After a summer hiatus, Amy and Erika are back for season 2! In this episode they chat about highlights from the summer and Minnesota authors like F Scott Fitzgerald, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Garrison Keillor and more.

This week on the show Amy and Erika talk about some of their favorite "beach reads," which are no surprise if you've been listening to the show for any amount of time. They also delve into the topic of books being made into movies or shows, and the very controversial issue of seeing animals as either all male or all female.

Join Amy and Erika as they talk about what's happening in Minneapolis in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd. They share about books they have read regarding systemic racism, the history of injustice in our country and stories from people of color that need to be heard.

This week we are joined by author Marty S Dalton who shared about his most-recent publication, "The Brightest." Marty also shares about some of his favorites books with us and gives us the inside scoop on self-publishing.
