Educated ears in the summer of 1957 were still trying to decide if this new rock 'n' roll thing was really music's future or was just a passing fancy. Two summers had passed by then since the new sound burst upon the American scene. The ear-opening “Rock Around the Clock” by Bill Haley & His Comets was quickly followed by Chuck Berry's “Maybellene” and Little Richard's “”Tutti Frutti.”The following summer the rock kept rolling, when The King arrived. This new kid, Elvis Presley, topped the charts for weeks on end with “Heartbreak Hotel,” with “Hound Dog,” with “Don't Be Cruel.”But by 1957, the cigar-chomping bigwigs in the record company boardrooms still weren't sure. Not sure sure, you understand. The Summer DoldrumsAfter all, traditional pop crooners seemed to be staging a comeback. Perry Como (of all people!) hit No. 1 with “Round and Round.” Pat Boone scored with the languid “Love Letters in the Sand.” Debby Reynolds had a hit with “Tammy.” Holy schlock, Batman, even Elvis seemed to be getting goo-goo eyed all of a sudden with “(Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear.”So, the question in ‘57: where were summertime's rebels? That year the cool kids had already packed up their beach towel and gone on back to school by the time rock's Next Big Wave hit:— Sept. 9, 1957, Buddy Holly and The Cricket, “That'll Be the Day.”— Oct. 11, 1957, Everly Brothers, “Wake Up Little Susie.”— Oct. 21, 1957, Elvis, “Jailhouse Rock.”— Dec. 21, 1957, Danny and the Juniors, “At the Hop.”But even before that fall, diehards could dig a little deeper in the radio playlist for up-and-coming rockers. Jerry Lee Lewis was howling away with “A Whole Lot of Shakin'.” Fats Domino was still down there somewhere with “I'm Walkin'.” Jackie Wilson was right on deck with “Reet Petite.”About This Week's SongAnd languishing even further down on the summer music charts — oh, somewhere around No. 24 or so — was the subject of this week's podcast. It's The Flood's favorite souvenir from the Summer of ‘57: The Coasters' wonderful “(When She Wants Good Lovin') My Baby Comes to Me.”As reported here earlier, this winking and nodding Jerry Leiber-Mike Stoller composition was a minor hit for The Coasters. It did resurrect nine years later when a little known group called The Chicago Loop took it for a spin and got to No. 37 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. But in the Floodisphere, we much prefer a different pressing of the song released one year earlier. Favorite folksinger Tom Rush's 1965 self-titled debut Elektra album included a version of the tune accompanied by bassist Bill Lee along with John Sebastian (of The Lovin' Spoonful) and Fritz Richmond (of The Jim Kweskin Jug Band.)This track, captured at last week's rehearsal, features the arrangement we're working up to include on the new album when we start recording in the weeks ahead. Send us a textEducated by Tara Westover is one of those books which has really stayed with me since I first read it back in 2018. It's also a book that I just assumed when I started this podcast that somebody would approach me and want to talk about. It feels astonishing that we've got as far as season 11 before anybody has asked to come on and discuss it. I'm glad I waited, though, because I've thoroughly loved my conversation with Syba Sunny today about the book and about some of the themes. We think about acceptance. We think about education. We think about self-motivation in learning. The ideas of hiding in plain sight. What is safeguarding? What is not safeguarding? And how do you norm reference a family? It's a brilliant book, and I've really enjoyed thinking about it.

