In our first post-Halloween episode, Jenn tells the spooooky tale of the Greenbriar Ghost, and how this scary spirit helped solve her own murder! We then jump to the story of the wrong kind of anti-virus - John McAfee, namesake of, yep, that antivirus computer software; also a tax evader, former presidential candidate, alleged murder, and definite all-around creep. Ew.
In Part 2 of our extra looong episode, Jenn recounts the twisty tale of New Jersey's Action Park, one of the most dangerous and deadly theme parks ever. On Action Park's dangerous thrill rides, bones were broken, people got electrocuted, and several people died in terrible ways - yet no one ever seemed to pay for this tragedy. Were shady dealings perhaps involved? Join us to find out, as we get down to business!
This week's episode is a 2-Parter! In Part 1, Melissa nerds out about the fact there's a new person of interest in the Madeleine McCann Case - after 13 years. Madeleine went missing while on vacation with her parents in Portugal, just shy of her 4th birthday. It's fueled tons of theories and speculation over the years, ranging from a lone predator to human trafficking, and it's one case in particular that has driven Melissa crazy. We dig deep into what we could find about this suspect, who authorities now say they have "concrete evidence" linking him to Maddie's disappearance. (Obvious disclaimer this case is still going on - so things could change. Still, it's an exciting update and we hope this case can finally be solved.)
You guys! After a loooong hiatus, we are thrilled to be back! Jenn first tells the story of H.H. Holmes and his multiple old-timey crimes, from horse thievery to owning what appeared to be a murder hotel - complete with soundproof rooms, doors to nowhere, and body-sized chutes to the basement. Eek! Melissa tells the story of the Sampoong Mall, a giant, bright pink beacon of shopping and entertainment, until its sudden, mysterious collapse killed over 500 people, and became one of the deadliest building disasters in modern history. Could such a horrible tragedy be an accident? Or - was there a criminal element involved? (P.S. – yes, we know we got the Nightstalker Richard Ramirez’s name wrong…it was late, we were 2 mimosas and 6 months of quarantine in, whoops.) Join us as we get BACK to business!
