On this episode of Destination on the Left, I talk with Lisa Conarton, CEO of LC Elevated Hospitality, who shares compelling examples of what it means to be a leader in the hospitality and tourism industry. We discuss the importance of building trust, why collaboration is key to success, and the difference between ROI and 'return on experience' (ROX). Lisa also shares how people can be proactive rather than reactive and why understanding how to go with the flow is so important. What You Will Learn in This Episode: How Lisa built her career path in hospitality and tourism, moving from convention operations to launching her own destination management consultancy Why earning trust is necessary for leadership and success in hospitality How networking and partnerships have been essential in driving growth for Lisa How Lisa differentiates between ROI (return on investment) and ROX (return on experience), and why focusing on experience benefits both travelers and businesses Why championing creativity encourages authenticity What real-life crisis taught Lisa about letting go, going with the flow, and relying on cultivated partnerships to execute successful events How Lisa approaches partnerships and collaboration, and her examples of coopetition within New York State destination marketing The Pillars of Hospitality Leadership From full-service hotel management to destination marketing and now as she builds her own consultancy, Lisa has consistently sought out growth opportunities. Her experience has shown that there are three key areas you have to prioritize: Earning Trust Trust has to be earned, particularly in hospitality, where seamless service and reliability are so important. Lisa emphasizes that trust is built over and over and over again, and needs consistency and integrity in every interaction. Networking and Collaboration Networking is the avenue to future collaboration and partnerships, which are the real engines behind growth. Not only do great relationships provide support in crisis, but they also lead to opportunities for greater collective achievements. The very definition of coopetition. Return on Experience (ROX) While return on investment (ROI) is a familiar metric, Lisa also values "return on experience"—the transformative impact of meaningful, memorable interactions that benefit both guests and the businesses serving them. Planning and execution are vital, but so is the focus on creating memories that resonate long after a trip or event ends. The Power of Partnerships Lisa shares the story of a last minute challenge, when with only 24 hours, she had to move a 150-person event when the venue became unusable due to heat. Through her well-established industry relationships, the move was seamless. While meticulous planning is crucial, so is the ability to let go and trust your partners. From her involvement with New York State's Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs) to local industry partnerships, Lisa's success stories center around shared values and transparent communication. She explains why it's so important to figure out where each partner fits, recognize strengths, and build collaborations that play to everyone's best qualities. Everyone wants to be seen as a “good guy.”But being nice isn't the same thing as being good.Nice guys chase approval. They avoid conflict. They say yes when they should say no—and then wonder why they feel resentful, stuck, and overlooked.Good men are different. In this episode of The Bedros Keuilian Show, I break down the 5 pillars that separate a nice guy from a good man. This isn't about being harsh or heartless. It's about integrity. Discipline. Responsibility. Good morning, afternoon, and good evening, everybody! Scott Carson here, and boy, do I have a treat for anyone asking, "What am I gonna do in 2026?!" Our special guest isn't just a rockstar; he's the man, the myth, the legend who got smacked with an "oh, sh*t, I gotta do something FAST" moment when he and his wife welcomed triplets! That's right, Dave Wolcott of Pantheon Investments, author of Holistic Wealth Strategy, joins us to map out your blueprint to financial freedom. This isn't about silver spoons; it's about intentional living and kicking the "rat race" to the curb!Dave's journey, from 20 years in the Marine Corps to building a phenomenal alternative investment portfolio, shaped his unique 5-phase framework. He's here to show you how to escape Wall Street's paradigm, boost your Financial IQ, and finally achieve that true legacy wealth you've been dreaming of.Here are Dave's 5 Pillars to building your Holistic Wealth:Mindset is 80% of the Game: Learn why focusing on the "six to eight inches between your ears" and cultivating an "asymmetric mindset" (higher yield, lower risk!) is crucial to overcoming self-doubt and conventional financial planning