When I wake up most mornings, I feel a great deal of anxiety and concern for what to expect moving forward with my day. I've always operated in a chasing state, so I've tied my worth to my wants and things I consider beyond my reach. Of course, this way of thinking, this 'low frequency' state of mind has done nothing but set me back from pursuing my goals and making actual progress. Yes, all of this begins with me waking up in the morning. In this episode, to the mix of four mellow lofi beats, I narrate my morning rituals and this new practice of reforming my negative headspace. This one's about night drives. Any of you listeners own a car? Maybe you'll understand where I'm coming from. Long night drives, one of my ways of meditating, I guess. I think about as much as everything during my night drives the same way I do during my showers. Embrace a more zonked out narration of my thoughts to the sound of some late night lofi. Better if you listen at night, whether you own a car or not ... Intro Track : Contigo (Prod. Greibel Sanchez) : https://soundcloud.com/greibel-sanchez/contigo First Track : Good Morning (Prod. Tired of stressing about money, almost our entire existence revolves around making money. I'm still young, so I have a lifetime balancing whatever relationship I'll have with money, but it is good to remind ourselves money isn't everything. The world is still f****ed up and needs rebuilding, our obsession to earn takes us away from valuing what money can't buy. Easier said than done, 'cause even though I wrote this piece, I'm still thinking about money. This episode features a solid mix of lofi jazz, lofi trap and lofi hip hop. A podcast for creatives. An explorative for self betterment told through personal writings of Daniel Luis Ennab, all to the rhythm and sound of lofi beats from various artists.
How often do you catch yourself saying 'I should've gone for that run', or 'I should've written those pages instead of watching TV'? Do you set aside your priorities and goals 'cause its just easier to live in a no risk state (is there even a risk doing what you actually love, though?)? Look, no more should's. No more 'I should do this...' and no more 'I should've done that...', the word itself is a limiter. For this episode, I'll talk about my own constant use of should's, and how using an alternate, and more progressive standpoint on decision making, influences me to taking more initiative for my own self being. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
After a three month hiatus, I’m back to speak on my understanding and realization of my own depression and where it may’ve stemmed from. Loneliness is not rooted from a lacking of intimacy, or money, or placement in your primal pursuits but from a disconnection with yourself. Tell yourself depression doesn’t guarantee a one way end. Depression can be the beginning and your process and progression is how your truest self is formed. Day by day. Within time. Look above. Let’s speak this into existence.
You have goals, you have a commitment to an idealized future. Do you sacrifice the fundamentals? Meaning making connections with friends, going out, nourishing your physical and mental health, and allowing yourself to experience new things. Whether you're a working artist, or someone working your way up for the desired career; how often do you put aside what could be potential gain and happiness? How do you prioritize your needs, wants, and those filler spaces that seem to overcome the more important aspects?
As Summer precedes to its near end, the farewell of a friend, and the start of a new chapter; I'm asking myself the question I'm sure everyone else is probably asking themselves: 'what's next?' . Between staying true to yourself, doing what you love, and finding gratitude for the changes that've helped shaped our perceptions for life . . . Here's the time for you and well, Me, to set aside the past and take a leaping chance for happiness. No matter what's to come.
A spiritual concert inspired me to reevaluate my priorities, my relationship with my attachments, my relationship with myself, my confidence, my self respect, and my fear of letting go.
I took a personality test. I'm what you'd consider a 'mediator'. This episode revolves on what being a 'mediator' means to me, and the comparison between self love and self compassion.
How the new Toy Story unexpectedly called me out on my bullshit (minor spoilers, sorta). This episode goes out to all the cancers born on this day.
Fail, often. Turn your failure into the soil for betterment. Don't just say, do. Change the term 'fail' to 'learn'. Stop wasting time.
We all know someone who's energy is a force of reckoning. The negative air they bring, the negative outpouring, it can drain us and rob away the positive light we've worked so hard to maintain. In this episode, I'll talk about my experiences communicating with negative people and how my negative energy in the past has affected the people I care for. Our energy is formless and shapeless, it is a part of our relationships, our self awareness, and our success.
Filmmaker and photographer Alejandro Cortès joins me in a conversation delving on relationships, attachment, traveling, self love, innocence, and Lord of the Rings. We're young, step by step getting our shit together.
We've had toxic relationships with friends, partners, and family members that've bordered a wall between ourselves and our potential growth. Many of us instantly slam the door, hold resentment, fume with the heavy grudge, and exist with a fixed mindset on the past that will continue to border our growth. This episode centers on forgiveness, and my own thoughts as I struggled to forgive loved ones and myself.
Take a moment to ask yourself the big question... 'Who am I?' and begin thinking of the important aspects in your life, and how you'd define them. Here I'll tackle what my definition of being a man was, and what it is to be a man, now.
The first episode. I, Daniel Luis Ennab, take a wing at my first ever podcast unscripted, on purpose, fully disclosing my pursuit for self betterment after a break up that left me with the absolute question: Did I Ever Really Love Myself?
