The fourth season of Monster, Netflix's true crime anthology, concerns itself with Wisconsin serial killer (or was he? (he probably was)) Ed Gein, played by former Queer As Folk cutie Charlie Hunnam. Did it get under our skin? Richard Lawson returns to talk about it. Around The Dial takes us through Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent, Only Connect, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Richard presents the Season 2 finale of The Traitors Australia for induction into The Canon. Then, after naming the week's Winner and Loser, it's on to a Game Time about the shows select actors did for up to but NOT more than 30 episodes. Take a break from wood chopping and join us! GUESTS

Winner of the National Jewish Book Awards in Contemporary Jewish Life & Practice and Myra H. Kraft Memorial AwardOn Repentance and Repair: Making Amends in an Unapologetic World (Beacon Press, 2022) is a crucial new lens on repentance, atonement, forgiveness, and repair from harm—from personal transgressions to our culture's most painful and unresolved issues.American culture focuses on letting go of grudges and redemption narratives instead of the perpetrator's obligations or recompense for harmed parties. As survivor communities have pointed out, these emphases have too often only caused more harm. But Danya Ruttenberg knew there was a better model, rooted in the work of the medieval philosopher Maimonides. For Maimonides, upon whose work Ruttenberg elaborates, forgiveness is much less important than the repair work to which the person who caused harm is obligated. The word traditionally translated as repentance really means something more like return, and in this book, returning is a restoration, as much as is possible, to the victim, and, for the perpetrator of harm, a coming back, in humility and intentionality, to behaving as the person we might like to believe we are.Maimonides laid out five steps: naming and owning harm; starting to change/transformation; restitution and accepting consequences; apology; and making different choices. Applying this lens to both our personal relationships and some of the most significant and painful issues of our day, On Repentance and Repair helps us envision a way forward.Rooted in traditional Jewish concepts while doggedly accessible and available to people from any, or no, religious background, On Repentance and Repair is a book for anyone who cares about creating a country and culture that is more whole than the one in which we live, and for anyone who has been hurt or who is struggling to take responsibility for their mistakes. Break out the Jordache jeans and slap bracelets—we're firing up the Past Tens DeLorean and crash-landing straight into October 4th, 1986. Hosts Dave and Adam are your snarky tour guides through the Billboard Top 10, a week where Lionel Richie was literally defying gravity, Tina Turner was calling out “Typical Males” (present company excluded… maybe), and Run-DMC teamed up with Aerosmith to smash a wall and music history all at once. Adam admits to surviving a Lionel Richie concert back in the day (dancing on the ceiling, not covered by health insurance), we deep-dive Janet Jackson's pop domination, and we wonder aloud if Carl Anderson and Gloria Loring's “Friends and Lovers” was written for a daytime soap opera—or by one. Plus, there's a Juno Awards trivia smackdown, some righteous Canadian music history, and our patented “swap-a-song” gimmick. It's nostalgia, pop-culture snark, and synthesizer-drenched storytelling—Past Tens style. Find Adam Yas music at www.adamyas.com Topics 00:00 — Cold Open: Welcome to Past Tens—seatbelts optional, sarcasm mandatory. 00:26 — Meet the Hosts: Dave and Adam: like Hall & Oates, but with more bad puns. 03:54 — Confession Time: Adam cops to seeing Lionel Richie live in '86. Drumroll, please. 01:45:16 — Winner of the Week: Adam swaps out a Top 10 dud for a hidden gem. 01:56:57 — Closing Credits: The flux capacitor cools down—until next time.

What if empathy isn't gone—just thirsty—and the rehydration begins in your nervous system and our emotional bodies? We sit down with author, neuroscience educator, and my teacher, Sarah Peyton, to explore accompaniment, the body-based practice of bringing your full self into relationship and letting resonance change you. From the rise of fascism to climate grief and information overload, we trace how overwhelm disconnects us from a healthy, sacred NO—and how tending to our disgust circuit becomes an inoculation to the manipulation, scapegoating, and burnout. We talk about unconscious contracts and how to spot, revoke, and replace them with life‑honoring vows. Along the way, we surface the baked-in conditioning culture has trained us to direct disgust at people instead of the harms done to them, and we share practical steps to reorient toward collective care and courage, empathy and agency.♨ show notes from the jacuzzi-verse ♨Free grounding meditation with Dana—a practice of calling your energy back/nervous system tending/reclaiming your attention) ~ (http://bit.ly/grounding-now)Enter to win a free coaching session ~ when you leave a 5-star rating (only) and a written review, you'll be entered into a monthly drawing for a free 90-min coaching session with dana (value of $388). Pretend we made a witty "third and taking-too-long" pun, because that's what we -- and guest Kim "Best Thing" Reed -- thought about Glen Powell vehicle Chad Powers. It isn't bad, but between the first-drafty jokes and getting stuck between two tones, we're not sure you should watch all the way to the end zone. Okay, let's ditch the football puns to go Around The Dial with On Brand With Jimmy Fallon, Kim's recent-reality overview, and Sarah's High Maintenance rewatch; and let's see if the panel respected "Authority," Sarah's L&O: SVU Canon pitch. Nicole Beharie won, Mid-Century Modern lost, and we juggled a hot potato of HBO series "lifers" in Game Time. Pair your podcast app with your Cybertruck's sound system and join us! GUESTS

That's why I'm bringing on Courtney from Pure Water — because so many of you have asked me: “What's really the best way to purify my water?” You've probably heard of carbon filters, reverse osmosis and of course the endless stream of bottled water. But here's the truth — most of those methods still leave behind contaminants that silently sabotage your health. This conversation is an eye-opener. If you've ever felt confused by all the options out there — or frustrated by greenwashed claims that don't deliver — you need to hear this. Today we're diving deep on:

There are things, as believers, that ought not be in our lives. Many times, we settle for crumbs when God has promised us bread. Jesus loosed a woman from an infirmity she had had for 18 years. In Jesus' words, what was happening to her should never have been. It is those demonic things that should have never been that God calls us to defeat. Our assignment is to take back territory that remains in the hands of the enemy so we can see the fullness of God's will in our time.
