(REUPLOAD: this was our first episode back at the beginning of October, but once it was published, the audio got tangled up with a different episode, so we decided to reupload it so that way it’s available for all to enjoy) Boy, oh boy is it good to be back! Welcome back to the Hear Me Out: Podcast! I've been wanting to bring the pod back for so long, and what better time for a horror movie lover than the month of October! Featuring a brand new Theme by Braylen Williams, The pod is back and just as good as ever. On this episode, Stephi and I discuss horror movie tropes, whats overused, whats over-rated, and what's just purely classic. So let's all go on this vaguely descriptive road trip, break down on the side of the road with no cell service, and split up to cover more ground on this episode of Hear Me Out:

Hello all! As many of you who follow me on Twitter know, Stephi & I recently moved into our apartment, & therefore were unable to get a podcast out this past weekend. So you’re getting two this week! Originally, this podcast was planned to be an “Old Horror movies vs. New horror movies” debate, but the further we got into it, the more we realized we can’t put these spooky efforts against each other. The conversation soon turned into that of one about the evolution of the genre, & how the old has inspired the new so much, and helped its growth. This is truly one of my favorite episodes we’ve ever done, so everyone enjoy this episode of Hear Me Out: Old & New horror!

Having trouble deciding what kind of scary movie you want to watch every night for the month of October? Have no fear! (well, have some.) This week Stephi and I help you out, by going in depth on the different subgenres within horror. Through describing and giving examples of each, we run down some of the most legendary movie styles, and the history that each brings. So whether it's a slasher, cannibal, ghost, or a good old fashioned classic, put on a scary movie right after you listen to this weeks episode of Hear Me Out:

We run through some of the most important/iconic movies from each year in the decade. As two people who didn't get a chance to live through the 80's, we have a second-hand appreciation for the movies that defined our parents generation & in turn helped us become the movie (and 80's) lovers that we are today!

So we both rewatched it and took some notes, and gave a detailed review along with some behind the scenes facts, opinions on references, happenings, and continuities throughout the series. If you’ve watched it, if you haven’t watched it, if you wanna watch it, this is the podcast for you! So tune in and hear us work our way through watching a classic.

Woah, what! An episode on a Tuesday? That’s right. Stephi and I spend about an hour shooting the shit reminiscing on some of the greatest concert experiences we’ve had in our life, if you like stories, this is a good one for you. We’re pretty torn up about a ton of shows we were excited for getting postponed or canceled altogether for this year, so we thought it’d be a good way to get some lack-of-live music frustration out. Enjoy everyone!

Hello listeners! On this week’s episode, Stephi and I talk about some of the most visually beautiful movies we’ve ever seen! We classify them into different categories of what we think can potentially make a movie beautiful, but of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Of course we didn’t have time to name every beautiful movie we’d ever seen, so we just picked a few that really describes our aesthetic taste. Enjoy, everyone!

On this episode of the podcast, Stephi and i give an overview on the popularity of remakes in Hollywood, along with a listing and comparison of some of the all time great genre remakes (action, drama, romance, horror, comedy, adventure.) At the very end, we do a quick run through of everything and discuss some movies that should NEVER be remade under any circumstances. Good times!

Hello listeners! Let me start by saying; it’s gonna be a long one but it’s gonna be a GOOD one, mostly because we’re covering two of the most praised horror movies of the new generation of horror masters, Ari Aster. I’m joined by Stephi again, and our friend who broke out of quarantine, Emily Grojean. Both movies have a lengthy run time, so we try to get through both as quick as possible while still covering the movies. We discuss themes, imagery, character development, and how hard it is to sleep after watching these. With no more further introduction, this is the hear me out: podcast on Hereditary and Midsommar.

I love the movies dearly as well, so we decided to devote an entire episode to (as much as possible of) one of our favorite trilogies. Listen to us talk about the genre bending, sometimes sci-fi, sometimes comedy, sometimes western, always adventure series starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd.
