Lost civilizations like Lemuria, Ys, Thule, Iram of the Pillars, and Agartha are fascinating tales that often blend myth and mystery. Lemuria, believed by some to have existed in the Indian or Pacific Ocean, is shrouded in legends of advanced beings. Ys, a mythical city submerged off the coast of Brittany, is said to have fallen due to a tragic love story. Thule, mentioned in ancient texts, is often associated with hyperborean regions and sometimes linked to Nordic mythology. Iram of the Pillars, mentioned in the Quran, is a lost city punished for its residents' arrogance. Agartha, a mythical underground realm, is part of esoteric beliefs suggesting a hidden world beneath the Earth's surface. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

What if the right kind of water during a fast could supercharge your mitochondria and accelerate healing?Dr. Katie sits down with Dr. Petra Davelaar, a naturopathic doctor who's making waves in the world of metabolic health with her research on deuterium depleted water. If you've never heard of deuterium, you're not alone. This heavy isotope of hydrogen exists in every glass of water you drink, and when it builds up in your cells, it can throw off your mitochondrial function and create the perfect conditions for illness to take hold. Turns out, drinking regular water during a prolonged fast might actually be counterproductive because you're loading your system with deuterium at exactly the wrong time. Dr. Davelaar breaks down the science in a way that finally makes sense, explaining why this tiny subatomic difference matters more than most people realize.Chapters:05:30 - When Your Mitochondria Hit The Brakes07:17 - The Hidden Traffic System Around Every Cell10:04 - The Threshold Where Health Starts To Slip13:00 - Why Fat Fueled Diets Change Everything16:21 - The Water That Supercharges Healing18:13 - Surprising Anti Cancer Effects In The Research21:11 - The Survival Data No One Talks About24:24 - Clearing The Biggest Block To Recovery33:37 - How Sunlight Turns On Your Energy Dr. Davelaar shares data from 32 years of clinical use showing that people who cycle deuterium depleted water alongside their treatment see their life expectancy increase by three to five times compared to standard care alone. Dr. Davelaar connects the dots between deuterium, sunlight exposure, and ketogenic eating. She explains why your morning sunlight matters for burning fat, why sunglasses might be working against you, and how eating local, seasonal foods naturally keeps your deuterium levels in check. Plus, she walks you through testing your own levels, how to use deuterium depleted water safely, and why this might be one of the most cost-effective interventions you've been overlooking.Access the FREE Water Fasting Masterclass Now: https://www.katiedeming.com/the-healing-power-of-fasting/ Transform your hydration with the system that delivers filtered, mineralized, and structured water all in one. This transition requires new strategies and support, and you have more control than you think. Watch the full episode now, and share this with every woman who needs to know she has options!
Unlike any generation before them, today's children are growing up in a world where screens, social media, and constant connectivity are woven into everyday life. Their friendships, self-image, and sense of belonging are being shaped not in classrooms or playgrounds, but in the curated feeds and endless notifications of their screens. And while parents have become vigilant about supervising their children in the real world, few realize how unprotected they are in the digital one, where the boundaries are invisible and the influence relentless. Behind the statistics on rising anxiety, sleep loss, and attention struggles lies a deeper shift: the way technology is rewiring childhood itself. We're not just seeing more anxious or distracted kids; we're witnessing a fundamental change in how they experience the world. The line between real and virtual life has blurred, and with it, the natural rhythms of play, rest, and connection. What happens when the very tools designed to connect us start reshaping how children think, feel, and relate to others? Are we raising a generation more informed, or more isolated, than ever before? If technology is rewiring childhood itself, how do we begin to rewrite the story? In this episode, I talk with Dr. Carol Vidal, a child and adolescent psychiatrist at Johns Hopkins University. From TikTok "self-diagnoses" to the illusion of online friendships, Dr. Vidal helps us understand what's really happening inside the minds of today's youth, and how families can begin to take back control. Things You'll Learn In This Episode The hidden cost of "connection" Social media was designed to keep kids engaged, not safe. What happens when algorithms built for profit start shaping a generation's mental health? The new face of attention problems It's not always ADHD. Constant overstimulation from screens is raising the brain's threshold for focus, but can that attention be retrained? Sleep: the first casualty of late-night scrolling Blue light isn't the only culprit. How does nighttime screen use quietly unravel mood, behavior, and emotional stability? When identity goes digital Likes and followers have replaced real-world feedback. How does this reshape self-esteem, social development, and the ability to form real relationships? About the Guest Dr. Carol Vidal is double-board certified in general and child and adolescent psychiatry. She is an associate professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) School of Medicine and holds an adjunct appointment in the Department of Mental Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She completed her M.D. and PhD at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and MPH at Drexel University in Philadelphia, and residency in general psychiatry and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Maryland. She provides clinical services through the JHU Bayview expanded school-based mental health program, evaluating and treating adolescents with behavioral and depressive disorders, and co-directs the SMART (School Mental Health Advice and Response Team) program, funded by the Maryland Department of Health to conduct a suicide prevention program in Baltimore City Schools. Dr. Vidal is the recipient of the NIDA/AACAP K12 (American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Physician Scientist Program in Substance Abuse Award) and studies the associations between cannabis use and suicide in adolescents using ecological momentary assessment methods. She has recently published a book called "Status and Social Comparisons Among Adolescents, Popularity in the Age of Social Media." Her research and clinical interests are around problematic digital media use, addictions, depression, and suicide-related behaviors in adolescents. Find her book on Amazon. Okay, we are pretty good storytellers... but are we telling the right story? As service design professionals, we nail it when it comes to what I call "Horizontal Storytelling". We can walk anyone through the customer journey, step-by-step, building empathy for the user's pain and frustration over time. But here is the somewhat inconvenient truth: As you might have experienced, your CEO or CFO often doesn't know what to do with that story. They are looking for something else. They need "Vertical Storytelling".They need to know how a specific pain point on the ground connects up to the strategic objectives of the business. They need to know the ROI. They need to know if the needle is actually moving. In episode 8 of the Journey Management Playbook series, Tingting Lin and I are closing the loop. We are moving from doing the work to measuring the impact. If you've ever struggled to justify prove that your journey management efforts are actually influencing the bottom line, this episode is for you.We dive into:How you can translate customer empathy into business language to get buy-in.Why you can't just rely on churn or NPS as your metrics, and how to find early warning signals that prove your work is having an effect now.How to connect your solutions back to the original business challenge to see if you actually solved the problem. And how to start measuring impact today without having to wait for perfect data integrations. This episode provides the missing link between "making mapping a journey" and "driving business outcomes."What is the one metric you struggle to track the most? Send me a reply or leave a comment on YouTube, we'd love to know where the biggest data hurdles are for you.Enjoy and keep making a positive impact!Be well, ~ Marc--- [ 1. LINKS