Japan's Top Business Interviews Podcast By Dale Carnegie Training Tokyo, Japan
"Care and respect aren't slogans; they're operating principles that shape decisions and client experiences". "Lead by approachability, using nemawashi-style one-to-ones to draw out quieter voices and better ideas". "Calm, clarity, and consistency beat volume; emotion never gets to outrank the message". "Consensus isn't passivity—done well, it's disciplined alignment that accelerates execution". "Confidence grows by doubling down on strengths, seeking honest feedback, and empowering the team". Akiko Yamamoto is the President of Van Cleef & Arpels Japan, leading the French maison's jewellery and watch business in a market it has served for over fifty years. She began her career at L'Oréal Japan, spending twelve years in marketing across brands including Kérastase, Helena Rubinstein, and Kiehl's, ultimately managing multi-brand teams. Educated in Japan with formative childhood years in the United States, she later completed a master's degree at the University of Edinburgh. Having led primarily in Japan, she now manages a multicultural team, drawing on international exposure, bilingual communication, and deep local insight to harmonise global brand culture with Japanese expectations. Akiko Yamamoto's leadership story is anchored in a simple premise: people follow leaders they can trust. That trust, she says, is earned through care, respect, and steady examples—not declarations. After a foundational run at L'Oréal Japan, where she learned the rigour of brand building and the mechanics of marketing leadership, Yamamoto stepped into the jewellery and watch world at Van Cleef & Arpels. There, she refined an approach that blends global standards with local nuance, ensuring the maison's culture of care resonates in Japan's relationship-driven marketplace. Her leadership style is deliberately approachable. Rather than "planting the flag" at the summit and expecting others to follow, she prefers to climb together, side-by-side. In practice, that means creating psychological safety, inviting dissent early, and spending time—especially one-to-one—to surface ideas that might be lost in large-group dynamics. She embraces nemawashi to build alignment before meetings, recognising that consensus in Japan is less about avoiding risk and more about creating durable commitment. Yamamoto's calm is a strategic asset. She is explicit that emotion can crowd out meaning; when leaders perform anger, the message gets lost in the display. In a culture where visible temper can be read as immaturity, she chooses composure so that the content of decisions remains audible. When missteps happen—as they do—she follows up, explains context, and converts heat into learning. The aim is not perfection but progress with intact relationships. For global leaders arriving in Japan under pressure to "turn things around," she recommends two immediate moves: become intensely reachable and cultivate a few candid truth-tellers who will share the real story, not just what headquarters wants to hear. Language helps, but fluency isn't the barrier; respect is. A handful of sincere Japanese phrases, consistent aisatsu, and an evident willingness to listen can narrow social distance faster than chasing perfect grammar. On advancing women, Yamamoto rejects tokenism yet underscores representation's practical value. Visible female leadership signals possibility; it tells rising talent that advancement is earned and achievable. Her own leap to the presidency required an external nudge, plus a disciplined shift of attention from self-doubt to strengths—past wins, trusted relationships, and demonstrated team outcomes. That reframing, combined with empowerment of capable colleagues, made the role feel both larger and more shared. Ultimately, Yamamoto treats "client experience first, results follow" as an operating model, not a motto. Decision intelligence—clear context, decisive action, and empathetic execution—converts consensus into speed. In her hands, culture is not a constraint; it's compounding capital. What makes leadership in Japan unique? Japan prizes harmony, preparation, and earned consensus. Leaders succeed by combining decisiveness with empathy, using nemawashi to socialise ideas before meetings and ringi-sho-style documentation to clarify ownership and next steps. Calm conduct signals maturity; approachability creates safety for frank input. Why do global executives struggle? Many arrive with urgency but little social traction. Defaulting to big-room debates and top-down directives can silence contributors and slow execution. The fix is proximity: sustained one-to-ones, visible aisatsu, and a small circle of candid advisors who translate context and sentiment. Uncertainty avoidance exists—but it's often rational; people hesitate when they haven't been invited into the reasoning. Is Japan truly risk-averse? It's less "risk-averse" and more "uncertainty-averse." When leaders reduce ambiguity—through pre-alignment, clear criteria, and explicit trade-offs—teams move quickly. Consensus done well accelerates delivery because dissent was handled upstream, not deferred to derail execution downstream. What leadership style actually works? Approachable, steady, and standards-driven. Yamamoto models care and respect, sets crisp direction, and empowers execution. She avoids theatrical emotion, follows up after tense moments, and insists that client experience