myths.Elevate Your Financial IQ: Discover why your net worth is directly proportional to your financial IQ. Embrace Warren Buffett's wisdom: only invest in what you truly understand, opting for "Main Street" private assets over Wall Street's "pawn" game.Fortress Your Finances with Infrastructure: Understand the importance of building robust infrastructure around your wealth, including solid tax strategies (aim for 20% or less!), infinite banking, and using tools like Pantheon Wealth OS to track your portfolio.Strategic Asset Repositioning: Uncover creative ways to reallocate "trapped" capital from qualified plans (401k) into self-directed IRAs for alternative investments, or leverage home equity for smart arbitrage (borrowing at 8% to make 12%+).Massive Passive Income Through Action: Dave breaks down how to build a diversified portfolio of non-correlated assets (notes, real estate, oil & gas) to achieve the "trifecta": tax efficiency, passive income, and forced appreciation – all by taking consistent action! If you've been hoping your financial future will magically sort itself out (spoiler: hope is not a strategy!), this episode is your wake-up call. Dave proves that true wealth is built intentionally, not accidentally. He'll show you how to stop listening to the "too risky" crowd and start making moves that make sense.Grab your free copy of Dave's book at holisticwealthstrategy.com and start your intentional journey today! Because like Dave's kids, who are already crushing fix-and-flips using infinite banking, it's time to teach yourself (and your family) how to play chess with money, not checkers.Watch the Original VIDEO HERE!Book a Call With Scott HERE!Sign up for the next FREE One-Day Note Class HERE!Sign up for the WCN Membership HERE!Sign up for the next Note Buying For Dummies Workshop HERE!Love the show? SummaryIn this episode of the 3 Pillars podcast, host Chase Tobin delves into the theme of strength and its purpose in protecting what matters most in life. He emphasizes that strength, whether physical, mental, or spiritual, is not merely for self-aggrandizement but is a sacred responsibility to shield and nurture those entrusted to us. Drawing from biblical teachings, Tobin articulates that true strength is sacrificial, aimed at preserving life and standing firm in the face of adversity. He encourages listeners to cultivate their strength intentionally, highlighting that it is a choice developed through discipline and commitment.Tobin further explores the multifaceted nature of strength, discussing the importance of mental fortitude, emotional maturity, and spiritual grounding. He asserts that a strong mind and heart are essential for protecting oneself and others, and he provides practical advice on how to build these strengths through daily practices like prayer, accountability, and purposeful learning. Ultimately, he calls on listeners to use their strength not for domination but as a shield for the vulnerable, leaving a legacy of protection and righteousness for future generations.Chapters00:00 Introduction to Strength and Purpose06:58 The Responsibilities of Strength12:30 Physical Strength as a Tool20:00 Spiritual Strength: The Core of Protection25:12 Standing Against Wrongdoing30:12 Final Thoughts and Call to ActionSUBSCRIBE TO THE NEW PODCAST CHANNEL HERE: https://www.youtube.com/@3PillarsPodcast Takeaways-Strength is not inherited; it is chosen and developed.-True strength is sacrificial and protects the weak.-Your strength exists for guardianship, not domination.-A weak mind cannot protect anything; it folds under pressure.-Strength misused becomes domination; strength rightly used becomes protection.God bless you all. In this Executive Spotlight, host Brian Ankney sits down with Kyle Doyle, vice president of Rinsed, to unpack what consistently separates high-performing carwash operations from the rest. Doyle introduces the concept of the “three pillars” — consistent scripted presentations, ongoing coaching and clear accountability — emphasizing that strong performance isn't accidental or dependent on rare standout employees. Instead, the most successful operators build repeatable systems that allow average frontline team members to perform at a high level, even in high-volume, high-rejection environments. The conversation explores how simple, value-driven scripting improves conversion rates, why validation is a critical but often overlooked step in the customer journey, and how structured coaching protects teams from burnout and inconsistency. Doyle also reflects on the industry's evolution from equipment-centric operations to people-development organizations, noting that scalable growth now depends on creating better employee experiences, clearer expectations and stronger leadership at every level — from the pay station to the regional office.