In this episode, I break down my complete strategy for achieving $50,000 per month in passive income by my 35th birthday (March 27, 2030). If you've ever ended the year thinking, “Why didn't I get to my program?” or “How am I still drowning in clients?”, this episode is basically a loving intervention. Therapists don't miss their goals because they're unmotivated — they miss them because the system trains them to prioritise everyone else first. So their dream project becomes the “neglected child” of the business. Loved, wanted… always getting scraps. In this solo episode, I'm breaking down why traditional planning fails therapists and how to design a 2026 that actually supports your nervous system, your business, and your desire to drop clinical hours without imploding. This is therapist-safe planning — honest, grounded, and built around your real life.⭐ HERE ARE THE KEY INSIGHTS:1️⃣ Why You Didn't Hit Your GoalsWe unpack guilt, urgency culture, emotional labour, and why clinical work always wins. Plus the real reason your program keeps getting pushed to “next term… next year.”2️⃣ The 2025 Reflection RitualA three-part reflection to understand what drained you, what supported you, what made money, and who you don't want to be again next year.3️⃣ The Big Dream DumpWe explore what you actually want — dropping a clinical day, launching your program, taking real holidays, visibility, writing, creative work — without guilt or “be realistic” energy.4️⃣ Your 3–5 Pillars for 2026Not tasks — pillars. Diversification, money stability, schedule redesign, visibility, leadership, capacity. We map what this looks like for Escape, Stabilize, Expand, and Visionary stage therapists.5️⃣ Mapping Your Nervous System RhythmsSchool terms. Cycles. PMDD. ADHD. Grief dates. Low-capacity seasons. You plan for the real you, not the fantasy version.6️⃣ Putting It on the CalendarThe therapist-safe way: non-negotiables first, then pillars, then buffers, then launches. I walk through how someone in the Stabilize Stage could safely drop a clinical day by September — without collapse or chaos.⭐ RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE:Therapists Rising:• The Incubator: therapistsrising.com/incubator • The Collective Waitlist: therapistsrising.com/collective • Instagram: @dr.hayleykelly⭐ SUBSCRIBE & REVIEW:If this episode gave you permission to design a kinder 2026 — or helped you realise nothing was “wrong” with you this year except the way you were conditioned to plan — please subscribe and leave a review. It helps more therapists build businesses that don't require self-abandonment or burnout badges.