lead metrics. Clarity + composure + collaboration beats charisma. How can technology help? Technology should reduce uncertainty and amplify learning: shared dashboards that make ringi-sho approvals transparent, lightweight digital twins of client journeys to test service changes safely, and collaboration tools that capture one-to-one insights before group forums. The goal is not more noise but better signal for faster, aligned decisions. Does language proficiency matter? Fluency helps but isn't decisive. Consistent courtesy, listening, and reliability shrink the distance faster than perfect grammar. A capable interpreter plus leaders who personally engage—in simple Japanese where possible—outperform hands-off translation chains. What's the ultimate leadership lesson? Lead with care, earn trust through example, and turn consensus into speed by front-loading listening and clarity. Focus on strengths, empower capable people, and keep emotion from overwhelming the message. Do this, and results follow. Timecoded Summary [00:00] Background and formation: Early years in the United States, schooling in Japan, master's at the University of Edinburgh. Marketing foundations at L'Oréal Japan across Kérastase, Helena Rubinstein, and Kiehl's; progression from individual contributor to team leadership. [05:20] Transition to Van Cleef & Arpels: Emphasis on a maison culture of care and respect that maps naturally to Japanese expectations; client experience as the primary driver with sales as consequence. Expanding to lead multicultural teams. [12:45] Approachability and trust: Building durable followership by remaining accessible after promotion; maintaining continuity of relationships; modelling aisatsu and everyday courtesies to embed culture. Using one-to-ones to surface ideas that large meetings suppress. [18:30] Calm over drama: The communication cost of anger; how emotion eclipses meaning. Post-incident follow-ups to turn flashes of heat into alignment and learning. Composure as credibility in a Japanese context. [24:10] Working the consensus: Nemawashi to prepare decisions; ringi-sho-style clarity to memorialise them. Consensus reframed as disciplined alignment that speeds execution once decisions drop. [29:40] Global leaders in Japan: Close the distance quickly—be reachable, secure truth-tellers, and learn enough Japanese for sincere aisatsu. Don't over-index on perfect fluency; prioritise respect, listening, and visible learning. [34:15] Women in leadership: Representation without tokenism; the confidence gap; how sponsorship and a focus on strengths help leaders step up. Empowerment as the multiplier—no president wins alone. [39:00] Closing lesson: Decision intelligence = context + clarity + care. Reduce uncertainty, empower teams, and let client experience steer priorities; results compound from there. The Psychology of Offers Discussion includes using urgency, scarcity, guarantees, bonuses, and exclusivity to motivate buyers—drawing on real-world tactics from luxury brands and industry leaders. Investing Wisdom from Warren Buffett & Charlie Munger Karl unpacks Buffett's two rules—don't lose money; see Rule #1—and shares how the path to true wealth is rooted in patience, clear math, and avoiding movement for movement's sake. He links these principles to business coaching, stressing the power of compounding marginal gains in practice, career, and investment. Actionable Wealth Creation Strategies Explores practical frameworks for investing in business, stocks (S&P index), and real estate, emphasizing dollar cost averaging, critical thinking, and learning from bubbles/past mistakes. Notable Quotes "Performance improves by releasing tension, judgment, and overthinking—not by piling it on." "Educated people buy more. Educate your leads through that sequence of emails, texts, calls, voicemails, etc. It's not buy, buy, it's educate, educate, educate." "Persistence is a measure of your self-esteem. Do you persist? Do you feel like you deserve the business?" "Rule #1: Don't lose money. Rule #2: See Rule #1. Avoiding stupidity automatically places you in the top 1% because the rest of the crowd is too busy chasing brilliance." "Real wealth is built the old boring way, staying the course, math as the foundation." Actionable Takeaways Expand Your Drip Campaigns Beyond Email: Utilize a sequence of texts, voicemails, calls, and direct mail in addition to emails to maximize client engagement. Educate Relentlessly: Focus on teaching and adding value through every touchpoint. Selling comes after trust and knowledge are built. Create Tightly Defined High-End Offers: Help clients establish premium programs with clear outcomes and strong margins; research top players in competitive markets for proven frameworks. Test, Measure, and Refine: Track the performance of campaigns and offers, adjust based on data rather than gut feelings, and always aim for compounding marginal improvements. Motivate Action With Urgency & Scarcity: Build "windows of opportunity," enrollment periods, and limited-time bonuses to prompt decisions. Lead with Guarantees and Exclusivity: Structure guarantees (money-back, buyback, long-term, double-your-money-back) and consider exclusive tiers or bonuses to differentiate. Avoid Movement for Movement's Sake: Apply Buffett and Munger's principles: patience, compounding, and critical thinking beats frequent switching and chasing trends. Invest with Dollar Cost Averaging: For wealth