News: It is that time of the year to start planning for the Halloween season at Disneyland. Next week, Oogie Boogie Bash tickets go on sale. This is a competetive event to get tickets for, so be sure to get in early and pick your dates. Inspire Magic Key holders can get tickets starting on June 24th no earlier then 9am Disneyland time, with all other Magic Key holders having an opportunity starting June 25th. General public sales start on June 26th. Dates start even before the Halloween season on August 17th, and run through October 31st. – https://disneyparksblog.com/dlr/2025-halloween-at-disneyland-oogie-boogie-bash-dates-and-more/ There are some other updates on the Halloween season at the resort. For 2025, Halloween Time will start on August 22nd and run through October 31st. Mickey and Minnie will get new outfits for the occasion, as usual. This time they will be a twist on the 70th costumes! Haunted Mansion Holiday is returning, along with Halloween Screams. Over in Disney California Adventure, Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween, Mater's Junkyard JamBOOree, and Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark are returning. Mickey's Trick and Treat is coming to the Disney Theater for the fall, replacing Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! Of course food and merchandise will be along as well. – https://disneyparksblog.com/dlr/2025-halloween-at-disneyland-oogie-boogie-bash-dates-and-more/ With Halloween Time and Disneyland's 70th happening at the same time, you might wonder what is staying from the 70th during the spooky season. Paint the Night, World of Color – Happiness, and Tapestry of Happiness will continue to run throughout the season. Disney says “areas and attractions around the resort will retain special touches, including decorative accents and the colorful castle photo opportunity in the esplanade.” – https://disneyparksblog.com/dlr/2025-halloween-at-disneyland-oogie-boogie-bash-dates-and-more/ This Saturday, a few authors of Disneyland books will be at Wonderground for a book release and signing. Don Hahn and Christopher Merrit will be on hand to sign The Happiest Place on Earth: The Incredible Story of Walt Disney's Disneyland, Martha Blanding and Tim O'Day for Groundbreaking Magic: A Black Woman's Journey Through the Happiest Place on Earth, Matthew Reinhart for Disneyland Park (a Pop-Up Park Tour), and finally Bob Weis with Dream Chasing: My Four Decades of Success and Failure with Walt Disney Imagineering. The event is from 10am-11:30am. – https://www.micechat.com/417417-disneyland-update-guest-injury-expansion-blues/ A couple of construction items that we have been following at the resort have some updates. Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room has a reopening date of July 3rd! Pixie Hollow has been behind construction walls for a while now, and looks to be returning on June 29th. – https://www.micechat.com/417417-disneyland-update-guest-injury-expansion-blues/ When we were in the parks a few weeks ago, we noticed new lamp posts in front of Main Street Station, by the Mickey floral. Walls are back up in this area to install more of these lamp posts. The new lights look like gas lamps, but use regular bulbs with a mesh over them to give a vintage look. – https://www.micechat.com/417417-disneyland-update-guest-injury-expansion-blues/ We talked about the neat Magic Band touch points around Disneyland in a previous episode, but there was still one location that had not come online yet. The last point in Tomorrowland, themed to Autopia is finally online. This one is a bit of a letdown as this one only makes car noises when activated. – https://www.micechat.com/417417-disneyland-update-guest-injury-expansion-blues/ An update that came to Epcot at Walt Disney World has made its way to DCA! Soarin' Around the World has been updated to fix the skewed Eiffel Tower in the attraction. – https://www.micechat.com/417417-disneyland-update-guest-injury-expansion-blues/ Over on Pixar Pier, the new Rex meet-and-greet is available. Rex is out and looks as adorably scary (if you can say that about Rex). – https://www.micechat.com/417417-disneyland-update-guest-injury-expansion-blues/ SnackChat: Trip Food (Savory Eats Treats) Discussion Topic: Spring 2025 Disneyana Event The Happiest Place on Earth- Chris Merritt and Don Hahn – https://www.laughingplace.com/w/disney-parks/d23-live-stream-happiest-place-on-earth/
Send Me a Message! The Discharge Papers returns — but not all of it is good news. In this episode, I read through my latest discharge papers from the Mater Mental Health Hospital, offering an unfiltered and completely vulnerable look at what actually happens during a psychiatric assessment in an emergency department, during my most acute mental illness battles. • The hospital notes describe me as articulate and intelligent, with strong insight into my mental health • Diagnoses listed include BPD, ADHD, autism, OCD, and multiple anxiety disorders • The psychiatrist also flagged “Cluster C personality vulnerabilities,” which I found interesting and might explore in a future episode • I talk through the ongoing challenges of medication management, plus possible future treatments like TMS and esketamine/ketamine • I also share my frustration with the NSW mental health system — while staying open to anything that might help me get better • This episode follows on from Back to the Mater, where I recorded myself just before