It's easy to fall into the trap of believing your business skills are what will make or break your bookkeeping business. The marketing. The pricing. The website. The packages. The team. The clients. The sales calls. These are the things people always want to jump into right away when they begin pursuing this… But it's actually the opposite of what they should be doing. Picture your business as a pyramid. All of those business-centered pieces are the "soft skills" of building a bookkeeping business…and while they're absolutely an important piece of your pyramid, they're the small piece at the top, not the foundation. So what do you need in order to build your business with a solid foundation, an unshakeable center, and a client-attracting cherry on top? Let's go over your building materials together. You already know your customers are using ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews to research buying decisions. The strategic question is: how do you ensure your brand is the one being recommended? In this episode, I walk through the five-step framework we use at Exposure Ninja to get clients recommended by AI tools — the same approach that's driven measurable traffic and sales for brands like The Ordinary. You'll learn how to audit your current AI visibility using tools that aggregate data across multiple platforms, rather than manually testing prompts. We'll cover the SEO foundations that matter (and why they're necessary but insufficient on their own). And I'll show you the "query fan-out" approach that gets your content cited multiple times within a single AI response. The most interesting finding from our work: AI tools don't necessarily recommend the biggest brands. They recommend the brands most clearly associated with specific concepts that match the user's query. This creates an opportunity for businesses with sharp positioning to outperform larger, less focused competitors. We helped The Ordinary dominate "good value skincare" recommendations across multiple AI platforms by ensuring every mention of their brand — across their own content, third-party publications, and user-generated reviews — reinforced the same core concepts: good value and scientifically backed. The framework covers five areas: visibility auditing, SEO foundations, content optimisation for AI consumption, strategic ubiquity across trusted sources, and preparing for paid visibility in AI results (which is already beginning with Google's AI Overviews). Each step includes specific tactics you can implement, tools we use with clients, and real examples of what works in practice. If you're building your 2026 marketing strategy, this is the AI Search Optimisation roadmap you need.Listen to these episodes next:How To Create and Optimise Your Content for AI Searchhttps://exposureninja.com/podcast/363/Copy The 3 Pillars of £50m+ SEO Campaignshttps://exposureninja.com/podcast/371/The BEST SEO Strategies for 2026https://exposureninja.com/podcast/368/

How many hundreds of miles would you travel for great sex? Some of the hottest sexual experiences are some of the least-expected. Sometimes that has to do with location, and sometimes it has to do with ropes and corsets. Often it involves anticipation, and it's frequently NOT about what you think (i.e. perfect "performance").Here, four of us women friends bring you behind the curtain when it comes to the best sex we've ever had. Some of what we say may surprise you! And some may be things you've always wondered about. Included topics: going down on her, blow jobs for him, domination play, and jumping off (this is not what you think but definitely worth hearing about!).When it comes to dating and relationships, stand-out sex is a big part of it -- but what that looks like is sometimes unanticipated.---Work with usReady to go deeper than the podcast and take action? Becoming Your Best Self with Beth Young: Small Steps to Big ChangeIn this inspiring episode of Linda's Corner: Inspiration for a Better Life, I sit down with Beth Young — keynote speaker, health and wellness coach, founder of The Great Calm, and recipient of the Houston Women in Excellence Award — to talk about how to become your best self through small, consistent changes.Beth's life is a testament to the power of intentional living. Raised in a home surrounded by smoking and drinking, she made a bold decision early on: “That's not how I want to live.” That choice, rooted in self-awareness, would go on to serve her through some of life's toughest challenges — including surviving a brain tumor and a traumatic brain injury from a devastating car accident. Her neurologist was amazed by her recovery, saying, “You're six months ahead of others with the same injury because you live your 5 pillars.”Beth shares her powerful 5 Pillars of Health:NutritionMovementRelationshipsQuality SleepMindfulnessThese pillars are simple, accessible, and profoundly effective — especially when practiced consistently. “It's not rocket science,” Beth explains. “We just do the basics, and we do them consistently.”We also dive into:A unique breathing technique that can prevent anxiety attacksThe importance of “starting small” when making life changesWhy movement-based meditations, like tai chi, are perfect for those who struggle with traditional meditationHow “walkie talkies” — walking with a friend — can enhance both physical and emotional wellnessOne of my favorite takeaways from our conversation: “Did you know you cannot have an anxiety attack if you're getting enough oxygen to your brain? So I'm going to show you this really cool, unique way to breathe...”This episode is a beautiful reminder that becoming your best self doesn't require perfection — just consistent, mindful effort.Connect with Beth Young:

Cold Weather, Warm Muscles: Smart Winter Fitness Tips for Adults Over 50 As the seasons change, so do our routines — and for many older adults, colder months bring more than just snow and chilly mornings. They bring stiffness, aches, and a steep drop in motivation to stay active. That's why I'm thrilled to share our latest Live Long Better episode featuring Dr. Sabrena Jo, Director of Science and Research at the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Dr. Jo is a nationally recognized voice in fitness science and healthy aging, and in this episode, she gives clear, compassionate advice for staying strong and steady through winter. We discuss how cold weather affects muscles, why older adults need to warm up differently in winter, and what simple indoor exercises can improve strength and balance — without requiring expensive equipment or a gym membership. Even more importantly, we talk about the emotional side of fitness during winter — how loneliness, low energy, and dark days can create barriers, and what role the 6 Pillars of Wellness play in staying mentally and physically well. Whether you're caring for aging parents, guiding clients over 50, or simply working to age well yourself, this conversation is full of takeaways: • Science-backed movement tips • Real-world stories of transformation • Winter-specific warm-up routines • Practical advice for daily strength and confidence