outside business, consistently invest fixed amounts into the S&P index or bitcoin, regardless of market cycles, and avoid leverage. Segment Your Audience: Tailor messaging and offers based on client behaviors and demographics for better results. Prioritize Compounding Improvements: Focus on small gains across multiple areas—these add up exponentially in your business and wealth over time. Summary In this podcast episode, neuroathletic performance and pain coach Jannik Schuster discusses neurocentric training, a method focusing on the brain and nervous system to enhance performance and alleviate pain. Schuster explains how he discovered this approach through personal experience with injuries and highlights its effectiveness in reducing inflammation and pain. He defines neurocentric training as targeting brain and nervous system interactions to improve performance, distinguishing it from traditional training methods that focus on biomechanical structures. Schuster emphasizes the significance of understanding the nervous system's role in pain and movement limitations, advocating for individualized approaches to address specific nervous system needs. He also discusses the integration of neurocentric training with traditional practices, the impact of visual, vestibular, and proprioceptive inputs, and the potential for neurocentric training to become more prevalent in both athletic and therapeutic settings. The conversation underscores the importance of neuroplasticity and suggests resources for those interested in exploring neurocentric training further. In this episode of Money Tales, our guest is Dr. Claudia Six. Money and sex are two of the hardest topics to talk about, and yet the ones that touch every relationship. Dr. Claudia Six has spent decades helping people open up about both, and what she's learned may surprise you. In this episode, she shares how her unique path from growing up in Paris to counseling Silicon Valley entrepreneurs has shaped her understanding of connection, vulnerability and the role money plays in our lives. Raised in the vibrant streets of France and now a beacon of sexual health in the Bay Area, Dr. Claudia Six brings over three decades of expertise to her private practice as a Clinical Sexologist. Fluent in the languages of both English and French, yet free from the stereotypical French accent, Claudia's approach to therapy is as direct and compassionate as her life's journey from Paris to San Francisco. Educated with a Master's in Counseling Psychology and a PhD in Clinical Sexology from the prestigious Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality, Dr. Six is not just a therapist; she's a pioneer in her field. Her credentials, including board certification by the American Board of Sexology, underscore her commitment to excellence and her passion for helping individuals and couples navigate the complexities of intimacy. Author of "Erotic Integrity" and a sought-after speaker, including a TEDx talk on 'Performance Anxiety in Women', Dr. Six has made significant contributions to the discourse on sexual health. Her practice is a haven for those grappling with a spectrum of sexual and relationship issues—from mismatched desires to the intricacies of performance anxiety. Dr. Six's philosophy is straightforward: "Nobody is broken." She believes every sexual and relational challenge makes perfect sense within the context of an individual's life story. Her therapeutic style is candid, authentic and aimed at putting clients at ease, even when discussing the most vulnerable topics. Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Six is a mother, an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco, and a member of professional organizations like the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality and AASECT. Her work, both clinical and academic, is driven by a profound belief that understanding and addressing sexual health is integral to one's overall well-being. Send us a Positive Review!Series Title: A Two-Hundred Year Old Mirror: How the Faith Expansion Journey has Always Made Christian Leadership Sweat! [Episode II of II]In this thought-provoking episode, Valerie and guest Casey McFarland dive into part two of their series comparing the dynamics between orthodox leadership and progressive membership in both the early Christian church and in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They explore the discovery of the Gnostic Gospels and how their divergent beliefs sparked friction with orthodox leaders of the time. The conversation addresses the parallels between historical and contemporary challenges, such as the struggles around authority, the role of women, and the push and pull between rigidity and progressive thought. The fascinating conclusion: What we are experiencing is utterly predictable, has happened before, and is more about the frictions around community, cohesion, and the inevitability that some souls much grow...even in a correlated space! Centralized platforms cheat creators and fans with unfair cuts and hidden talent. YouBallin, on Solana, is a mobile-first platform where Talent participates in competitive events earning from NFTs and brand deals. Fans vote with $YBL tokens and Brands gain authentic engagement with target audiences. Native web2 onboarding and web3 account abstraction ensures mass appeal, targeting the creator economy's growth.Chris Arakelian is the CEO of YouBallin. She recently