He didn’t say work harder. He said trust deeper.

They say God doesn't give you more than you can handle. That may be the most significant lie known to man.

God desires to have a deeper relationship with every one of us. The strength of this relationship rests upon the authenticity of our faith. Is our trust of God genuinely free of doubt?

Rejecting the notion that goodness can exist without God leads us back to praise. In our praise, God receives the recognition He deserves.

What good is it if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him or is his faith in itself dead without works?

Peace is not the absence of conflict. It is the presence of God. When we commit to receiving a life that is bigger than us, we give God enough room to operate. From our hopes to our dreams, we relinquish every aspect from our control so God can take control. We'll know if we've given God enough room to operate in our lives if we've fulfilled the conditions for peace - seek, surrender, and silence.

Christ invites us to give up our possessions and follow Him. Understanding the difficulty of this narrative requires us to recognize a key issue. When the choice between our properties and God becomes unmanageable, it's because we've reached a point where we no longer own our possessions, our possessions own us.

The Pharisee and the sinful woman reveal the full extent of our inclinations concerning how we approach God. From the Pharisee, we discover that the path of self-righteousness begins with a comparison.

Christianity is a calling to progression, not perfection. If you're comfortable with where you are, God is calling you. God is calling you as He called Peter to walk on water - to show this world that impossible exists for the faithless and for the faithful, all things are possible.

We don't need to be impressive, just impressions of Christ. Being a unique instance of His grace and mercy to this world requires two things - discernment and modesty.

Faith is the acceptance of God in control. The acceptance of God in control is easier said than done. In the middle of our fears, when the devil is most influential, and his seed of doubt has fully blossomed, how do we accept God in control? The path back to faith starts with a single act...