What if aging didn't have to mean inevitable decline for our cats?In this powerful and eye-opening episode, we're joined by Penny Wood, also known as Dr. Zoolittle, a Longevity Zoologist dedicated to studying how animals can live longer, healthier, more resilient lives.Penny's work goes far beyond symptom management. She studies aging itself - the biological processes that determine how fast animals age, why disease risk increases over time, and what actually supports long-term vitality at a cellular level.Together, we dive into The 7 Pillars of Cat Longevity, exploring the foundational elements that influence lifespan, healthspan, and quality of life. From metabolic health and immune resilience to environmental stressors and species-appropriate care, this conversation reframes what “anti-aging” really means for cats.Penny also introduces her groundbreaking Animal Anti-Aging approach - a science-based framework described as the key to biology's Time Vault, designed to slow aging, enhance disease protection, and optimize health for the animals we love, both now and in the future. If you've ever wondered:• Why some cats age gracefully while others decline quickly• Whether aging is something we can influence - not just accept• How to support longevity before disease shows upThis episode will change how you think about feline aging forever.Because longevity isn't about living longer at all costs. It's about helping our cats live better for as long as possible.Check out the Anti-Aging Course here: https://furever-young.drzoolittle.co/animal-anti-aging
In corporate development and finance, the excitement of an acquisition often masks the underlying risks. Financial Due Diligence (FDD) is the structured investigation into a company's total financial health. It is the crucial "forensic" step that moves a deal from celebration to investigation, determining whether a transaction is a winning strategy or a multi-billion dollar mistake. The 5 Pillars of Financial Due DiligenceTo assess risk and validate value, finance teams focus on five critical areas in the financial data room:1. Quality of Earnings (QoE)This is the bedrock of FDD. It separates "accounting profits" from repeatable, sustainable core performance. Teams look for Normalization Adjustments, stripping away one-time legal settlements or non-market salaries to find the true Adjusted EBITDA.2. Revenue and Customer AnalysisHigh revenue numbers can be deceiving. Analysts dig into:Customer Concentration Risk: If one customer accounts for 40% of revenue, the valuation must be discounted due to instability.Churn Rates: Understanding why customers leave and how long they stay.Revenue Quality: Differentiating between recurring contracts and one-time projects.3. Working Capital and Cash Flow HealthThis pillar determines if paper profits convert to usable cash. Red flags include:Accounts Receivable Aging: Customers paying slower and slower, masking potential bad debt.Inventory Turnover: Massive buildups that suck cash out of the business without guaranteed future sales.4. Debt and Off-Balance Sheet ItemsLurking "landmines" can blow up deal economics. Analysts search for:Pending litigation or unknown tax exposures.Underfunded pension liabilities.Environmental cleanup costs.5. Forecast AssessmentEvery target company presents a "conservative" growth story. FDD stress-tests these assumptions by modeling the unit economics (e.g., Customer Acquisition Cost vs. Lifetime Value) and building conservative "downside" scenarios. The Role of FP&A: The Bridge to IntegrationIf you are in FP&A, your role is pivotal. You are the bridge between historical numbers and the forward-looking plan. Your team must:Tear apart growth claims: If a company claims 20% growth, what is the required hiring plan and CapEx?Scrutinize Synergies: Cost synergies (office closures) are reliable; revenue synergies (cross-selling) are highly speculative and should be heavily discounted in models.Final Strategic ThoughtFDD is not a box-checking exercise; it is the firewall that protects shareholder value. Master it by prioritizing the Quality of Earnings and never letting deal enthusiasm override forensic investigation.
Is it possible to quit porn by changing your beliefs? Can you overcome porn addiction—not through willpower or positive thinking—but by going deeper into the painful emotions and unconscious beliefs that actually drive the habit? In this episode, I challenge the popular idea that you can “just believe differently” or manifest your way out of porn addiction. While mindset does matter, most advice about belief change misses a crucial step—and that missing step is the reason so many men keep relapsing despite doing “everything right.”Porn addiction is not just a behavior problem. It's not even just a habit problem. At its core, porn addiction is driven by unconscious beliefs, emotional conditioning, and nervous system patterns that were formed long before porn ever entered the picture. In this episode, I walk you through a real-life case study of a client (we'll call him Joseph) who struggled with porn addiction for nearly 20 years—and is now over three months sober for the first time since he was a child. What changed wasn't his willpower. It wasn't positive affirmations. It was the way he learned to work with painful emotions, triggers, and deeply rooted beliefs like shame, defectiveness, fear, and unworthiness.I also break down the step-by-step belief-release process Joseph used—drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), parts work, emotional mindfulness, somatic psychology, and nervous system regulation—to