David is extremely down to earth and humble. The interesting thing about David most people don't know is that his family overcame tremendous adversity when he was younger, growing up poor in Taiwan and moving to the US when he was just a little boy. As immigrants, David's family worked in the restaurant business and even found themselves homeless at one point in time.