joined the Bitcoin.com News Podcast to talk about the platform. In this episode, Chris Arakelian introduced YouBallin as a decentralized, event-driven creator economy built on Solana, aiming to revolutionize the current centralized creator economy. She highlighted the problems with the existing model, including unfair monetization where creators receive very little revenue, algorithmic gatekeeping that prioritizes engagement over genuine talent, and an incentive structure that leaves fans as passive consumers. YouBallin's solution involves a philosophical shift, transforming fans into active owners and stakeholders through a transparent token economy.Arakelian detailed YouBallin's two-phase competitive event model for talent discovery and ownership. In phase one, emerging talents compete to be noticed by established creators ("legends") who vote for free, while fans use YBL tokens to advance wildcard talents. Phase two involves finalists receiving fractionalized NFTs, allowing fans to invest directly in a creator's journey and benefit from her popularity. She emphasized that YouBallin is a multi-sided marketplace targeting emerging talents, engaged fans, mentoring legends, and brands looking for authentic communities, creating a circular rather than extractive economy. She further explained that YouBallin differentiates itself in the Web3 landscape through its core utility, interactive event model, and domain-agnostic approach, supporting various categories beyond just music. Arakelian also introduced "TalentFi," a term for talent finance, which places ownership, instead of algorithms, at the center of discovery, aligning with the crypto ethos of empowering individuals through open and permissionless systems. The YBL token powers all transactions within the platform, fueling scarcity and strengthening participation in this closed-loop economy.About Our GuestChris brings 30 years of agency leadership and marketing communications excellence to YouBallin. Send us a textJoining me on today's episode of The English Wine Diaries is Alasdair Warren, owner of Bride Valley Vineyard in Dorset. Born and raised in Dorset, Alasdair and his family have a long history of farming in the county, with his Great Grandfather establishing Warren's cider in the 1920s.Educated at the University of Nottingham with a Batchelor of Science in Geology, Alasdair began his career in investment banking and currently heads up a Global Soda Ash business. Due to some scheduling difficulties, we're pushing back this week's episode to next week and then going back-to-back Tuesdays. In the meantime, enjoy this episode from last Halloween with Kathleen M. Brown on the Salem Witch Trials _____________________________ The Salem Witch Trials may well be the single most notorious and iconic event of America's colonial period. Every Halloween, Salem, Massachusetts, hosts untold thousands of tourists who revel in the city's occult history and reputation as America's haunted capital of spookiness. But as well-known as the Salem Witch Trials are, they remain a hotbed of historical inaccuracy and misconception. So what exactly happened? How did a sleepy, growing Massachusetts town become the epicenter of witch hysteria? Did everyone go insane, or were the Salem Witch Trials perfectly consistent with the worldview of Salem's citizens. To help us clear this up, Kelly and John asked University of Pennsylvania history professor Kathleen M. Brown for her insights. Brown is a historian of gender and race in early America and the Atlantic World. Educated at Wesleyan University and the University of Wisconsin, Madison, she is author of Good Wives, Nasty Wenches, and Anxious Patriarchs: Gender, Race, and Power in Colonial Virginia (Chapel Hill, 1996), which won the Dunning Prize of the American Historical Association. Her latest, Undoing Slavery: Bodies, Race, and Rights in the Age of Abolition, was published in 2023.

Gold is up 39% this year, largely due to the uncertainty in markets created by Trump's trade policy. The problem is that gold is just a commodity, and its value is based on what someone is willing to pay for it. Today, Paul and Evan discuss why gold's price rise is circumstantial and why educated investors still prefer diversification and buying and holding over buying something when it's hot and hoping to get out before it goes down. Bursitis is one of those conditions that's often brushed aside with a cortisone shot and a pat on the back. But is that really healing—or just a quick way to silence symptoms? In this episode of The Pilates Lounge Podcast, Katie Crane takes a bold look at how the Pilates community can do better for clients by addressing the real root causes of bursitis: poor mechanics, lack of movement variability, and ignoring the body's natural signals. Katie challenges the over-reliance on cortisone injections, unpacks the critical difference between natural and synthetic cortisol, and makes the case for fascia hydration, movement diversity, and listening to pain as valuable feedback. Beyond the physical, she digs into why community and emotional support are just as essential in the healing process. This conversation is part education, part reality check—inviting Pilates professionals to step away from band-aid solutions and lean into the body's wisdom, resilience, and true capacity for recovery. Key Takeaways Healing doesn't come from quick fixes—it comes from addressing root causes. Cortisone