release old beliefs and allow new, healthier beliefs to take root naturally. We'll explore the psychology and neuroscience behind why this approach works, including:Implicit (unconscious) beliefs and emotional memoryWhy beliefs live in the body, not just the intellectMemory reconsolidation and why old beliefs must be activated before they can changePrediction error and how self-efficacy is built through lived experienceWhy acceptance—not force—is the key to lasting porn addiction recoveryThis episode is for you if:You're trying to quit porn but keep relapsingYou feel trapped by shame, fear, or emotional overwhelmYou've done therapy, programs, or accountability—but something still feels missingYou want a deeper, more compassionate, neuroscience-backed approach to recoveryThis is not a quick fix. It's not a magic wand. But it is a grounded, psychological and neurological path toward real freedom—one that integrates emotional healing, nervous system regulation, and a healthier relationship with yourself. If you're ready to stop fighting your mind and start healing it, this episode will change the way you understand recovery.Link to Blog Article for this episodeIf you're looking for deeper support and real connection in recovery, I'm opening the No More Desire Brotherhood on January 15th. Send us a textIf you want to understand Scripture, there are certain passages you simply must know. Foundational passages. Pillars. Anchors. If you were building a list of essential Old Testament texts, I'd suggest you'd probably start with:Genesis 1 — God created everything.Genesis 3 — humanity fell.Genesis 12 — God made a covenant with Abraham.Exodus 14 — the Exodus, the defining moment for Israel.Exodus 20 — the Ten Commandments.Isaiah 53 — the suffering Messiah.Psalm 16 — the resurrection foretold.Psalm 23 — the Shepherd who walks with us.But there's another passage — one many Christians overlook — that you must understand if you want to understand the Bible as a whole.I believe it is this passage is 2 Samuel chapter 7.So, let's step into it together.Support the showFollow and Support All my Creative endeavours on Patreon. After 20+ years of coaching salon owners, I can spot the pattern in under 5 minutes. Talented stylist opens dream salon, becomes overwhelmed operator, wonders what went wrong. If you're working harder than ever but not getting ahead, if you're the busiest person in your salon but still stressed about money, you're not alone. In today's episode, I'm revealing the #1 mistake that keeps talented salon owners stuck. The problem is that you're trying to solve business problems with technical skills instead of business skills. You cannot solve business problems by doing more hair.I'm breaking down the 5 Pillars of Salon Success, the framework that separates struggling salons from thriving ones. Let's get something straight right out of the gate. Restaurants don't fail because owners are lazy. They fail because owners are focused on the wrong things. Most restaurant people work harder than almost anyone I know. Long hours. Thin margins. Constant stress. And yet, after all that effort, most owners still struggle to pay themselves, still live month to month, still feel like they're one bad week away from disaster. That's not a work ethic problem. That's a sales system problem. Today's Pep talk is about the Six Sales Pillars. These are not trends. They're not hacks. They're not social media tricks. They are fundamentals—battle-tested, boring, powerful fundamentals—that control almost every dollar that flows through your restaurant. If you understand them and apply them, you win. If you ignore them, nothing else matters.

We get practical about the pain points fathers feel, the pressure of raising teenage sons, and why “just go to church” isn't enough to form men who can lead, serve, and endure. We unpack why boys need testing and equipping, and how feedback builds capacity. We talk about the power of coaches, youth pastors, mentors, and a tribe of men, and why “heroes” matter if we want our sons to delay gratification and pursue what's possible. We also hit real parenting language like trust, freedom, structure, boundaries, and why failure isn't an indictment, it's often the training ground when you actually have a plan.If you're a dad (or a single mom raising sons) and your boys are in that 10–18 window, I want you to hear this: it's not too late, but it does require intentionality. If you want to take a real step, join us for the BraveCo Ride of Passage with our Spartan partnership: February 28–March 1, 2026 in Jacksonville, Florida (ages 12–19). Register at braveco.org. And if this episode helps you, subscribe, share it with a father who needs a pathway, and let's rebuild manhood on purpose.Chapters:00:00 — No Young Man Should Stumble Into Manhood01:14 — Cole Zick Returns: The Need for a Real Plan03:39 — “Come Follow Me, I Will Make You”04:16 — The Crisis: Men Aren't Reproducing Discipleship06:41 — The Weight of Parenting Teenage Sons07:36 — Building a Network of Trusted Men for Your Boys15:11 — Testing, Feedback, and Capacity: How Boys Become Men20:12 — Trust Earns Freedom: Clear Standards at Home28:46 — The 7 Pillars of Initiation + Ride of Passage DetailsCONNECT WITH BRAVECOJoin Our Free Community for Men (ladies, sign up your man): https://www.braveco.orgFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/braveco.menInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/braveco.men/Shop: https://shop.braveco.org/ ABOUT BRAVECO: We live in a time where men are hunting for the truth and looking for the codebook to manhood.
