected challenges associated with raising a sightless child, and how she and her husband are often reminded that by including a spiritual approach, anything scary and overwhelming can turn on a dime and produce great joy and contentment.

In this episode, Jenny Kell joins Deanna in studio to discuss her belief in the body’s innate capacity to heal itself. Jenny shares her own very personal and moving story of years of dealing with chronic pain that eventually led to an autoimmune diagnosis and how (through much research and contemplation), she decided to have her breast implants removed and ultimately found relief through gentle movements, yoga, and gradual strength training. For the past 20 years as an Occupational Therapist, Jenny has been working with cancer patients and survivors, those suffering from neurological and chronic pain disorders, and the geriatric population to help them get back on their feet and moving. Deanna and Jenny discuss these topics and more in this informative episode.

Brandi joins Deanna in studio to discuss her own struggles with disorders & addictions and how her experiences have driven her to help others find their inner strength and healing.
