We are going to learn about this gentleman advocate during this podcast. How he discovered the Life Enrichment Academy in Shelby. Involved in advocacy over the past 45 years, he has become known as a “Professional Parent”. Anthony started his trek in the mid-seventies because of his son Ron, disabled with Autism. He started at a time when very little was known about Autism. A time where experts in medical, psychological, education and government thought that they knew best and an institution was the answer. Well, Tony and his wife Emily didn't think so. He continues his journey today as a member of the Board of Directors for Macomb County Community Mental Health and most recently accepted a committee assignment to the Board of the Community Mental Health Association of Michigan in Lansing.
