While he's not Nolan fanboy, Ross almost always enjoys his movies and "Dunkirk" is no exception. Despite the usual lack of human emotion, "Dunkirk" delivers an amazing story of survival via a very clever narrative structure. Intro/Outro is "And the Winner is - MaxiSoftversion (ID 544)" by Lobo

For once, Ross goes into a movie with no expectations and comes out fairly pleased. "War for the Planet of the Apes" (Revenge: Revelations. Ross stares, slack-jawed and wide-eyed, into the darkness of empty blockbuster moviemaking as he watches "Transformers: The Last Knight." Ross can't really tell if "Cars 3" was an improvement for the merchandise-driven Cars franchise because of its refocus on stories that aren't about Mater the Cable Car, or because the trailers for all the other kids' movies were stinky garbage. Ross is confronted with the worst example of a movie studio trying to start a cinematic universe in "The Mummy." This movie might as well be "Amazing Spider-Man 2: This Time with a Mummy."

Ross is more than pleased to report that DC has finally, finally made an unambiguously good movie! Though, perhaps most of that credit should go to director Patty Jenkins for her efforts in making a good story, as opposed to the lack executive shenanigans. I like to think that almost all movies are made better when they try to put some artistry into as many parts of the movie as possible, even the parts where a gross alien monster tries to whistle.