injections may shut you up, but they don't set you free. Bursitis is less about “bad luck” and more about mechanics and movement. Pilates offers a powerful path to restore function and resilience. Pain is not the enemy—it's feedback the body needs us to hear. Fascia health depends on hydration and varied movement. Community and emotional support are non-negotiable in recovery. The Gunns are an incredibly creative clan that has produced all sorts of actors and writers and directors, including Brian's brother James, who you might know as the director of the most recent “Superman” movie and the “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise. Brian and Mark are both Jesuit educated twice over, alumni of St. Louis University High School and the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. It was during college that they started performing sketch comedy together, and they both moved to Los Angeles in the '90s to pursue Hollywood dreams. Since then, Brian and Mark have worked together on films and TV shows, including the family adventure movie “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and a 2019 superhero horror film called “Brightburn” featuring Elizabeth Banks. Their first project that made it big was a movie and series called “2gether,” which debuted on MTV in 2000. It was a hilarious parody of the boy band era of Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC and it was influential on the development of AMDG host Mike Jordan Laskey's sense of humor. The actors playing the boy band became an actual boy band themselves, opening for Britney Spears and hitting the Billboard charts with two different albums. If you are an elder millennial, all we have to say is, “I know my calculus,” and you'll sing back: “You plus me equals us.” Mike asked Brian and Mark about their family and their Jesuit education, how they work together as a writing team, and what it's like to work in the film industry. Mark and Brian also shared some creative tips they've learned in more than a quarter century in the trade. Finally, Mike couldn't let them go without reminiscing about “2gether” and marveling at the fact that 25 years after the movie's debut, the most popular film in the world right now is another movie about a fictional boy band. Though this new one is composed of demons and they're being hunted by a KPop girl group... Anyway, we think you'll enjoy this sneak peek into the lives of Hollywood screenwriters. www.jesuits.org/ www.beajesuit.org/ twitter.com/jesuitnews facebook.com/Jesuits instagram.com/wearethejesuits youtube.com/societyofjesus www.jesuitmedialab.org/
On this day in Tudor history, 18 September 1535, Henry Brandon, 2nd Duke of Suffolk, was born at Chartley in Staffordshire. The eldest son of Charles Brandon, Duke of Suffolk, and Catherine Willoughby, Henry's life was full of promise, until it was heartbreakingly cut short. Educated alongside Prince Edward (the future Edward VI), Henry thrived at court: he carried the orb at Edward's coronation, ran at the ring, and studied at Cambridge under some of the greatest humanist tutors of the day. He was a young noble who seemed destined for greatness. But in the summer of 1551, the dreaded sweating sickness struck. Within hours, Henry and his younger brother Charles were dead, snuffing out the Brandon male line in one cruel blow. In this podcast, I share Henry's brief but brilliant story, his education, his role at court, and the tragedy that ended his family's hopes. Send us a textMost makers think YouTube means teaching their craft or competing with influencers for millions of views—but what if the real power lies in creating educated, confident buyers who value your work before they ever click "purchase"? Jamar Diggs, YouTube consultant and creator of the Low Lift Club, reveals how service providers and product makers can leverage YouTube not for viral fame, but as a strategic lead generator that transforms browsers into invested customers. When makers shift from accidentally teaching their techniques to intentionally showcasing their process and educating buyers on product value, they create a sustainable system where old videos continue attracting qualified customers months or even years later—turning YouTube into a working asset rather than another exhausting content treadmill.Jamar will be joining us in The Community on September 23rd for a masterclass called "How to Track What Matters Online." Because while we're talking about YouTube strategy in this conversation, the bigger question many of us face is: how do we actually know what's growing our business? Or put more simply: How do we know what's working? Molly Beer, Angelica Schuyler Church and the American Revolution Molly Beer discusses Angelica Schuyler Church (1755-1814), a prominent figure during the American Revolution. Born to the influential Schuyler family in Albany, Angelica was well-educated, a trait uncommon for women of her time but typical for Dutch families. She eloped with John Carter (later John Barker Church), much to her family's dismay, a decision perhaps driven by love for the cosmopolitan Englishman. Angelica was deeply involved in the revolutionary cause, supporting the French army and maintaining a strong patriotic identity even while living in London after the war. She cultivated extensive connections with key figures like George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson, and Lafayette 1758 FORT TICONDEEROGA
