This week Casey is pulling her self up by the boot straps and grabbing that office job bull by the horns! Baby girl is less than a week into being laid off and she’s got herself an interview! And we’re talking all about why industry people are the BEST employees in ANY job! (Besides maybe surgeons or some hard shit) tune in, because what else do you have to do?

TODAY IS THE DAY, not the day we’ve all been waiting for, but THE DAY... Casey was officially laid off. Most service industry folks have been expecting “the call” for a while now, but this batch of bullshit Casey has been handed is a whole new level of steaming hot garbage. Misery loves company, and we’re here to ride that train right in to the station with you guys. CHOOOO CHOOO! Because sometimes you don’t want the positive friend, you just want to be told “yes... that fucking sucks”. With that said, Thanksgiving was tight, tune in to hear all about it.

This week we are sitting down with a little chicken soup for the bartenders soul; a man who gets you excited about industry life again. Let us introduce the one, the only, Dave Sartoris! But at least we have each other!! We took a week off and we’re excited to get back behind the mic. We’re talking petty managers, heat lamps, curfews, mental health and voting. Tune in!

It’s crazy how much things can change in a week... and also how much they can stay the same. HAH! This week we’re talking the new restaurant mask rule, and how it feels just a leeeeettle too little too late for our liking. We’re getting deeeeep with Casey’s rose and thorns and a little sad over the state of the world, and the fact that 60% of restaurants have closed in the US. But we’re also having good times and talking about top golf! Join us on this emotional journey.

This week on LS, what are we even talking about? We're still riding high after our interview with Chef Drew, and maybe even a little delirious? We've got LOTS of roses, and shockingly, very little thorns!! Perhaps the tippers are finally coming back out to play!! On this weeks episode we’re talking all about finding your passion. Casey was on a 10 (or 11, we’re not sure) day trip to Lake Chelan for some family time... and of course wine tasting! She tells her story of meeting the man behind Succession wine (which is delicious BTW) by complete chance. And how his passion for what he’s doing has lit a fire inside of her. PASSION FOR PASSION people!

This week we’re letting lose with the Cosmo Queen. She’s our resident customer informant and she’s telling it like it is from the other side of the table/bar. Sometimes you’ve been doing this for so long, you forget that it’s not obvious to the customer what we’re annoyed about, and vice versa! We learned a lot! And we’ll be better for it. Oh, and we drank cosmos, Duh!

We are so happy to be back from our week off and catch up with you guys! This week Dana has some exciting news that leads us into some serious topics! We’re talking the stigma of bartending and serving not being a “real job” and sexism in the industry. We didn’t know we were going there, but we’re not mad we did.

We are family!! This week we are singing it proudly, because there is nothing more serious than the bonds you make in the service industry. And if you know... you know! We're talking more about the post-Covid crowd and all that, that entails. Engagements, old ladies, and telling us how to do our jobs.

This week we are SO excited to interview one of Casey’s oldest friends, Brea! She’s been in the industry for 10 plus years and has most recently taken her passion for serving to the skies as a flight attendant. We’re asking her all questions and getting all the dirt! From mile high club to conspiracy theories to naked toes on the lavatory floor. We’re not holding back and either is she!

We’re deep in to the return from the Q with capacity levels changing all the time. We’re drowning in hand sanitizer, choking on our own breath, and sometimes getting tipped a whomping ZERO dollars to show for it. Is it just us, or are 50% of people so happy to be out and the other 50% are more miserable than they’ve ever been?! We’re not quitting... but WE QUIT!

In this weeks episode we find out where the rest of our unemployment money has gone... and that's to patio season. We cannot be tamed, we cannot stop going out. We also discuss our rose and thorn, and a woman lost an earring.

This week we interview our good friend Jackie. She's giving us the dirty details of that bottle service life. We are talking managers on a power trip, body shaming, and the classic "bottle service pour".

We're BACK baby!! We're talking first days back on the job AND as customers. Making it a point to chose an African American owned restaurant as our first patio adventure, and as always, Ina Mae did not disappoint.

Today’s episode is very different. With a human crisis going on there’s no way we can sit and make jokes about the service industry. Instead we’d like to use our platform to let our listeners, especially in the African America community, especially those in the service industry, know that we firmly stand with them! We want justice, and we want change.

Chicago announces June 3rd as their phase 3 date, and it looks like we might be heading back to work soon!! But we have SO many questions. Thinking about our potential first day back has us reminiscing on some of our last days at past jobs.