walking into the hospital seeking help. The story continues to evolve! Send Me a Message! I'm drenched, exhausted, and dragging myself through the rain—because I'm about to blow. This is a real-time recording, on my phone, just moments before I walked through the doors of the Mater hospital. Not in crisis, but not far off. I'm tired. Tired of the medication merry-go-round, the constant inner turmoil, the anxiety and depression. Im also tired of my inner critic telling me I'm not “bad enough” to deserve any help. But, I didn't show up for fun. I didn't walk from home to the hospital at 2am in the relentless rain to go home empty handed—I showed up because I'm worn out, and I need answers. Now. —Follow my journey living with mental illness and the hard-fought lessons learned along the way. Lived experience is the driving force of this podcast, and through this lens, my stories are told. On this episode of Truth From The Stand, I sit down with Joel Turner, a guy who knows more about the mental side of archery than just about anyone. We're not just talking about shooting—we're talking about the mind game behind every release, every draw, and every moment of high-stakes hunting. Joel breaks down the difference between thoughts and thinking, why what you say to yourself before a shot matters, and how to control adrenaline when everything is on the line. We get into the transition to traditional archery, why shot control is everything, and the blueprint for building a rock-solid shooting process. If you've ever struggled with target panic, blown a shot at the worst possible time, or just want to be more deliberate and lethal with a bow in your hands, this episode is for you. Joel's approach to mental performance and archery mastery will change how you think about shooting—and maybe even how you think about hunting altogether. WHAT TO EXPECT FROM PODCAST 431 Your mind matters more than your muscles—mental control separates great shooters from average ones. Talk yourself through the shot—what you say in the moment can make or break execution. Breathe, aim, execute—controlling adrenaline starts with your breath, not your bow. You have more time than you think—rushing leads to mistakes, trust the process. Confidence is built, not given—a repeatable shot sequence is the foundation of accuracy. Flinching isn't failure, it's feedback—learn from your mistakes, don't ignore them. Traditional archery exposes weakness—but mastering it makes you a deadlier hunter. Victorious Roman soldiers sacrificed the weapons of their conquered enemies to Lua, which is the only thing known about her as a cult figure. However she has many connections--to both Saturn and Mars, to the goddess Ops and her consort Consus, to the goddess Angerona, and a little known Roman deity called Robigus. We look at these connections, the idea of Saturn as the "Black Sun" and the "Star of the Sun", and the Electric Universe Theory.

Adhesive dentistry has been taught in dental schools for decades and is widely used by dentists today. Bonding to a tooth offers increased adaptability of restorations, allowing for more minimally invasive treatment and preparation, but long-term success with adhesive dentistry is not a guarantee.Dr. David Alleman repeatedly saw failing composite restorations and realized that in order to improve restorative outcomes, posterior teeth needed more advanced protocols than anterior teeth. Subjected to higher forces of occlusion and with deeper restored defects, understanding polymerization dynamics is essential to a long-lasting adhesive posterior restoration. His research of these principles served as the basis for him developing his Six Lessons Approach to Biomimetic Restorative Dentistry.Article referenced in this episodeGibbs CH, Mahan PE, Mauderli A, Lundeen HC, Walsh EK. Today, they're delivering their 5th project. All of which have been paid for by their customers — yep, you read that right. They have not used equity to pay for these pilot and demonstration projects. Their tech takes excess heat or electricity and turns it into heat, stores it in these engineered rocks. The great conflict that we know today as the Greco-Persian Wars between a few independent city-states of ancient Greece and mighty Achaemenid Persian Empire is, in my opinion, one of the most fascinating and consequential in all of history. More than just battles for territory and glory - they were clashes of culture, ideology, and power between East and West. The war saw legendary figures such as Leonides, The Great King Xerxes, Themistocles, Darius the Great, Miltiades, Mardonius, Artemisia, Kleomenes, and countless others in action. Since most accounts of the conflict available to us come from Greek and Roman historians and writers of antiquity such as Herodotus, Plutarch, Diodorus Siculus, Aeschylus, the traveler Pausanias, Justin and others, our modern perspective is often shaped by their portrayal of a struggle between the freedom-loving Greeks and the tyrannical rulers of Achaemenid Persia—a narrative further popularized by films like 300. However, as we will explore, the reality was far more complex. Drawing on historical sources and the latest archaeological research, this series will explore everything from the causes of the conflict to its key figures, the various phases of the war, and its aftermath. This is the first of a series of 5 or 6 podcasts that will be released over the next few months. Stay tuned for future episodes.
